Sorrel listened to the other male silently- his expression never shifting. The place Gregory had grown up.... had definitely felt cold- a place where he was simply another pawn in the grand scheme of things. His gaze shifted to Greg when he heard the other turn his head to look at him. Warmth flooded the male- warming his face ever so slightly when his gaze was caught by the others.

A warm smile bloomed on Sorrels face in return "Well I must warn you in advance, but we can all be a bit over baring. Prepare for your personal space to be invaded every day," He voiced lightly- pulling his gaze from the other males- mainly because he was finding it hard to maintain such a... focused gaze. It reawakened that shivery feeling in his gut- something he really wasn't used to feeling but it was obvious to him now that it had something to do with Greg.

"A..anyways. You're full of surprising questions as of late" He murmured- hoping the slight tremor in his voice could be played off as sleepiness- yawning to emphasize the fact that he was still sleepy- even though he was quite aware of the presence at his side.

After their exchange and Sorrel looking away, Greg remained silent again only for a moment. He slowly sat up and shifted so he was facing the dying coals and his back facing Sorrel. His arms lay limp upon his knees as he was transfixed on the charred remains of wood. A low chuckle filled the air as he stated, "Well I don't think i'll mind having my personal space invaded. You live a life of loneliness you tend to grow a large appetite for company. You grow desperate just to have someone speak to you, even a single word is enough to fill that loneliness for a day. My darkest memories was at the age of eleven. For a full year I was isolated, stuck in that bleak place I considered a home. The only company I had was the woman who bathed and fed me but even she remained quiet around me. It was as if I were some inanimate object. A doll tossed aside and only polished when guests came over and my presence was requested."

A slow blanket of sorrow seemed to have fallen on him. His head hung slightly as he took a moment to find the next words. These were memories, thoughts he had never been able to share with someone. As much as it pained him, it also felt good to let it out.

His body seemed to tremble only faintly as his voice wavered when he continued, "I was only a child was I not? Even then...I had desired nothing more but to no longer exist. I had prayed night after night so that someone would have mercy on me. So I could no longer wake up. Can you believe that? The mysteries of death was more appealing to a child than life." He took a moment, tilting his head as two or three tears managed to make their way down his face.

"God...I didn't realize I was already dead, living in hell and my parents the devil himself." He paused again, letting out a stifled laugh as he looked down and muttered, "Does that make you a heroic angle? Saving a damned soul from hell?"

Sorrel fell quiet again as Greg shifted to sit up, listening to the male- his brows gradually furrowing. It was hard to think of anyone as an inanimate object- but it seemed that Greg's mother and father were truly cruel individuals. Sorrel pushed himself up with one arm- angling himself towards Greg as he continued to speak about wanting to die at such a young age- his own chest aching at the thought of it. Finally he cracked when he heard Greg asking if he was an angel sent to save him from hell- he rose up- reaching out and pulling the other into a warm embrace, one hand resting over Gregs heart, whilst his other smoothed through the other males hair in a soothing manner- his own eyes glistening with unshed tears,

He wouldn't cry, but that didn't mean his heart didn't ache for the individual whom he now held close, even though Greg hadn't had any say."I'm no angel. I just happened to stumble into your garden- and I knew of a way to help. It wasn't me who enabled you to walk, or built you a hut- it wasn't even my decision to make in allowing you to stay here. You survived and built this for yourself. You could have given up- but a part of you didn't." He murmured, stroking the males hair soothingly as he spoke- untangling any little knots he found gently.

Greg took some time to collect himself as he rubbed his eyes and finally calmed his nerves. He was just glad to get some of that darkness off his chest and he certainly felt a lot lighter. He let Sorrel comfort him a bit more before slowly sitting up straight and looking at the male as he smiled softly. "I don't know about all that, but either way if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be here in the first place. Perhaps it was fate. Who knows, maybe you and I were destined to find one another." Greg stood up and walked over to the window as he looked outside to see the villagers continuing about their day.

It was cheesy what he said, but he meant it. Knowing he could confine in Sorrel made it that much easier to accept how he truly felt about him. Of course he was too embarrassed to say or express any of his feelings.

"I feel a lot better now. Alive!" He chuckled and turned to look at Sorrel as he smiled brightly at him. Greg went from sullen to happy pretty quickly but only because he let go of all his resentment and anger he had toward his old home. Now he could truly move on and start a new life here.

Sorrel let his arms drop as the other male shifted to sit up straight- meeting the other males eyes evenly as he spoke. Destiny? Perhaps, he wasn't all too sure himself. He let himself sink back- crossing his legs as he watched Greg wander over to the window- and returning the others smile when he turned back to him "I'm glad to hear it." He voiced- lifting a hand to rub it through his own slightly tangled hair.

Pursing his lips he debated getting up and doing something productive with his day- but honestly he really couldn't be bothered and thus he simply flopped back onto the furs and stretched his legs out- his arms spread wide. "Well.... as I said- lazy day. I don't see myself doing much of anything at all today." He stated quite proudly. With that he grabbed one of the furs and pulled it across himself- a smug little smile on his lips as he snuggled into the fur. He loved soft things- and the furs provided him with a very silky and comfortable cocoon.

Greg smiled and watched as Sorrel laid back and commented about today was still a lazy day. With a nod he replied, "Very true, I'm sure you deserve a day to yourself. I'll be doing whatever job I can...so I'll see you later." He walked over and looked down at Sorrel as he reached down and gave him a playful poke on his forehead before heading out. He walked out of the hut and took a deep breath of fresh air. It seemed everyone was busy and there were a couple people that seemed to need help and so he did his best to help out any way possible. Greg helped with heavy lifting and even fishing. At times he was taken to the river when he was younger and so he learned how to fish.

The day seemed to last forever but he enjoyed it since he was able to contribute a lot. When he helped bring fallen tree's back ot the village to chop up and put into the stack of firewood. He heard giggles every now and then as he finally took notice of the group of girls that had been following him while he helped around.

Greg felt sweat drop down his forehead as he smiled at the girls which caused them to give out a squeal. The men he was helping laughed and commented how he was here not even a month and already a fan club.

Sorrel lifted his hand to swat away the other males hand, though it was a very lazy gesture and extremely sluggish. When the other male took off Sorrel simply rolled over and snuggled into the furs, letting himself doze for a little bit longer. After half an hour or so the found himself stretching out- sitting up slowly and rubbing his eyes, letting a long yawn part his lips. Stretching lazily he looked around, before dropping his hands and pursing his lips. "What to do" He murmured softly, making his way slowly to his feet before making himself presentable. Then he made his way out of his families hut- squinting slightly as the sun temporarily blinded him.

His gaze wandered slowly to the figure of Greg, spotting the male chopping wood with a few other men, His gaze then moved to the small group of girls that had gathered and were quite obviously watching Greg as he worked. "Yup...fan girls" He mused- a small smile tugging at his lips as he let his gaze wander for another moment, before making his way towards Greg. "How's work~?" He chimed, lifting his hands to lace his fingers behind his head- "If you aren't enjoying yourself, they certainly are" He added, tilting his head slightly to indicate he was talking about the ladies. Which simply earned him a quick gasp, followed by giggles. Apparently me pointing them out was funny. Sorrel just raised a brow quizzically, glancing at the girls from the corner of his eye, before looking at Greg again, simply shrugging and dropping his hands to his sides once more.
