╔═════════════════════════════╗ Jasper "Annul" Evergreen_______ ╚═════════════════════════════╝
Jasper was currently in the designated kitchen of the warehouse cooking pancakes for the rest of his little band of misfits. He was always the first one up and the last to go to sleep leaving some of his little group of family to ask him if he ever slept. Naturally he just brushed off their questions with a smile and laugh. Truth was he rarely slept and when he did it was only for an hour or two. Being locked up so long made sleeping a rare occasion and truthfully he had learned years ago to function normally with little to no sleep with no visible or discernible effect on his body. He chalked it up to his powers. Maybe it somehow nullified his need for sleep or perhaps he was just imagining all of this. The possibilities were near endless really. Granted he knew this was all real.
Flipping a pancake his ears picked up the sound of someone walking down the stairs and placed the pancake on a plate pushing it behind him towards the approaching Outsider. "Morning Kimmy." He gave no indication to how he knew who it was or anything of the sort. Some mystery was good. Putting another pancake on to cook he turned towards her with a bright and friendly smile he reserved for all the Outsiders. "Any big plans today?" The man had never bothered to ask where the woman worked as she deserved to have her own privacy and if she wanted him to know she would tell him. Jasper himself occasionally did odd jobs for people to earn a little extra cash for things the others might need and just not be able to afford. After voicing his question he turned back towards the pancake with his sleeves rolled up to avoid getting them in the pancakes. "Did you sleep well?" It was a fair question and was just him making polite conversation.

Can't Nobody, Can't Nobody
Spike Hold us down!
Kim almost stumbled on the stairs as she came down groggily, rubbing her eyes. Her hair still a visual mess. Kim normally didn't fix herself up just to come downstairs. This was her family after all, like they cared how she looked. Kim looked at Jasper confused as he called out her name without even guessing. So he was awake. Of course he was awake. He was always awake. Kim couldn't even recall a time that she actually saw him sleep. "Its creepy how your able to tell who I am without looking... Do I shuffle or something?" she asked as she looked down at her feet. She sighed and walked up to the table and to the place that he had set out for her with pancakes. A plate full.
Kim pulled out the chair and sat down looking at the plate as he continued to cook. She sighed and put her cheek into her palm as she leaned her elbow on the table. "Not unless work calls, coming up with something to do last minute, I do hate it when they do that..." She informed him. She knew that Jasper didn't know where she worked. Kim like it that way. She thought that Jasper would have a heart attack if he saw where he worked. All he needed to know was that she made good money and where she worked wasn't really a danger to her life and that's all he needed to know.
Kim smirked when he asked if she slept well. She sat up in her chair. "Oh yes Daddy, I did," She teased him, sticking her tongue out at him like a child. Kim would tease him every chance she got, it was part of her lovely charm. Kim turned her attention to the pancakes again and picked up the syrup from the center of the table and half way drowned the pancakes in the syrup. She loved her pancakes sweet and syrupy.

╔═════════════════════════════╗ Jasper "Annul" Evergreen_______ ╚═════════════════════════════╝
Jasper smiled politely at Kim as the young woman mentioned it being creepy how he knew it was her without looking at her. As she posed her innocent little question the older man gave a lighthearted chuckle and shrugged. There were some things he just would never reveal to his family. "You will never know it seems. Maybe I secretly developed Telepathy and am reading your every thought. Or, maybe you just have a habit of dragging your feet when you walk. Or, it was all just one really lucky guess. Use whichever explanation makes you feel better." Finishing with a smile playing at his lips the man turned back to the pancakes.
Listening as Kim explained that she had no big plans currently today the man nodded. It was understandable really. While Jasper didn't know where she worked or even really want to know, he had a feeling it was somewhere he wouldn't approve considering she didn't offer the information up freely, her work seemed to not be an every day thing. "Maybe we need to all go for a picnic or something. That is depending on how many people are free today. I am sure we could all use a little relaxation time." After posing the suggestion he put another pancake on a plate and put it in another spot for the next person that awoke. If they all woke up late they would just have to deal with cold pancakes.
Kim called him Daddy and Jasper gave another lighthearted chuckle. The young woman proved amusing more often than not it seemed. The tongue being stuck out further added to her image of being a child. Giving her a look that was both amused and feigned authority he started another pancake. "Now now child, let's not get sassy already so early. Or I won't take you out for ice cream later." Finishing Jasper mentally decided that the woman would eventually be the end of him via heart attack. Till then he would enjoy his current existence. It wasn't like he would let himself die before seeing them all move on to normal lives anyway. That was his dream after all. They all certainly deserved it.

Can't Nobody, Can't Nobody
Spike Hold us down!
Kim looked at Jasper with a sweet expression. She had to admit that Jasper had far more patience for her then anyone else. Then again, he knew her far better then anyone else. He knew that poor Kim had knew the very scientist that she was cloned from and she was very close to the woman. But then she was labeled too dangerous for society because of her powers and she was never allowed to see the scientist ever again. Leaving little Kim all alone in a glass room. Made of special glass that her gases couldn't harm.
Kim put a piece of pancake on her fork and popped it into her mouth. She smiled as the syrup and pancake graced her taste buds. Kim looked over at Jasper and sighed. "A picnic, really Jasper? What era do you think this is?" she voiced her opinion with a unamused tone. Kim messed with her already messy wavey brown hair in thought. "We should totally go to a hot rock concert," She suggested, that was Kim for you. Kim was not your normal lets wear pretty dresses and talk politely to people kind of girl. She didn't have the best manners but she was still a good person to be around once you got use to her raw edges.
Kim plopped another piece of pancake into her mouth. "Mmmm, this is so good," She spoke with her mouth a little full. Okay, so maybe she didn't have the best manners in the world either.

Jasper smiled and shrugged as the woman seemed to think a picnic was outdated. He just really wanted to spend time with them all like a normal family might. apparently his age was beginning to show though if she thought it lame. That or times have changed more than he realized which was another good possibility. "I think a picnic sounds nice, relaxing, and above all else normal. I suppose it doesn't have to be a picnic though. There are of course other things we could pursue." Another shrug followed his statement and Jasper flipped the pancake as Kim put her own opinion in. An exasperated sigh would easily show his thoughts on a rock concert.
"Too loud and crowded for my tastes." Rock music was definitely not his thing. Jasper preferred a nice quiet and soothing piano to the loud and at times crude music that was rock and all it's brethren. If the others wanted it however, he would suffer through it for them. Sometimes he lamented that Kim was not your everyday average girl that liked rainbows, unicorns, and everything in between. "It would be you to suggest such a place though. I swear you suggest these things just because you want to send me to an early grave." Of course he was joking and Kim knew it.
At the mention of the pancake being good he smiled and nodded. "I have had a lot of practice to make sure it is good after all. The notion of it being good though is welcome and always nice to hear." A look up towards the clock told Jasper that others should be down soon. The day would be underway before anybody knew what hit them. Of course Jasper had no plans to attend the evening event. Not like they were invited anyway.

She looked forward and ran toward Kim, turning into water and slamming through the table, solidifying as she hit Kim and shouting "Kimmy!" as the chair toppled over, causing the forks to hit the ground. Cherie, looked at the piece of pancakes on the ground and picked it up, popping it into her mouth and looking back at Jasper and giving him the thumbs up. "Good s**t old man!" She looked at it for a moment and stood up, walking over to the TV and checking the plug. "TVs broke." She noticed that the dvd player showed no signs of life either. "Powers out." She pulled out her phone and loaded the local news. She scanned it and added, "City wide outage too." She read into it. "Apparently prison security broke down and some dudes got out, holding a news crew hostage." She sounded monotone and generally apathetic towards the hostage situation. Can't Nobody, Can't Nobody
Spike Hold us down!
Kim looked at Jasper with a bored expression as he said that he thought that a panic was a nice idea. No surprise there coming from old and rusty. She then sighed and leaned against the table as he said that a rock concert was too loud. "Too loud? That's the point grandpa," she said with deep sarcaism as she leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes. Half listening to the rest of what Jasper went on about. It was nice this morning, yeah sure it was pretty hot outside but she didn't mind it too much. It was nice to be free.
Kim squealed as she was tackled to the floor by some unseen force. She had not been expecting to be tackled. Perhaps if she had paid more attention she would have seen that Cherie had joined their group for breakfast. Kim opened her eyes from the floor and stared up at Cherie. "Ouch... Warning would've been nice," She commented then just laid there. She didn't want to get up. She felt how cool the floor was, it was very nice. It wasn't the nicest thing to land on but it was indeed nice to lay on.
Kim looked over at Cherie as she became a little reporter for them. There was trouble apparently. She blinked a few times and then got up off the floor quickly. It sounded exciting, something she wanted to deal with. She wanted to play hero. Before those heros got even a chance to get there. She looked over at Cherie. "Wait!! Hold the phone!! Sound the bat signal!! Its time for heros! Oh! I have the perfect outfit!! What do you say Cherie? Want to be my side kick?!" As Kim thought about what she said, she realized that what she said may not have made much sense. It had sounded so much better in her head.
