The walking sign went green. Lucille waved goodbye to Mirabel and hurried along the cross walk trying not to run into anyone. It was a busy street after all.
She successfully crossed the street, dodged every person in her way, and walked towards the hotdog stand. "Man, i'm starving. Been shopping all day. One extra chilly hotdog please" she said, fishing for her wallet in her bag, as the vendor prepared her order. "Thank you" she said, as she accepted the hotdog in one hand and paid for it with the other.
With a delighted smile on her face, she took the first bite into the warm spicy treat. A little bit of mustard and ketchup got onto her face. She wanted to wipe it off and walked towards the polished glass of a random store. Leaning close to the glass, she used the back of her right hand to wipe the sauce off of her face. That's when she noticed a perculiar purple fella staring at himself in the reflection beside her. She didn't want to be rude talking with her mouth full so she turned to face him, tapped his shoulder with her left hand, and took another bite out of her hotdog wondering if he would turn around.
