"Of course i did, and your welcome." Walter dropped his smile, Kade wasnt his usual perky self. Of couse this wasnt exactly the atmosphere to be oneself now was it? Hm, he hadnt taken into consideration whether or not Kade would enjoy the museum or not. Ah well they could always leave here and head somewhere else right? Ah but first... "You arent your chipper self. What for?" Walter commented gently. "Something i did? Something someone else did? Usually you love these sorts of things Kade. Whats on your mind?" Walter said as he stepped closer to Kade and gently touched the mans nose with a gloved finger. Walter smiled gently and added. "Come on then, out with it. Your not going to leave me in the dark now are you?" Walter said before he paused and raised an eyebrow to the man. "Or.. is it something i shouldnt pry into?" Walter asked Kade, now the Brit was a bit worried. Did he do something wrong? What was bothering Kade? "Or is it something you dont want to say because it would hurt?"Hmm.. either Kade would brush Walter's questions off and they could continue with the date. Or, Walter was in for a talk, something he suspected was coming up soon. He didnt see Kade alot because of work, it would only be right that the male would raise questions himself. Or find someone else who had the time for him. If it was going to be that kind of day, Walter didnt know if he wanted to deal with this right now. Then again the Brit never was one for indulging in many emotions. Heartbreak wasnt one of them.

“Walter, I.. really like you.” He stopped again, wincing slightly as he went on, “But.. I don't think this – us – is going to work. I wish it could, but.. I don't think I can handle it. Not now.” Weird how confidence could come in random times – like right then. As Kade spoke, he quickly found this to be easier to say. He just had to push through the initial fear of hurting and being hurt, remember why he was doing it, and.. maybe pretend this wasn't him doing it. Not the best method, maybe, but it worked for now and that was what Kade wanted. “I tried to please everyone once and,” He gave a small, humorless smile there, “it didn't work. I'm sorry, honey, but I have to choose and Junior is more.. sure. If this is going to make him unsure, then.. It can't be.” That was a mouthful, wasn't it? But.. Kade had been completely honest there and, however much those previous feelings of anxiety and pain came rushing back once he finished, he felt somewhat better he had said it. Now, it was just Walter's turn to say something – hopefully it wouldn't hurt very much.

Oh bloody Hell. So it was going to be one of those days wasn't it? Walter was silent for a few moments after Kade had finished his speech. Everything was sinking in with what the male had said. Despite Walter's ability to shut off his emotions this was getting to him. Damn... he really liked this one too. Feminine male, kind, nice, adorable and energetic and he dressed in drag from time to time? It's the type of man Walter wanted for a companion. But Kade's son was unsure, and why wouldn't he be? Walter wasn't exactly kid friendly. Swallowing a lump in his throat, just before he was about to speak, that's when Walter realized his heart was in the pit of his stomach. "Damn..." Walter frowned, breaking his calm look from before. The Brit dropped his gaze from Kade and sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose and closing his eyes momentarily he took a moment to gather what he wanted to say. "I thought as much ol boy." Walter said as he opened his eyes and met Kade's gaze. He closed the distance between them, raising his hand Walter cupped the side of Kade's face gently. Leaning in close the butler placed a gentle kiss on Kade's lips. " I really fancy you too Kade." Walter said as he pulled away only enough to stay close to Kade, but not releasing the male just yet. "However... i cant argue with what you've said ol chap. You do have a son to keep after, and i want you to be happy." Walter said with a smile, that was a bit forced. Releasing Kade, Walter slipped his hands into his pockets. "I also cant say i've been the best for you myself. I'm usually too involved in my work, or not involved at all. One seems to sacrifice my job security while the other sacrifices my love life. You are more deserving, Kade darling. But.. i do hope that wont stop us from still being friends?" Walter asked.
