Zachary Madrid◄ ► ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀ Please sit still...Zachary nodded to Daneria. He noticed the Captain slumped over the quartermaster and his eyes widened. The redcoats were retreating, but he was more concerned with Elyria. He jumped over a body and ran towards her, holding the sword close to his body. He slid to a halt, and shook her. He cursed, seeing that Zephyr was dead. He did the only course of action that he could think of. He tossed Elyria over his shoulder, looking towards Daneria. "Get the Mechanic. He's in the temple. We're going to load up everyone onto the ship. The dead and the injured need to be brought back with anyone still healthy." He said, handing Elyria to another crew member. He then stood up on a large stone.
"ATTENTION! WIND SEEKER CREW!" He shouted, holding up his stolen sword. "If you are healthy and uninjured, grab one of our men who has been injured or killed. I will bring back the body of our quartermaster." He said, and brought the sword down slowly. "Start with the injured, then bring the dead. I will treat the injured upon the ship. Once you have brought somebody back, then go back and grab somebody else. If there is nobody else to grab, help me treat the injured." He said, and jumped off of the rock, pulling a sheath off of a dead Redcoat and putting it on his own waist.
After everyone had been brought back, Zachary had put a sheet over those who had died, and had treated everyone who was injured until they were stable, or had died. Zachary had appreciated the help, and he had managed to save a great many of the people with the help of those uninjured. He sighed and went to the bow of the ship. He placed his hand on the hilt of his stolen sword and stared off to the horizon, deep in thought. What he was thinking about was even a mystery to the narrator of this post. [[OCC: Actually, I think Sven would be best set to be BEN, rather than the Cyborg. The Cyborg would be Johnny boy.]] ...This will only hurt for a moment. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Daneria nodded to Zachary and ran to the temple, pushing open the doors a little wider until she saw the mechanic, blood on his face and wrench in hand. "Come on....We need to go." She said softly, her eyes meeting the mechanic with a sorrowful look in her eye. She had seen Zeph's body, and his eyes held the look of death...the look she knew too well. His heart had stopped cold, and there was no way to bring him back now. "W-we....need to go." She whispered again and looked around the temple, soaking in blood she had only questioned how...mere hours before everything had been alright. Everyone still breathing at least. She leaned against the door, her white hair falling into her eyes as Sven walked up to her, turning her head from him she shook her head and with tired steps returned to the ship with the Mechanic and took a few with the injured on the isles.
After the dust had settled and she had wiped the blood off her hands, the Ka' had the doctor sew up her shoulder and hip quick. She wasn't in emergency...hell she was even one of the last to be examined because of rushing around helping others.....but she wandered over to the dead, to see Zeph's covered body. He was laced with a white sheet, and she couldn't fathom the man not just yawning and asking why he was covered. She walked over to the cool body, and pulled the cover back to his neck line. She could feel tears rising in her eyes but she bit her lower lip and swallowed them away as best she could. She leaned over the young quartermaster's body and kissed him on the forehead. "We'll all sail together again....one day." She whispered, her tears falling to his the collar of his shirt. She whimpered softly and pulled the sheet back over him, and turned with the back of her hand at her nose, sniffing softly she pushed her way above deck and pinched the bridge of her nose between her thumb and index finger.
How could this have happened?
She walked slowly over to Madrid, her back pressed against the wood of the rail a good five feet from him. Wiping away her tears she crossed her arms and cleared her throat. "Somehow, i don't want the captain to wake...to find her brother in a sheet." She whispered, her eyes blank as she looked out in the opposite direction.

║▌│█│║▌║││█ ~Sven Moscow~ > > > Sven hobbled up behind Daneria, looking at Zephyr. " 'E died the death 'e woulda wanted. Fightin' ta save Cap'n." He said, removing his hat in respect. "Alls I know 's that 'e was a good man." He said, and put his hat back on. "Bit crazy, but ain' we all?" The short man said, and wiped a tear from his eye. "We always thought I'd go fuhst (first) 'cuz I ain' got the sense ta keep my trap shut." He said, letting out part of a chuckle. He put more weight on the stick he was using as a crutch and looked at Daneria. "Ya know... it's 'ard losin' a good frien' like Zephie." He said, sighing. "But I think it's betta that 'e went down swingin' 'n not layin' in some bed." He said, nodding. "Ya doin' okay, Cat Lady?" He asked, not about to try to pronounce her name. It wasn't in either of their best interests.

Ria. Ria wake up.Elyria's eyes peeled open slowly, raindrops gently falling in fat drops onto her bloodied face. Hissing at the stinging ache she felt at the back of her head. She was in the arms of one of the crewmates. He looked down and smiled sadly, trudging up the ramp way to the ship. The young Connor was at his side. "Captain! You're awake." She looked over at his dirty, soot smeared face. And everything came flooding back to her. Pushing off the man's chest frantically she fell to the deck, getting up on her feet. Pip had made two men carry Sheik onto the deck so the Doctor could tend to his injuries. Elyria found him awake and propped up against a barrel, the Doctor gingerly removing the bullets from his chest and side to quickly clean out the skin and bandage him up. When Sheik saw her he gave a small pained smile. "Ely...your'e alright." Sitting on her knees beside him she didn't speak a word, her voice still hoarse from the scream she had let out previously. Instead her hands lifted his palm to her lips for a kiss and pressed it to her cheek. Tears swelled in her eyes, but they did not fall. She had stayed there until the Doctor finished his handiwork and moved on to the next injured man, a villager who had been badly burned by the fires. Pip wasn't much of a Doctor but he tried his best to help Madrid with all the wounded people. Elyria had stood up and walked among the dead, covered by sheets. Stopping at the one with Daneria and Sven looking down upon. She knew who was under there. Choking back a cry she tore the sheet off of her dead brother and looked at his face. Eyes closed, and mouth slightly parted. Zephyr looked as if he were just sleeping. Elyria covered her mouth with her hand, refusing to let those tears fall. She had ordered for the crew to help the villagers, the rest of the night was spent burying their dead as was their custom. And burying those on the ship who had passed. All except Zephyr, whom the Captain guarded throughout the night in the rain. In the morning, the rain had stopped. Clouds parting to reveal a blood red dawn. A pyre was made by the crew atop a grassy knoll for the Quartermaster and his corpse set atop. Elyria stood next to it, face blank. Seema had said a few words for his spirit, and a few men piped in to say their goodbyes. "He was a true pirate, lived to the fullest and died young." "One of the bravest among us." "Will be remembered in history." "I will always raise my tankard in his name." "Had a good heart." "el a fost inima mea și singura mea familie." Elyria finished, tossing a torch onto the pyre. Watching as the wood caught and blazed high. "He was my heart and only family." She had said in Romanian. Though now, she knew this was no longer true. Her hand gently touched her belly where the child was growing. Wondering if Sheik had heard her that last night. Slowly, everyone dispersed. There was work to be done, the village needed to be rebuilt and the Seeker had been badly damaged by the Reds, they would not be leaving until it was in top shape once more. And with Sven's injuries that may take awhile. Eventually only a few remained to watch the fire. Elyria stayed there for hours, watching her brother's corpse turn to ash and fly away on the wind's gentle breeze. I'll be with you Ria. I will.Pip was one of the viewers who had stayed. Silently approaching his Captain he took her hand in his small one. He was uncertain as to why she held those tears in her eyes but not one fell to the earth at her feet. Thinking the only reason was because she needed to be strong for not just herself, but for the crew who needed her now more then ever. He was watching her, and was the first to see the change. Her amber eyes had turned from sorrowful, to a cold anger. Something snapped there, an unspoken rage fueled by hatred. He had thought Elyria dangerous a moment ago, when she was powerful. He was wrong. Wounded and powerless over the loss of Zephyr, she is more dangerous then he could imagine. "Get the men together, we need to make those renovations on the ship. Now."Pip felt a chill go up his spine from the harshness of her voice. "But-""We are going to go after those bastards, and take back what was ours."

He couldn't think of much else but the fact that he was about to die. "I guess it ends here..." He thought to himself with no expression or tone. He was reluctantly accepting it without much retaliation. He figured there was nothing he could do about it anyways. He felt cold and getting colder, his numb body was unable to move and his injuries clearly marked him for that day. ~ The wind blew soft as he felt his breath escape him, it was getting harder to breathe. Who knew dying would take so long? He felt something roll him over on his side hearing muffled screams from a familiar voice. He couldn't move a muscle. His sight was a mixture of black and purple lines that couldn't be made out into any recognizable figures. His eyes slowly drifted to a close as he fell into a deep sleep... _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Once the pyre had completely turned to ash and blew away leaving nothing did the Captain leave. She gave orders, even helped in rebuilding some of the village huts. Gathered flowers for the burials. And helped supervise as a few men cut cut down a tree for some logs that would be needed in fixing up the Seeker. It wasn't until around noon did she board back up on the ship. Sheik had been taken to the quarters to rest. Upon entering the room her eyes immediately fell to Zephyr's bed. Feeling her heart sink she turned her head and sat on her own bed to check up on the Navigator. Bracken had peeked out from under the covers. The corgi had been watching over him all this time. His tailless butt waggled happily, licking up her arm wen she reached out to pet him before the dog dove back down into the blankets to cuddle up next to Sheik's side. Rubbing his hand with her thumb she whispered quietly, "I really wish you'd wake up. I could use a smile from you right about now."There was no hint of him waking up, clearing her throat she crawled across him to lie down in her spot beside the healing man, her head rested in the crook of her arm as she watched him sleep. Taking a deep shaky breath she spoke again, I wonder who the baby will look like the most. Will it have your hair or mine?" She paused to tuck a stray lock of his hair back into place. "Boy or girl? Your eyes or mine? I hope it ends up being like you instead of me." She hoped that if she spoke to him enough it would rouse Sheik up, any little indication that he would be alright when she clearly wasn't.

Daneria looked at the mechanic when he asked if she would be okay and she nodded, "Aye, time heals all." She whispered, "But not completely, and leave such scars that i swear ache worse then fresh wounds" She said, shaking her head. She looked over at Sven and pursed her lips, "Take your wrench and big brains down stairs to the engine room." She said and pressed her palm to hi forehead and pushed him away from her, giving him a weak smile she walked towards the mast and leaned her shoulder on it. It was quiet....no one sang songs for the victory, no one spoke at all. All she could hear were the coughing and the wheezing of those who had been injured or inhaled smoke. The sound of weakness.
She stood beside the doctor at the Pyre, her arm laced with his as she watched the fire dance in the night sky. The orange sparks reflected off her big blue eyes and her ears laid flat against her head. 'We'll sail together again one day....' She repeated in her head and furrowed her eyebrows. Zeph had been a troublemakin' man but he was honest and a good man. She turned her head and buried her face in Zachary's arm, holding back the tears made her eyes burn, but she knew if she started now she wouldn't stop for a good amount of time. The heat of the pyre warmed her skin, the sparks flicking off the wood and floating around the crew and remaining villagers. She swallowed hard when everyone started to depart, and she knew Elyria would stand there for as long as her legs would have her. She touched Elyria's hand, nearing the captain she hugged her arm and leaned up to kiss her cheek softly. Dani didn't say anything, there wasn't anything that needed to be said.
She walked behind Zachary back to the boat and pressed her palm to her abdomen, her eyes widened in surprise and she darted out of the sights of others. She hid behind some trees and leaned over, relieving her stomach of any food she had the night before. vomiting as quietly as she could she could she was left panting afterwards. "I can reap men of their blood, but one child can make me puke so easily." She growled and wiped the sides of her mouth. She threw leaved over her mess and took a deep breath. Rising to her feet slowly she rolled her eyes and leaned against the trunk of the tree. Her ears fell to the sides of her face her tail hung limp under her. She chuckled to herself and shook her head, maybe this baby would be a trouble maker all his own.

║▌│█│║▌║││█ ~Sven Moscow~ > > > Sven nodded and gave her a look of exasperation. "I ain' liftin' a finger 'til we see Zephie off ta tha otha side." He said, and sighed.
After the funeral, Sven caught up with Dr. Madrid and Daneria. " 'Ey, guys. I'm gunna need a li'l help down in the engine room? I ain' gonn' do much good on one leg, eh?" The mechanic said. He noticed that the Doctor seemed a little... OFF... but he couldn't place it. He shrugged and figured that it was the loss of so many lives. "Would ya be okay wit' that, Doc, Cat Lady?" He asked, just to have the Doctor turn on him."I will help. But you are to stop calling Daneria by names other than her own. And you are to call me by my name too." Dr. Madrid said, much to the dismay of the Mechanic. " 'Ey, I call 'er Cat Lady 'r Kitteh 'cuz I can' say 'er name. Jus'... come wit' me, Madrid." He said, rolling his eyes and hobbling off to the engine room."

❝ The ∿ Chef ❞
xxxxxDdendyl let out a small giggle as she hugged Sven back. Forcing a small smile to appear on her face. "Thank you Sven, really... I just... Mn, nevermind." She let out a nervous laugh as she watched him walk out of the room in a hurry.. Maybe she freaked him out..? Ddendyl sighed softly, 'Oh well.. So much for having someone to talk to..' A sigh escaped her lips. As she laid down on her bed and snoozed off for a bit. Suddenly the ship shook, in which woke her up. Ddendyl knew what that meant. It meant they came to a stop. Since Ddendyl did not really have a way to defend herself, she bought herself some throwing knives. She stocked up on them, a lot. Practicing in her room when she had nothing else to do. The marks were shown on her walls. The young elf began to slip on her shoes before leaving her room.
xxxxxDdendyl had finally gotta some rest and the pain her feet had become numb enough for her to simply walk it off and ignore it. That alone, made her smile. Ddendyl began to walk towards the shore. She began to follow Daneria and the Captain. Ddendyl was too burried in her thoughts to even realize what was going on. Until she heard the word daughter. She snapped out of her thoughts and began to look up at her two fellow female crew members. The Captain was pregnant... Ddendyl smiled as her eyes teared up in happiness for her. Ddendyl placed her hand on the Captain's shoulder and gave her a quick hug. "I'm putting you on a special diet. To help. If.. uhm.. You need advice throughout the process, I can help you.." Ddendyl forced the words to come out of her mouth. She did not want to tell the Captain flat out about her past. Maybe she'd get freaked out like Sven did..? She left it at that. "I have something to give you once we leave here."
xxxxxOnce again, Ddendyl stepped back and followed along quietly as she looked down on her wedding ring finger that was on her left hand. The change of events changed not too long after. One second was she walking peacefully and the next, there was a fight going on. Ddendyl stood there confused as to what to do. It took her eyes a while to adjust as to who was the enemy and who wasn't. Her eyes locked onto the neck of one of the enemies. The elf held onto the knife between her thumb and index finger threw she arm back and then forward, releasing her grip on the knife. The knife pierced the enemy's neck. A smirk appeared across her face as she felt more and more confident about her throwing knives. Practice seemed to have paid off! She knocked down a few more of the enemies as she glanced over at the Captain who was holding onto Shiek. Ddendyl's jaw clenched. People were getting hurt. Her pointed ears caught the sounds of swinging swords. Her head turned only to see John and Zephyr going at it with each other.
xxxxxAll of a sudden, her eye sight began to take a blur. An excruciating pain appeared on her head. She felt the blood trickling from the back of her head down to her neck. Ddendyl turned around to see one of the men smirking. She growled as she launched herself towards the man, holding her throwing knife tightly as she slight his throat. Not too long after she began to stumble as she walked. One of the villagers stopped to help her move. She couldn't tell what was going on. The noises in the background seemed muffled and long distanced. It was not long before Ddendyl fell unconscious from her head injury.
xxxxxIt was not long before Ddendyl woke. She was told as to what happened by Sven. Ddendyl attended the funeral. The entire time. Paying her respects to the man who gave her a chance to prove herself. He gave her that fighting chance and she needed to at least fulfill what he saw in her as well as paying her respects. She stayed at the funeral for as long as the Captain herself did. Waiting for the Captain to leave for her to leave as well. She was not going to allow the Captain to feel alone. The woad elf was a bit shocked at the Captain's words. But she followed them regardless. Helping the villagers rebuild their homes.
xxxxxDdendyl had many things on her mind at the time. She needed to talk to the Captain about her diet plan. Ddendyl needed to see Sven and thank him for listening to her back then. The young elf bit down on her lower lip and shook that last thought away. No, he should already know how much she appreciated it, she did not need to show more appreciation that she already has. Ddendyl pondered on what else she needed to be done while her body mindlessly continued to work on rebuilding the homes of these people. The sharp pain came back once again and Ddendyl's hand immediately let go of the wood she carried to hold onto the back of her head. Her jaw clenched as she took deep breaths holding in the pain to herself. After a while she was able to withstand the pain and continue working. In her mind, she was debating as to whether or not to visit the doctor once more. In all honesty, she did not want to trouble the doctor any further than she already has with her foot injury. Which already seemed to be healing quite well, no infections at all!
xxxxxAfter a few hours of working Ddendyl began to take a break. Her pearly whites sank into a juicy green apple. The sweet taste danced across her tongue as her eyes closed savoring the moment of peace. Once she opened her emerald eyes, she looked down at the apple, which shortly lead to her left hand. There was something wrong.. Ddendyl's eyes widened as she realized her wedding ring was gone. She looked at the ground around her franticly while holding the apple in her mouth. The grains of sand slid in between her fingers, but no ring was found. 'Where could it be!? No.. no..!' She cried out into her thoughts as she leaned back against the tree, forcing herself to eat the apple. The black haired elf had a troubled look on her face. It was obvious that she had lost her appetite.

The clouds were dark and gloomy, much like the Captain's mood. It rained on and off for days after Zephyr's funeral. Elyria stood at the helm, tight lipped with a now permanent scowl and her arms crossed over her chest. Ignoring the soft drizzle of rain that was passing by, sending droplets through her hair and down her cold neck. The village had been successfully rebuilt with whatever lumber that could be salvaged, and the ship was ready for sail. Everyone was saying their goodbyes to the villagers, Elyria had gone off on her own to look at the hill one last time. There were still remnants of ash here and there in the grass. Sitting on her knees, the Captain's fingers raked through the blades of green, collecting whatever little bit of ash remained, clenching tight into her fist. Eyes shining a deadly silver she growled under her breath through her teeth. "I will have my revenge."She stood quickly and turned on her heels, coat flapping in the passing breeze. "Hoist the sails! Man your stations, I want this ship in full throttle, do you understand me?!" The Captain bellowed as she stalked across the deck. With her Quartermaster dead and Navigator checked out, she was having to resort to a lot more tasks at hand. The men moved as quickly as their able bodies would let them, fearing her hidden rage. The Captain was using the locket to track down the Redcoat's ship. And they were catching up on the trail. The men were starting to grow suspicious. At times the Captain's eyes would turn blue and the moment she blinked they would revert back to the regular amber color. And somehow, she knew where to go after the enemy. The Reds were several days journey ahead of the Seeker, so the Captain's hidden knowledge of their whereabouts was more then an alarm to call strange. When confronted about it she didn't hesitate to throw a punch, knocking the man out cold on the deck. She offered to let anyone else object her, no one rose to challenge.
