 " Well actually. It's only missing a few parts. It will take about 2 hours. And the parts that is is missing, I actually have spares. You're in luck." He took out a screwdriver and began to open the frame of the GEAR.

  "Only about two hours?" Yuki asked with a smile "Great, I'll let you get to work on it then. I guess I'll get started on dinner or something" Yuki mumbled to herself before leaving the room again. It'd been a while sense she bothered with making an actual meal

He got out a couple of small tools along with a few spare GEAR parts. He began to take the old rusty GEAR apart before removing a few broken parts. He replaced them with the spare parts and began working on the frame mechanism, tightening the GEAR's launch cables. After about two hours, he finished fixing it and began to polish it while also sharpening the cables. He took a few plug-in blades from his own and placed them into the sheaths. He wiped the thin layer of sweat from his brow and bolted down the frame. " Phew. All done."

Yuki poked her head out of the kitchen and smiled at Sauren "Dinner's ready, sorry if the chicken is a bit burnt" she said before rushing to the GEAR. She picked up the device and smiled "Look at this baby, it looks so functional!" she gasped as she turned it over to examine it. She put it around her waist and almost clipped it on but it was a tad too big around. She didn't adjust it but instead just gut it down. "Great job kid, now let's got eat" she said before heading to the kitchen

Sauren got up and stretched a little bit. "Alright." He made his way into the kitchen to get a wiff of meat cooking with a slight burn. "Are you sure about this? Maybe I should have made dinner."

"Ah come on, it's a little burnt, it's not going to kill you." Yuki said before she picked up a fork and took a bit from the chicken and plopped it in her mouth. She grimaced and sat down "So I'm a little rusty. It's been years sense I cooked like this. Just live through this one dinner and you'll never have to eat my crap again" she said simply. She wouldn't let Sauren cook, he already fixed her GEAR for her.

Sauren began to gain a slightly red hue in his cheeks as he looked away. "You say that you haven't cooked in a while...So why cook now? And I know it's not just because I fixed the GEAR. Anyone could have fixed it with the right tools and parts." He scratched the back of his head, as he did whenever he felt even the slightest embarrassment. "I-I mean, don't get me wrong. I am truly flattered that you offered to cook, it's just..." He chuckled a bit and gave a nervous smile. "I guess i'm overthinking this too much, aren't I?"

"Probably." Yuki said with a shrug. Over thinking tended to happen a lot around Yuki. She never really did stuff for reasons. "Sure anyone could have fixed that GEAR, but not everyone crash lands in my backyard, stays at my house, and goes with me to the beach when they should be in the hospital. That's only happened to me like...twice before" she said with a little joke added at the end "and besides, you and me share the same goal, kill those collosi so they don't go about killing everything else...and what was up with that colossal that dropped you? The...'talky' one "

He sighed and looked down before his eyes widened at the mentioning of the strange Colossal. He tensed up a bit. "Well...When it talked to me....I sort of kinda....understood what it was saying....but I never heard one talk before, let alone get grabbed by one yet i'm not dead. But....I would rather not talk about it...If you mind." He looked away as he said this, never making eye contact with her.

"Darn, I wanted to hear about it. But ah well, if it makes you uncomfortable I'll stop" Yuki said as she leaned back in her chair and cracked open another beer. "Well it's about time to go to bed. We've got an early start tomorrow" she said before standing up "The couch is all yours"

Sauren nodded to her before smiling a bit. "Thank you. It's always nice to see hospitality in an age of despair." He stood up and walking over to the couch. He looked down at the couch and thought about all the events today before picking up his GEAR and strapping it on, making sure it was secured.

The next morning Yuki was ready to go with a backpack full of random junk she thought she would need throughout the day. "You ready to go Sauren?" she asked as she grabbed a couple extra pens

He gave a soft sigh before checking his GEAR. He strapped it on and looked back at her. " Yeah. I'm ready. I'm just scouting ahead, right?" He went into the backyard and rounded two horses to ride until they got to an area where they could properly use their GEAR.

"Yep." Yuki said as she strapped on the GEAR and jumped on her horse "Let's head out" she said as she snapped the reigns of the house and it galloped off -Yuki to Wall Maria-
