In this thread you can recommend a book. You can recommend a short story, or a main story book. If you would like, you can suggest both. There is no limit to the amount of books you can suggest. This thread will also be the thread in which we vote. The book with the most votes is the book that we will pick for our next read. The ones that have large amounts of votes after that will be added to the next voting cycle. Ones that have no votes will be removed from the list completely. When you post, please provide the following information. Title: Author: Genre: Why you want us to read it: Link to the book:
Books that have been suggested will be linked below this text. The books that are listed will also be put into a poll in which you can vote. Once I think there is enough votes I will announce the book and change the poll. Recommend Books House of Darkness | Danger In The Shadows | Storm Front, Dresden Files, book 1. | Let Me In | Water For Elephants | Sleepless | World War Z | The Zombie Survival Guide | Matched | How to Survive A Horror Movie |

Let me In by John Ajvide Lindqvist. It's a good read. I don't know how many people have seen the movie but the movie does not, in my opinion, do the book any justice.

Title: Water for Elephants Author: Sara Gruen Genre: Contemporary Why you want us to read it: It really is just an amazing, grabbing book. This book put me in a reading slump because nothing could compare to it. And apparently they are making a movie out of it so best read it before it is raping your tv screens. Link to the book: Amazon link if that is okay

kitties_of_doom Let me In by John Ajvide Lindqvist. It's a good read. I don't know how many people have seen the movie but the movie does not, in my opinion, do the book any justice. I got it when it was first released in the states as Let The Right One In, not sure how the two versions differ, but it's a good read regardless. He's got a second book out, Handling The Undead, which is his take on zombies. Really quite a good read, I was pleased. For any interested in the now burgeoning urban fantasy genre, I recommend anything written by Rob Thurman. The Cal Leandros series alone is quite gripping, well placed, and a pleasing read. Jim Butcher is quite an excellent choice as well, even if his most recent addition to the Dresden Files was, well, dark even for him.

I don't think there is anything different between the two books other than the title. Also, he's second books sounds interesting.

It is, I just finished it a bit ago, and he does to zombies what he did to vampires in the first book, it was truly refreshing to read and highly enjoyable. I hope he continues to get his work published over here, he's quite a talented author with a lot of promise.

I have to agree, he is a talented author.

It's kind of at a tie at the moment. I'm up for reading those two, I own one of them.
