Logan's lungs burned as he cut down a side alleyway in an attempt to shake the brumak. He stopped briefly and attempted to regulate his breathing as the large beast thundered past, oblivious. With a few more heavy breaths Logan's knees shook and collapsed under him. He laughed slightly before standing, using the wall for support. Logan scanned his surroundings, trying to remember if he'd been to this part of the city before. Glass crunched under his feet as he left the safety of the alleyway and looked around.
"Looks like downtown" He mumbled to himself, gazing at the buildings. On one of the apartment buildings he could see the old burned out husk of a King Raven. A cold feeling welled up inside his gut as he slowly made his way towards the building, his legs no longer under his control. In the back of his mind he had an inkling of what he would find on that roof, but he had to be sure.

Corporal Jared Henderson sat there as he listened to Liam give her pep talk and listened as she came over to him and he nodded his head as he gave her a thumbs up"You don't need to worry about me, I'll be hiding behind you the whole time"he openly laughed at the thought of hiding behind the 5'4 woman. However the laugh was short lived when the Raven was shot by a rocket"s**t!"he cried out as the medic tumbled out of the Raven. He ended up tucking himself into a ball in order to lessen the damage since he didn't have time to put on the parachute on. As Jared landed he rolled on the ground and sprawled out as he felt his entire body become sore from the rocky landing.
As he was about to get up Liam made her way over to him and asked him if he was OK"Heh Don't worry about me, the rocks broke my fall..."he laughed again as he stood up and readied his Lancer as he glanced at Liam and eyed her up and down to ensure she didn't have any wounds that would impede her movement. Not seeing any he then checked his med pack and was relived to find that he didn't lose any of his medical tools. He then looked at Liam"So where to Captain Lady?"he asked, waiting for her orders.
▁ ▂ ▃ ▄Ɍeishka▄ ▃ ▂ ▁ ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± Walking slowely around Reishka growled when he heard from one drone that a few humans made it out of the crash. He grabbed the locust by the neck and said in a foul voice "Find and destroy them." He sounded impatient with what he had to work with but he wasn't going to question his queens motives. She knows what is best to win this war and he would follow her to the grave.
When the drone left the theron pushed his way through a pile of rubbish. He searched and searched but nothing of use was found. Turning around he moved onto the next room and coming to a hault he sniffed the air. Something strong with a scent filled the air. It smelt like fear and human. Trying to pinpoint it he looked till he spotted a cowaring stranded. Laughing he walked over and picked the creature up by the throat.
Stepping back he walked outside in the open with the struggling stranded clenched in his hand. He held the other up high and hissed to any other COG in the area. With one single moved he choked the life out of the human and when it went limp he cast the lifeless being to the side. Letting out a roar he turned to his right and pushed on.
For RAAM!

As Liam looked about, she took in his small joke, and smiled lightly. It was good to know he had a sense of humor, but not an attitude that would compromise this mission. "I think we're going to get along just fine." She teased before looking down at him, noticing him checking her out. She knew it wasn't in that way, but she never had a man stare at her like that....it was different. Liam looked away, in all seriousness, the woman gently placed her hand on her bare stomach, there lied the grotesque scar that is a constant reminder. "Believe me when I say that; no pain can ever amount to this one from many years ago....." She then motioned forward away from her solder, pulled out a pair of binoculars, and checked to see what it looked like ahead. That's when she saw a commanding Locus strutting out with a survivor, not one of military though....just a straggler...
He was using that person as a warning....perhaps a calling to other COG members who might be seeing this.....She then watched how easily he took the life of a defenseless person and toss the body like a rag doll. Liam lowered her device and turned to face the other solder. "About 6 clicks from here, there is a locus commander.....We must find the others and regroup before this tank finds them....." Liam placed her back against a bolder as she began to fiddle with her com hoping it would link up to the other sergeants link....maybe one of his teammates will listen in. "Can anyone hear me? This is Sargent Depue, I came with back up. However, that commanding Locus took out what I had, only one other survived...." She waited for a response but nothing, only static. Liam growled in frustration as she flicked her head to the right. She can only hope that someone heard her transmission.
Jared nodded his head when Liam informed him about the Locust Commander and glanced in the distance towards the fallen Raven and shook his head"The only one's left is the Captain and a Medic...Dammit... "he grumbled to himself before turning back to Liam as he heard her trying to contact anyone"We should get going, staying out in the open like this is just asking for disaster...."Jared stated as he hefted his lancer in the air and awaited orders, staying on high alert.

Liam bit her bottom lip, stealth is not something she knows, she is only use to staring death in the face, and living to tell about it. Liam looked back to her solder and nodded. "You're right..." She trailed off and noticed a deserted building not to far. Liam looked over the bolder behind her to see that the Locus commander had already left. Looking back to her solder she motioned her head to the right. "There's a building over to the right, we'll have to take up camp there, and see if communications holds a better signal." She added. She picked patted herself down to make sure her gear was intact, this included not only her armor, but her weapons as well.
She smirked to herself knowing that she still had her different types of explosives on her belt. That captain was not about to take away her demolition expertise. Liam continued on, knelt down, and out of sight as she motioned towards the building, and kept herself on high alert. She looked behind her to make sure her solder wasn't to far or out of her sight. Looking ahead, she made it to the first pillar of this broken building. She hurried to press her back against the wall and looked around, double checking to make sure it was clear. So far, only a few rats. but no sign of Locus. She raised her left fist in the air and made and puling motion, just once, to signify that the coast was clear.
She reared around the corner of the post and into the broken building, noticing the loose wires that hung from the low, and crooked ceiling, papers scattered across the floor, along with broken up tiles below her feet. Lights flicked in the distance, echo's of the sounds of sparks going off from time to time. Nothing to be concerned about, but this place was a dumb nonetheless. Liam looked around to be doubly sure that this area was clear. again, it is. She then sat herself on a metal desk and turned on the communicators. "Come in, this is Sargent Dupe, does anyone copy?" She waited, she was receiving something, but static and silence was returned...no one was answering...... "Damn it!" She cursed under her breath.
The scope read it all like an open book. The brumak, the Raven and the outcome of what would happen when the two met. The blasting sound of missiles screaming off the brumaks shoulders tore across the air and impacted the raven. Davian could only watch helplessly as the squad from the raven where either killed in the resulting explosion or thrown from the chopper. They had fallen in business district of the city about 2 klicks west of there current position. His eye blinked and his past filled his mind seeming to freeze time as a memory rolled across his mind. How many times had he seen such a action and had been unable to do any thing.His fingers gripped the sniper in his hands a bit harder as he watched the action unfold before him. He watched the brumak begin to lumber towards the raven along with a squad of locust. He picked out a Theron among them with a torque bow.'Must be the leading elite among the cast here on the ground.' davian though as he moved passed his squad towards the stair well. Davian ascended the stairs quickly his boots thumping against the floor as he moved up to the roof. he climbed until he hit the door to the roof. He pulled his cloak tight against his body and shoved the door off its hinges.The door couldn't resist the COG's strength. He was instantly hit with the suns rays which did little to slow the effect of the COG as he ran across the rooftop. He slid into a spot against an air conditioning unit. Bringing his scope to his eye he looked again to try and get a glimpse of the burning raven, His scope came up empty with nothing but smoke coming from a hill side with a few buildings dotting it. 'Ugh they came down hard' he thought as he caught the glimpse of the Theron guard standing there with a stranded in its hand. His scope and cross air where laid right on its head, with his finger twitching to pull the trigger but he couldn't pull it he had his orders. Davian could only sit there and watch as the threon strangled the man and than threw him aside like trash.The sight only reinforced Davian's hate for these beings. his mind swelled with hate as he stared at the locust knowing its life rested in his hands but he wasn't given the order to fire. Suddenly though a voice came over his ear piece. It was the voice of the sargent form the base when the recruit picking had been going on. ' heh nice to hear a friendly voice' he placed his hand to his comms piece and tapped the transmit button. "This is private first class Davian Maxwell, Hearing you loud and clear Sargent." he paused for a second turning his attention to the brumak that seemed to be stalled due to the buildings. "It seems you came down pretty hard, I'm surprised you made it out of there, Is there any one else with you?" Davian said his voice calm yet concerned for them as he kept watching locust troops start to search the area for survivors.

Liam snapped her head to the side as she heard a voice, rather clearly from her com. She looked over to her other solder and smiled with relief. "Glad to hear a voice nonetheless." She responded. She then stood up and began to pace back and forth. "Maxwell? Where's your Sargent?" She thought to ask with a stern voice. The fact that Logan wasn't answering was rather troublesome....Did he die already?....He owed her lunch and a lot more.....Liam sat herself back down and sighed, looking off in the distance.
"Other than the obvious, myself....and another; Corporal Henderson, luckily for me, he's my medic." There was a small pause before Liam lowered her head. "I'm sorry....we're the only ones who made it out alive...." Liam looked to her solder. She felt like she had failed everyone. "I think you should know that Charlotte is in the medical bay no thanks to her other teammate...but the doctors say she'll pull through. They told me she called out your name with a smile on her face. She must be having pleasant dreams about you." Liam teased. it wasn't like her but she thought it would help to brighten up spirits....even after so much death before and now facing them.....
"Where is your position now solder? Tell me your situation and where your teammates are." Liam added again back to fairness. after all, she cant let people start thinking she's a softy. She has a reputation to uphold after all. Liam smirked to herself, she had many plans for the enemy....one involving her bathing in their blood. And bringing in the fear to everyone who made her this upset...it'll be a good way to release all this built up energy of pure hate.
A smile came to davian's face at the unexpectedness of the question as to where is Sargent was and the answer he had to give. "Well the Sagrent you could say has balls made of steel as he rang the dinner bell for one of the brumaks to pull it away form our position." He said calmly but a small touch of humor filtering into his voice. His attention was drawn for a second to a locust on a piece of scaffolding. He scooped in and aimed at the wood. He slowed his breathing and then gently pulled the trigger. 'peew' was the audible sound coming from the silencer on the end of his sniper rifle. the bullet though found its mark and the would scaffolding collapsed taking the soldier down with it. Then the Sargent voice filled his ear again. she mentioned charlotte and how she had made it back but a smile graced his lips at what she had done. "i'll make sure to visit her when we get out of this mess,As for my position where over the hill between your crash site and us." he watched as the locust remained unmoving and the other tangos begin to move about to try and see if it was still alive. "my squad is waiting down stairs we lost our heavy weapon specialist to heavy fighting that occurred from the brumak fining at the Sarg." Davian said [check blow]

I think its opk if we eliminate her character due to it sounding she will not be on any time soon and as for the corproal I don't know if i should make him KIA or MIA or just leave him as is due to lack of attendance

Jared followed right behind Liam as they made their way inside the building and made he remained silent as she tried once again the contact someone. However he gave a smile behind his helmet as he heard the man speak and remained quiet as the two went back and forth. Once there was a pause he decided to quip up"Hmm that's not that bad, all we have to do is sneak around, fight through locust, and possibly a brumak or two, no prob!"he said in a playful sarcastic tone. He glanced out the window and saw some locust far off in the distance and walked away from the window and held his lancer pointing down as he rubbed the back of his exposed neck"so Boss Lady, I guess we have out next destination!"he stated rather cheerfully as he stretched a little bit, getting the kinks out.
▁ ▂ ▃ ▄Ɍeishka▄ ▃ ▂ ▁ ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± Searching and tearing his way through rubble the locust started to get more impatient. No one in the area could find anything. Just as Reishka was about to call out for a Reaver pick up his eyes were drawn to something. It showed a symbol of the humans COG emblem. Going over he studied it then smirked before picking up this command centre nod and taking it outside. From there he handed it to two Kantus monks.
Turning his head back and forth he eyed the two locust. "Take this back to our stronghold." This device would be great to spy on human frequency. Learn their plans and develop a new sortment of strategies. This time his race would have the upperhand and drive every homosapien into dust.
Calling for a Reaver he told the two to be careful with this device. He didn't want his queen to be upset. Turning his back he saw the Kantus' ride and when it arrived he watched them climb on and fly out of the ruins. Reishka then moved onto his second task; find and eliminate the humans in the area.

"I'm sorry for the lose..." She looked over to her solder and smiled "Indeed....First class Maxwell, we will be moving in your position, I'm counting on you to watch our backs, We need to regroup and finish off the enemy here, and get everyone back home." Home.....she missed it but with the cog's, they are her home now, and she is willing to do what needs to be done in order to see them alive, and make it back to the base. Home is nothing without a family.
"Be ready to see a flare, that will be my signal that I'm heading your way, it will also likely alert any locus near by. Liam out." She finally added. She looked to her gear to make sure everything was still there, she hacked the com device on her right forearm and began to search for the last way point of communication. Once it blinked on the com, she was able to determine the best route to take. "Your right corporal, it seems we do have our path." She responded with a smirk. If it were her way, right now she would be wrestling with a Brumak, but since this operation requires stealth, she will need to take the other route.
"If you're then lets get going." Liam stated, double checking her ammo slots as well as her equipment once again. She didn't want to make a mistake, one mistake and someones life pays for it. She wont let that happen, not here, not now. Holding the assault riffle close to her she duck low and ran to the back of the broken building that lead back out in the open on the other side. She examined her surroundings, Looking back to her solder, she did the hand gesture signaling that it was clear to move. That's when she looked around and noticed from about 8 clicks from her, she saw the position Maxwell was in. At least where he stated. She pulled out the flare gun and shot the flare straight up, letting loose a red flame followed by smoke from under it as it shot up into the sky.
