It would be much easier to cut down on waste if our cities were set up like those in Europe, where most places are within walking distance and public transport goes everywhere. And I agree on the whole can and will thing.

That would be useful, but it's the same problem as I said, we really aren't willing to do so. We have been accustomed to this somewhat lazy lifestyle. Whether it's connected to Global Warming or not is different but it would help other aspects of life.
