Sunshine wasted no time when she got to the stables, saddling Walker with practiced ease as the animal stood completely still. She then put the bridle on and fastened the straps. Taking out the scarf that she had brought with her, she wrapped it around her nose and mouth, to prevent the sand and grit from entering them. She wished that she had a pair of sunglasses to shield her eyes, but knew that she had made due without before and could surely do it now as well.

While she was still in the stall with the large and heavily armored horse, she swung herself onto the saddle and cantered out of the barn and towards the West Ridge.

Before she got to the stables, Tabitha saw Sunshine riding out on her horse. That meant at least one team member was ahead of her in getting to Thanatos. Tabitha wasn't necessarily concerned with who got there when so long as they were all on time. The sniper still had time to spare, but she wouldn't waste it.

Walking with quick purpose, Tabitha made her way into the stables and let herself into Dawn's stall. The palomino mare nosed her jacket affectionately as Tabitha passed her to grab her tack. It took a few minutes, but with a loving pat on the palomino’s flank, horse and rider were ready to go. Tabitha didn't bother to lead Dawn out of the stall before mounting into the saddle, although she did take a moment to make sure her green sun goggles were set securely over her eyes. With a cluck of Tabitha's tongue, Dawn moved forward out of the stall and out of the stables. With another cluck, the mare was cantering towards the West Ridge. It wouldn't do to waste any of Dawn's energy by galloping just now. They still had time.

Kayla walked to the stall in which she placed Black Jack the night before. , “Good morning old boy. How do you like your new accommodations?” He gave a snort, his way of saying it will do. Giving him a quick brushing, she saddled him with her usual speed. Kayla and Black Jack had both seen their share of speedy getaways, so saddling up had become an easy task. She placed the food pack safely in one of the saddlebags and opened the stall door. Grabbing his reins, she put her left foot in the stirrup, and then hoisted her right leg up and over the saddle, placing her right foot in the other stirrup.

Figuring she had time to take it slow, she had Black Jack trot out of the barn, and with no real direction except for the fact that the place she was supposed to be headed to was called the West Ridge, she headed towards the edge of the western part of town.
