Selia smirked, turning to face him, blocking the stairs were he was walking. "Whatever makes you most comfortable. I wouldn't want to be a rude hostess." Her voice was closer to a purr than anything else, her eyes narrowing slightly and staying locked on Sebastian's. She was right. Once she looked, Selia could feel her stomach drop in the best of ways. His eyes were mesmerizing to her, the deep green so calming and cool. She couldn't look away if she tried.
Valerie just looked at Boothe, unsure of what to say. After about a minute of silence, she nodded. "What we should do isn't always the right choice, Boothe. I will be there tomorrow, fighting like the rest of you." She turned, closing the door behind her. "Get some sleep." Valerie said just before the door clicked into place. Her skin was clammy now, vomit threatening to rise. There was an open room a few doors up. She took it, using the bathroom inside to throw up and rinse her mouth. One good thing about the palace was its showers, the water heated by fires below the palace itself. Valerie stripped down and showered, then crawled into the bed centered in the room, covering her body with the furs and linens provided.

Sebastian's smile widened. "Lead me, princess." he purred right back, taking her small hand in his, taking a step up to where he was just one step below her. She stood at the top but his eyes still went an inch or two above hers, but he gazed down in them.
Boothe smacked his lips drunkenly. When she closed the door, he smiled, still holding the pipe between his lips. "Thatta girl." Boothe leaned back into his chair and sucked at the pipe.

Selia smiled widely, stepping back after he stepped up. She led him to her old room, smaller than the others. Her bed was covered in darker furs and linens, all soft from being used for years. Selia turned back to Sebastian, grinning devilishly.

Sebastian entered the room and stopped a few feet away from Selia to look at her. He crossed his arms at the bottoms of his shirt to remove it. He revealed his sculpted torso and threw the shirt to the side. He easily slid off his shoes and slowly approached her. His fingertips traced the side of her body starting at the hips, slowly going up, glancing at her over his bangs. A playful smile suddenly spread across his lips. He ran to the bed and jumped on it, landing on his back. He put his arms behind his head and motioned her over with a nod, a smirk on his face. He crossed his legs at his ankles, loving the feel of the fur blankets.

Selia bit her lip to hide a smile, and as Sebastian traced her outline, she held her breath. It was electric, his fingers making her skin tingle underneath her tunic. She removed the top shirt, revealing her slender figure and a bandeau, and took her shoes off as well. Unlike Sebastian, Selia went and sat at the end of the bed, closer to his face than his feet. Leaning down, she traced his jaw with her lips, inhaling deeply. "I hope that this room works for you." She whispered, smirking against his skin.

Sebastian smirked. He answered with a passionate kiss, gently placing his hand on the crane of her neck, his tongue searching for hers. Boy, if Marcus knew of this. It was probably a good thing Sebastian hadn't found out yet of Marcus' past with Selia. He hadn't even met the guy.

Selia smiled at first, then returned the passion Sebastian was giving. Her teeth grazed his lip, pulling gently. She was laying next to him now, having adjusted her position from leaning, one hand lightly in his hair, implying holding him close to her.

Sebastian took a moment to simply gaze at her, then he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, kissing the top of her head and stroking her long strands of hair. Just as he had imagined.

Selia smiled, closing her eyes and draping an arm over his stomach. He's so warm.. Selia's thoughts were jumbled, but for the first time in a long time, it wasn't over something terribly important. Her fingers traced imaginary patterns on Sebastian's skin as they lay together.
Marcus was down in the dining hall now, helping clean up the mess left with a few other volunteers. He gritted his teeth the whole time, now aware of who was 'replacing' him in Selia's life. There was something more to think about, but that thought kept in the front of his head. One man came from behind him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Whatever it is, son, it'll pass on." The older elf gave a reassuring squeeze, then went back to working. I guess it shows, then. Marcus continued to scrub the floor, sweat soon beading on his neck.

Selia's soft touch on his bare skin gave him goosebumps. Her body radiated heat, making sleep come much easier. Sebastian continued to stroke her hair until sleep took him.
Boothe trudged drunkenly down the spiral staircase, still holding his pipe. He entered the dining hall where the elves were still cleaning and tidying up. Finding Marcus among the crowd, he trudged over to him, looking down at him. "How you feeling, Marcus?" he asked before putting his pipe between his lips. The boy was obviously feeling bitter. Boothe knew exactly why, too.

Selia slept with ease, not dreaming as Sebastian pet her hair. It was nice, simple. Not lust, but tender. Almost loving, if you were to go so far.
Marcus stopped his work, and stood to address Boothe. "Oh, just grand. Fantastic." He kicked the bucket nearest him, sending it sailing across the dining hall. It cracked against the wall, whatever water and soap remaining in it spilling out onto the floor. The other elves paid no mind to Marcus; they all knew what was bothering him as well. Selia made no effort to hide bringing the forest elf up with her.

Boothe stood, watching the bucket go flying. He sucked at his pipe, puffing after. "You should get some rest, Marcus. Tomorrow's the big day." he reminded him. Boothe was fairly certain that the boy would stand his ground, be stubborn. Of course, Boothe should be taking his own advice.

Marcus sighed heavily, shoulders slumping. "As should you, Boothe." It was late at night, closer to dawn than dusk. Even a few hours of sleep was better than none at all. Marcus did not have a room in the castle, nor did he care to stay there. His mother had gone already, to where, he was uncertain. She was capable enough to handle herself, though. He headed towards the door, hand resting on the frame when he got there. "Just answer me this, Boothe." Marcus turned, eyes burning and glazed with tears. "Is he going to stick around after this or take off again?" Selia had told him what happened when they met Sebastian's first love, how much it hurt her. That was the first time he saw her cry. Even after the abuse from her father, Selia refused to show a negative emotion other than anger.
Valerie shot upright, looking out of the window that was across from her bed. Her dreams had haunted her. Visions of Valik tainted everything, and those who had attacked and taken him. Her breathing was jagged and a sob caught in her throat. She didn't love Valik, but he was horribly important to her.
