Nova gave a small grin when Isaac agreed, dirty thoughts in response to him finishing his food floated in his head. He calmly waiting watching Isaac eat, before deeming that he'd had enough. " Let's go don't want your head to hurt more." Nova said as he dragged Isaac away by the hand back to hi cabin. Nova didn't normally make such obvious advances but something drew him towards him. Once they got to his cabin Nova.... *Well all I can say is that Isaac is getting some meds lol.*

☩ Alice Hatter ☩ T H E - R E D - S Q U A D...It's a fact of life If you make one wrong move with a gun to your head You better walk the line or be left for dead... At Alice's question, Nova came up. His obvious invitation was more than enough to make a slight flush come to her cheeks. Still, she relaxed. For all his weird ways, Nova was the type of guy who was good for whatever was wrong with Isaac. She nodded in return to Isaac's thanks at her concern and watched the odd couple walk away with a small smile. Nova had been the only survivor when her squad mates had been killed; she didn't know how or why it happened, but she had never managed to bear an ill grudge towards him. Not a moment later, Alexius disappeared, and Alice saw him talking to a familiar girl. Perhaps another one of her new squad members?
The crowd around them slowly diminished as the new recruits slowly started to let go and enjoy themselves. Deciding it was time to take her leave, Alice stood and bid Alex, Artemis and Saffron good night. When she eventually got back to her cold room, sleep had not gotten a hold of her yet. Changing into sleeping clothes and curling up on her bed to stare outside the small window, Alice spent the next hour writing one of her many letters to her family. Like always, she never tried to worry them by mentioning any of her future missions. Instead she took the time to describe each of her new squad members that she had met. Even if they did die, at least some people other than their own families would know that they had existed. She fell asleep in the middle of her third page, sprawled out across her lonely bed....Let the end of the world come tumbling down I'll be the last man standing on the ground As long as blood rushes through my veins I'm still alive... ѕєι∂ ιня ∂αѕ єѕѕєи? Isaac had just managed to finish his food and beer before he felt himself being dragged by the hand after Nova. Looking over his shoulder, he called back a quick goodbye to his captain and the others before turning back to his squad mate. Chuckling he squeezed Nova's hand. "Slow down. You're so impatient Nova. We have plenty of time to enjoy ourselves," he said, a faint blush making its way onto his face. "I mean, we have all night tonight and all day tomorrow." His blush deepened even more after this statement. He just couldn't stop his mouth long enough to think through what he said. By the time Isaac finished embarrassing himself, the two men had arrived at Nova's cabin. He was no virgin, but that didn't stop him from stumbling over his words. "So. . .medicine. . ."иєιи, ωιя ѕιи∂ ∂єя נägєя! OoC: Poor, slightly innocent Isaac. xP

Alexius ~ Medan Red Squad 106th Trainee "Ugh..." Alexius sat up in his bed, clenching his eyes shut to keep any light from them that was shining through the windows. He felt a skittering from his chest and a thump on his lap as he moved up.... Oh boy, now he had to choose between opening his eyes, which may result in seeing some of that damned light that would make his pounding head hurt even more... or not having his curiosity sated in seeing what exactly it was that just fell onto his lap from his chest. He sighed softly, quickly deciding that if he didn't see, he'd probably regret it. Either option didn't seem too great... He was curious now. Opening his eyes just a bit, he looked down... And a squirrel looked back up. ".... Wha...." The squirrel seemed to be nibbling on something, which drew his eyes to elsewhere on his person. He had bits of nuts sprinkled all over him! The squirrel was eating it right off of him! He immediately moved and stood up, sending the squirrel jumping off of him and running a little bit away from him, but staying in the general area. As soon as he stood, he quickly regretted it. His head pounded, and he stood infront of a window, and the sun shone in directly at him. "Damnit!" He let out, quickly brushing himself off and stumbling a bit away from the window holding his head. "Who's idea was it to sprinkle nuts all over me!?" One of the other recruits who was slightly awake merely raised his head and looked over. "... Yer own idea..." Alexius rubbed his head and covered his eyes. "Damnit... Remind me never to go through with some of that crap again..." He felt something solid hit him in the side and another voice shout "Shutup! i'm tryin'a sleep!" Alexius peeked down at what'd hit him... That hurt! Seeing that it was a shoe, he did something else really dumb... He wandered outside.
"Oh god, I immediately regret my decision!" He said aloud to himself, pressing his palms over his eyes. Then he looked down and realized that in his drunken stupor he'd forgot to re-dress himself. "Ah crap..." Wandering back inside the bunkhouse, he moved to retrieve his uniform, dressing himself up in his pants, boots, shirt and and pulling on the cloak of the Survey Legion... Now venturing outside again, he pulled the cloak up to act as a hood over his head, shading the sun from his eyes as best he could while walking around outside. ".... I hate hangovers..." He made his way to a wooded area for some privacy for the moment...
After taking care of business, he had yet to decide what he wanted to do. He certainly couldn't go anywhere, and he was pretty sure he'd get punished for using his maneuver gear and using up the gas he currently had it loaded up with.... Not that he could with the condition he was in. As much as it depressed him, he'd rather not be seen in this condition by the ladies, so finding any and hitting on them was also not too preferable. Instead he decided to wander back to the hall where all the food and stuff was the previous night, to see if people were still there or if anyone was even awake and already there at this time... Though he doubted it. [OoC: x.x Was waiting for someone else to post, but I guess I'll just go ahead and post to see if everyone else is going to even continue.]

Alex yawned silently as he walked outside in the cold brisk air. Every step caused the grass to crunch breaking the ice cystals. He glanced around at the fog cursing it slightly, it was good and bad. Good because it hid them, bad because it hid the titans. But the thick clouds blocking the sun giving the day a dreary grey appearance was nice. Not all but some titans didn't function well without the sun shining brightly overhead. Some were more sluggish others didn't move at all. But many were fine and still massacred his squads. Taking a deep breath and slowly blowing it out he watching the vapors come out of his mouth a smile creeping onto his face. Such a small thing could make him smile. Going over to his horse he patted her neck murmuring a quiet good morning. He was surprised to find the horses fed already, but not to surprised Saffron probably did it she loved the horses. Glancing through the stall he noticed Saffrons horse was indeed out already. Sliding the blanket off his house he throw the saddle on securing it in place before leading him outside. He found a nice patch of frosty grass and let his horse munch on it while he waited for the others to arrive. "

They seemed to not like the construction very much which was going on every night, they desperately needed water for the cities. She turned around near the town they had to go through to leave through the east gate. As she headed back she noticed Alex who was up and ready to go. Rivaess had woken up relatively early, having found plenty of time to sleep over the past two days. The celebrations were done, and they would soon make their move to the outer walls. Having dressed in her uniform, she made a quick trip to the mess hall to grab a cup of coffee. The pleasant aroma, the warmth, and the bitterness of the beverage was something that she grew fond of over the time she spent training for the Scouting Legion. She would make sure to drink no more than one cup a day, and it usually calmed her down on the toughest of days.
As she sipped the remaining contents of her cup, she noticed that the squad leaders were starting to gather, probably preparing to call everyone to set out. As her eyes scanned the area, she took note of a particular figure loitering around nearby. She smiled softly to herself as she grabbed another cup of coffee and trotted over to where they were. Rivaess approached the figure quietly, before she gently tapped their shoulder to catch hold of their attention without startling them,
"You look like you might need this,"She said softly as she held out the cup of coffee to a tired, and perhaps hung-over Alexius. He had been celebrating with the other members of the Scouting Legion over the past two days, but while she kept her distance, she noticed that something had seemed to bother him since the night before. The scarlet-haired girl had begun to wonder if it was because of her behavior since the start of the celebratory activities, but she couldn't be too sure.
But in the end, the girl couldn't help but giggle softly to herself as she recalled an event a bit similar to the current situation before her from a few nights ago. Though, the rolls were switched this time; while Alexius had offered her alcohol, she offered him coffee; While he approached her at night, she approached him a little after dawn. Composing herself once more, she drew a hand upward, letting her fingers fumble within the folds of her knitted scarf.

'It must be cloudy today. That's unfortunate.'
The young soldier was up early in the morning, still laying underneath the covers of her small bed. Bisera turned away from the window, dreading the day already. Honestly, she didn't feel like scouting today. If only the titans would disappear, or decide to become vegetarians or something. Bisera chuckled softly. How ridiculous. Nothing could satiate the destructive nature of a titan. She was well aware of this. Narrowly missing the bed post above her, Bisera climbed out of bed, letting her bare feet touch the cold, wooden floor. She flinched at the touch. The warm-blooded girl was still having a hard time getting used to the chilly weather.
After a shower and change of clothes, Bisera made her way to the mess hall, which the lead captain ordered them to meet up at to be separated in their groups. Bisera walked into the mess hall, simultaneously tying her hair back into a bun. She didn't want to risk getting scalped while using the 3D maneuver gear. Bisera had seen it happen before: it wasn't a pretty sight. Bisera smiled softly at the thought. Her bright, red blood spilling down her face. Her pain was beautiful...
Bisera snapped out of her stupor when she was standing before several coffee mugs and breakfast pastries. Bisera took a bagel, munching on it softly as she walked to one of the walls closest to her, leaning against it. In silence, she observed the others. Some appeared sleepy, agitated, and even happy, but Bisera knew one thing that each fresh face hid. Fear. Today would be their first mission. It would be foolish not to have some form of anxiety.

☩ Alice Hatter ☩ T H E - R E D - S Q U A D...It's a fact of life If you make one wrong move with a gun to your head You better walk the line or be left for dead... Alice yawned and stretched as she left her room. Her freshly laundered uniform was on, the empty straps a reminder of what was coming later. The past two days had been a welcome lull in a normally chaotic life. The new recruits had been given the chance to enjoy what time they may or may not have left; it helped stop them from breaking down later during the mission over what they could have done. As always, Alice had been lax in her free time - writing letters, sketching random scenes of views from different parts of the headquarters. There had even been a few moments where she had simply laid down on a flat surface to stare up at the sky. Simple moments.
Even the fogginess of the day couldn't bring her down. Any well-seasoned corps member knew that a dim day gave them a better chance against the titans. Alice delivered her latest letter to the corps office, knowing they would automatically send it out to her family for her, then headed towards the stables. Not to her surprise, Alex and Saffron were already there sorting out their horses. Pulling her cloak tighter around her to keep out the chill in the air, Alice went to her horse, a pretty roan with a fiery temper. After petting her down, and fixing the saddle and bit on her, Alice led her out to graze a bit besides Alex and Saffron. "Morning, Saffron. Alex."...Let the end of the world come tumbling down I'll be the last man standing on the ground As long as blood rushes through my veins I'm still alive... Alexius ~ Medan Red Squad 106th Trainee The past couple of days were pretty nice. He was certainly making the most of it. It's not like he made the decision to join the survey corps lightly, and he did know the risks and the life expectancy. He wasn't some idiot, though some of the things he did might have been questionable... The nights were pretty much the same, and the morning this time was a little different. Instead of sprinkling nuts all over himself, he'd actually just set a bowl of nuts beside himself, and that squirrel had, instead of scampering over him, decided to eat beside him. This time, he woke up having slept in a strange position. As he got up to stand, he found out that his left leg was completely asleep, and stumbled and fell to the ground before cursing and standing up after spending a good amount of time, rubbing his leg which hurt like hell as it woke up.
Again, he'd moved to the mess hall, again he was hung over. Alexius had indeed made the most of those nights. He'd cram as much living as he could into those nights if it was the last thing he did. He tried to work up the nerve to approach Rivaess and actually officially state his feelings out loud in a more serious manner.... But he never did. And when he failed to do so, he just drank some more. That kind of repeated situation led to right now. Hung over, and once again in the mess hall. He was actually pretty glad nobody pranked him by throwing parts of his clothes over anywhere. It was kinda COLD! Rubbing his hands together, then bringing them up to his mouth, he huffed a breath of warm air into them... Then proceeded to rub his aching head.
Feeling a tap on his shoulder, he turned and looked at who it was kind of sleepily. "Wuh...?" He let out as he turned, then straightened himself up a little and raising his brows in actual surprise. "Oh... um" He looked to the coffee that was offered to him, then smiled to her as he'd accept it. "I'm most grateful... I could indeed use this." He let out, a smile quickly spreading across his face... He'd quickly bring the coffee up and take a little gulp from the cup. Never really being much of a coffee person, his expression changed slightly due to the bitter taste. He was more into sweet things. Coffee was definitely not his first choice for a morning drink. However, she was right... He did kind of need it in this current situation. Fixing his expression quickly enough after swallowing down the gulp, he widened his smile. "You enjoy yesterday as much as you could, Rivaess?" He asked, deciding that he'd work up to telling her how he felt. He could end up dying today. On the first day of the first mission, even. It would be better to get it off his chest now. If he could work up the nerve enough and be serious with her for a moment. Now if only he could turn the conversation more in that direction... and if the damn headache would go away sooner, rather than later! [OoC: house sitting prevented me from posting.]

After Alexius had accepted the hot beverage she had offered, she returned her hands underneath her cape, rubbing them not only for warmth, but out of nervousness as well. This day would be the first time she would be going out into Titan-infested areas outside of the walls. Without a doubt there they would have to fight real Titans, and worse yet, she knew that lots of lives would be claimed. However, Rivaess was very informed on how the Titan's worked, such as their regenerative properties, their variations in speed, size, and behaviors, and their weak spot; all of which she had learned in her studies.
Though she benefited from knowledge, she lacked a bit in combat. She remembered all too well whenever she were to spar, she could rarely ever defeat her partner. It was even more embarrassing when she would find herself running away from her partner, but there were times people simply took pity in her. She didn't like it at all, but her body would unconsciously put her safety above other things, if that's what anyone wanted to call it. It was cowardly, her instructor often said. And in retaliation, she would train by herself during late nights and early mornings, and the results were starting to pay off. Or so she hoped.
Rubbing her arms, Rivaess averted her gaze from her squad-mate when he'd ask her about how the day before was for her. She hesitated, remembering how even the day before she had avoided the company of the other Red Squad members, choosing to lay around in bed, leaving herself to her own thoughts. But pushing her negative thoughts away, she tried to muster a smile, for Alexius' sake,
"I... I guess so. I'm not too thrilled to be standing out here like this though," A part of her was referring to the chilly air and the blanket of fog around them, but she was mostly referring to the fact that they were gathering for their important mission. "H-How have you been these past few days? I'd want to think that you're enjoying yourself, but you've been drinking an awful lot."

Alexius ~ Medan Red Squad 106th Trainee Alexius watched her rub her arms under her cloak. Yes sir, it sure was cold. He could deal with it, but it's not like it was pleasant. He looked down to the drink again. The day ahead of them would definitely be rough. Horseback riding, hard travel... And then the titans. Those huge lumbering, murderous idiots. He had mixed feelings about them. He didn't really want to go rushing off into danger against them... But at the same time, he did want bloody vengeance against them. The dish best served cold, and boy was that dish waiting to be served for a long, long while now. And then these factors about the women were figured in... He knew there was nothing he could do to talk them out of their duty, since everyone here wanted to be here. The one before him gave him more cause for concern than the others, however...
Looking up again to see her looking elsewhere, and her hesitation, his own look grew slightly concerned... For a moment. Her smile brightened him up again visibly, even if mostly on the outside. He'd rather not cause her more stress. "... Y-yeah..." He started. "It is quite cold..." His own voice sounded a little uncertain for a moment. Then as she asked her own question to him, he nodded. "Ah... Well... I admit I have been getting quite drunk..." He let out, blushing slightly and rubbing the back of his head with one hand and smiling. "After today though, I think I may be done with it... At least so heavily." Head still pounding, he rubbed his hand through his hair, messing it up slightly as he did so before rubbing his hair back again. Setting his hand to his side, he looked back to her "Other than that, I must admit... I..." He seemed hesitant for a moment. Damnit, don't lose your nerve! We'll be fighting titans later, you HAVE to say something! He mentally kicked himself. His expression became a bit serious as he looked back down to the coffee. "... Well I've been rather missing... um... You." He stared for a moment to the coffee, taking a sip of it before looking back up to her face. "I... um.... I know I'm not the easiest guy to take seriously and all, what with how I act in general... But I havta confess..." His eyes started down to the coffee cup for a moment. Don't look away from her, idiot! He mentally yelled at himself and quickly fixed his gaze back up to her face. Damnit, how do I word this? I've usually got some words to say how a woman looks and all, but how do I say this in particular? He was mentally kicking himself. He should have had something ready to say. Just say something, the pause is too awkward. "Well... You're beautiful, and smart... And attractive in pretty much every way. I guess what I'm asking is, when we make it back from the mission... Would ya like to..." He paused for a moment. How would dating work in the Survey Legion anyway? Everyone eats together, and there's little real down time... Guess I'll just have to ask directly then. He thought to himself. "Go on a date...?"
He realized he wasn't looking his best. Hell, he was still hung over. Still, there wasn't really time to wait to ask. They could be told to move out for the mission any time now, really, and then he wouldn't get the chance to say it... And then he'd kick himself all day until he saw her next, if he made it back alive. Regardless of her response, he could feel better now that he asked. Reality seeming to hit him, he shivered a little in the cold, moving an arm up to rub at his other one beneath the cloak just a little, lifting the coffee up to sip at it. Regardless of the bitter taste of the coffee, which he disliked, he was thankful for the warmth of it... Having said what he said, he waited rather anxiously. Seconds seemed to last forever. Inhaling seemed to take a bit more effort, and he didn't catch that he was holding his breath. He wondered why it was harder to do this than to flirt with girls like he had in the past, and he also wondered how much longer they had until the captains began with explaining their mission and assigning squads their duties... He was rather hoping it wouldn't interrupt their current conversation. [OoC: ]

Rivaess remained patient as Alexius had began to fumble with his words. With his struggle to say the right words, it was starting to dawn to her what he was trying to get at. She knew that he certainly liked to hit on girls, and he could be quite the chatterbox when he wanted to be, but whenever he was around her, his actions would be calmer as if not to alarm her. At first she thought he was just being nice, because of how sensitive she was, but she was starting to figure it was probably more than that.
He blurted out compliments towards her, and there was a growing warmth on her face, but Rivaess couldn't tell if it was her body's attempt at keeping warm or if she was actually embarrassed. But when his request finally came out of his mouth, the scarlet-haired girl froze, bringing her gaze towards the ground. Sure, she was close to very few of the 106th trainee squad members, Alexius included, but she had avoided as much contact with others as she could in the past two days for a reason. The thought of becoming too attached, and then possibly losing them in the next few hours made it seem like her fears were coming true.
Certainly, Alexius was a nice young man, much more courageous than the bespectacled dame, and if circumstances were more... normal, she probably wouldn't see a need to hesitate. She could feel a slight stinging sensation around her eyes, and her vision blurred slightly as they were nearly brimming with tears. She was scared of losing those that were close to her, and her feelings began to jumble around in her head she would almost stagger out of dizziness.
Wrapping a hand around her wrist that she held close to her chest underneath her cloak, as if to shield her trembling heart, she mustered up the courage to look up at her squad-mate.
"I-I... um, it's just--" And then it was Rivaess' turn to stutter. What could she say? She honestly didn't mind his company, but the haunting thought of losing her close friend was tearing her apart. Though her eyes still stung, she tried to her best to give him her most sincere smile, "It's really hard to agree... B-But not because I don't like you or anything-- I think you're a wonderful person, it's just... Either of us could die today. A-And I don't want to have to b-bear the burden of losing someone... again."
She let her fingers twirl her hair between them as she took a deep breath to calm herself the best she could before continuing,
"What I'm trying to say is-- I-If we make it, I guess it's okay... It's just-- if I end up changing my mind during all of this, I hope you won't be offended."

Alexius ~ Medan Red Squad 106th Trainee Alexius watched her expression. He was a bit slow to pick up on it as he was speaking... But he did pick up on it. He raised his brows as she started to blush... And he thought he saw a bit of the beginnings for tears around her eyes. Was he that terrible? Did he say something wrong? Damnit, I musta ******** it up! He thought to himself as he looked genuinely concerned toward her. Sure, he was feeling a bit better already from having said what he needed to say, but it was short lived as new feelings of anxiousness and worry filled him. The last thing he really wanted was to hurt her. He opened his mouth to speak to her, but then stopped. He didn't want to interrupt her.
After the moment she'd take to collect herself, she would finally respond. He slowly let out the breath he finally noticed he was holding, lifting his coffee cup to his lips and sipping lightly from it at her first set of words. He supposed he should have seen this coming... As he lowered his cup, he heard her finish speaking, and raised his eyes up to her face, actually looking slightly surprised for a moment at her words. Well... That's certainly better than a rejection...! He thought, and a smile crossed his face. Offering a nod, he turned his head to look to the side for a moment. "I understand." Moving his hand up, he rubbed the back of his head again. "Sorry.... I um..." He looked down to the cup a bit nervously. "I didn't mean to trouble you, Riv." He said, looking to her with a bit of a nervous grin. "I'll give it my best shot to make sure we don't lose our friends." With that he gave her a cheerful smile, attempting to cheer her up a bit. Turning to the side, he raised the coffee one last time and finished off the cup. "Thanks for the drink... I did need it... I wonder if we'll be able to take personal effects along at some point?" He chuckled a bit. "I'd really like ta get ahold of a Violin again..." While it was true, he would like to get ahold of another violin and play every now and then, he was also trying to make small talk, possibly distract Rivaess from the obvious stress he'd given her with his question. "... You think they'd allow that?" [OoC: All dem feelz.]
