The younger mage gave a slight huff towards Nis, who clearly didn't understand Cobalt's own duties, or if he did was being blatantly ignorant of them. As the assumed captive awoke, he remained silent for a moment before finally coming closer to the trio and speaking. "I am not assigned to watch you, I have more pressing duties than to do so" he stated more clearly with a slightly annoyed tone, "And even now you clearly have a disregard for your own state of mind in your studies: use of powerful magic can lead to corruption. If you want to succumb to it, be my guest." Eventually, he walked past the pair and looked out the window along with Night Hawk.
"That's quite a sight, isn't it? From up here, you could see the entire city of Canterlot, what's not in the mountain anyway" he said to the rather curious unicorn, only turning to face him about hearing of his eyes. Instead of shock, it brought a bit of a smile to his face. "Interesting. You have the eyes of a Sentinel, one of Luna's personal guards. Part Noctral, I'm guessing?"

"well good to know SOMEONE out there can read me....annoying as it may be...I have a job to do....Cobalt...if you want to come you can...that is what I offered...if not...then I have some research to attend to..." his horn flared and the wall lit up opening a portal to manehatten. "...all aboard..."
Hawk smiled as he looked at cobalt. "imfully nocturnal actually, born and raised in the dark like my ancestors before me, all the way to when mother luna founded the garden on shadows, I was going to be inducted into mother luna's royal army 3 cycles from now." he said as he turned back to the window" but they can tell you what happoned,i don't wish to talk about it." he said looking out when he heard digi say something about contacts. "now why would anypony change there eye color, its like forsaking a part of who they are." hawk said still looking out of the window. "though I have a hard time accepting the fact that you sun dwellers live in peace when mother luna was banished to the moon all those many years ago." he said, for he was raised to believe nightmare moon was the true ruler. "but it doesn't matter, I've made my mind up, im going to give up the night, and live in the day." he said as he closed his eyes, trying to calm his heart from beating fast.

"No, no, not nocturnal, Noctral. They're like Pegasi, but they have a slight glow in their eyes and dragon-like wings. You obviously lack the wings, so the eyes give the impression" Cobalt Lightning corrected and tried to explain, waving a dismissive hoof towards Nis. "But what changed? Of what I understand being under Luna's personal wing is an honor even higher than the Alicorn Gift, at least that's according to my best friend who calls himself Luna's personal weapon in Living form. He's got an axe as big as himself to back it up, too, can dumb as a rock, though." From the last part of that sentence, the unicorn held back a laugh. "The Sentinels call themselves 'Children of the Night,' though they claim that is because they're most active during the night. It wouldn't make a difference if they were part of the same group or not. Judging from you calling Luna 'mother' I can only assume the same for you, hm?" The question was obviously Cobalt's attempt to stop rambling, as he figured obviously the newer comer wouldn't want to listen all the time.
Hawk nodded. "yes I call myself a child of the night, but..." he sighed as he began to walk over to the portal. "I tried to save somepony who is now in a coma, and they believe I did it to her, I have been branded an outcast because of it." he said as he stepped through the portal.

"see ya later, unless your coming up to you I guess,"he said dizzily waving at Colbalt with no lack of energy, then stumbled torwards the portal running into the walls a few time before finally stumbling the portal.
Exit to somewhere, probably Manehatten, who knows, dizzy Digi certainly doesn't

"Right this way....as you can see...you are now in the canterlot castle....the RnR tower to be exact....I am very high up in the ranks here....if they could just look past the questionablility of my work and appreciate the wonders I put out I would be number one in this place...." one of the various working unicorn researchers peeked up and gasped about to come forward recognizing the fashion star, however before he could set a single hoof in her direction Nis glared daggers of bloody abomination at him, the air shivered and the poor pony turned white before slinking back to work "....its just down the street I assure you he is quite skilled....though be wary such simply ponies have a hard time coming to terms with reality when greatness is before them..."
