"It was-" he begins, eyes casting out to sea, thinking back to his childhood, but he doesn't finish because she is dancing away, and finds himself chasing after. He is more surefooted in the sand than she, but lets her lead him for a time.

"There are others here," he calls, as he chases, "A whole tribe of us."

For a brief moment, he seemed to be faraway, but she blinked, and he was back again. What was his childhood like? She stored that little question away for a more appropiate time.

"A tribe?" The notion intrigued her. She couldn't imagine living with a group of others, day in and day out. She had customers and friends, yes, but constant companionship?

She moved forward again, her eyes pouring over him -- memorising. "...May I meet them? Your tribe?"
