My Most Important Rule: NO brothers, PLEASE and thank you~! By the time Leka arrived to the scene, it was already pretty much over. Students were dispersing from the crowd and were beginning to head back to their respective dorms, or wherever they were going. Among the crowd, she could see the half-bear that was part of the fight leaving, too. Leka felt kind of bad for him, seeing a large man like himself walking away from a brawl with his tail between his legs. Not that he had a tail, and even if he did it wouldn't be long enough anyways. Leafy leaned on the tip of her toes in an attempt to locate her roommate, Lyoko. She was certain that it was her that she saw from the dorm window, and she was hoping that she would maybe fill her in on what happened. Not that she was really interested, but more bored than anything. "Lyoko!" she shouted as soon as she found her roommate and quickly made her way to side. She saw that she was with two other students. A boy and a girl. Even though she never talked to them before, she knew them both by name. Fyordnn was in three of her classes, Saya was in two, but she was notorious around the school for making escape attempts every now and then anyways. She didn't understand why Saya didn't want to be at the school, but she was sure that she had her own personal reasons, just like how she had her own reasons to not want to be back at home. She smiled out of courtesy and waved at Fyordnn and Saya quietly, as she didn't want to distract him from his healing spell. Leafy couldn't help but to grow a little bit jealous of how well he handled healing spells. She was able to handle simple healing spells such as fixing bruises and burns, but she wasn't able to heal cracked or broken bones. She didn't see a real reason to push herself to learn anything beyond that point, since she was convinced that she wouldn't even need it. She only took the class because the teachers recommended it to her because of her affinity to fire. Leafy would much rather allocate the whatever little attention span she had in her Elemental Magic class. ______I must Always Remember.... ____"Forgiveness is the ultimate sacrifice.".// ._. .//

Lyoko Faraday Unlike Lyoko, Saya gave a bit more of an elaborate answer, which probably wouldn't of happened with the Lycan unless she knew them like family. While Saya did seem to hold a grudge against Fyor, (probably for stopping her flight out of the building) she also wanted to be healed without having to go to the nurses. Lyoko has always been a little bit of an admirer to those who could heal, unlike Fyor, Lyoko didn't actually have the ability to heal wounds. She did have an uncanny knack for taking less time to heal from wounds, but she couldn't actually heal like Fyor was doing, unless she had some sort of latent power she hadn't discovered yet. For the most part, she'd enrolled in the healing class to learn natural means of remedy, perhaps salves and potions and the like instead of honing a magical ability. Being a fighter herself, she did need someway to heal herself if there wasn't any other healer around.
Lyoko zoned back in on the conversation when Saya said she could play a song for him, but at that Lyoko got completely confused. It didn't really show much though, it was just seen through a furrowing of her eyebrows. Why did the runaway feel as if she needed to give him more...? She'd helped him out of getting in trouble, and he was going to heal her, a favor for a favor. Fyor soon started turning his focus towards Saya, getting ready to do his healing, but as he turned, he also asked a question directed towards the both of them. "Aye, I'm from your healing class. I'm also in the same weapons class as you and it's not like I'll bite your head off for forgetting my name, I'm Lyoko." She was about to get ready and watching the healing process when a yell of her name was picked up by her sensitive ears.
Lyoko flinched, recognizing the voice as her roommate and for a moment, she looked around as if searching for an escape. Leafy was much to close though and Lyoko simply stared at the girl as she bounded to her side. Why was she intent on sticking around her...? Curse the roommate rule curse it. Since she wasn't asked a question, she wasn't about to willingly offer words so she simply crossed her arms as she leaned against the tree and watched Fyor and Saya. She was almost ignoring Leafy besides the fact that she had looked at her when she first arrived, but knowing her, Leafy would probably just continue on talking...

Harmony___Saya___Tennyson____[[ Name's Saya. And don't you dare call me Minnie. ]] "Well most of the pain is concentrated at at my torso." The girl gestured carefully, trying not to irritate her injuries anymore than she already had by ignoring them. That feat by itself was startling. Her physical strength wasn't anything amazing and while she had needed the aide of magic to win her fight, she had still managed to suppress the throbbing and burning pain of a few fractured ribs, all most likely on the verge of breaking after straining herself to such a point. "Here-" Saya pointed to the area directly below her chest, a good sign since that meant major injuries did not lie directly above or under the heart. "-To here." She finished, pointing to her lower stomach. Her torso was covered in bruises from the rough shove she had received as a followup attack, but she didn't bother pointing out the ones hidden by her clothes. Saya couldn't heal for anything in the world but the Windsette boy made it sound energy consuming. Sore spots she could handle just fine so there was no need for him to waste an extra spell or two on those minor ailments.
Saya was momentarily distracted by the alluring blue light that gradually appeared around the elf's hands, fascinated by the magical art she would never be able to master. "I'm also in the weapons class, though I didn't choose that one personally. I was told I needed more discipline and sparring against tools that could slice off my arm in one smooth sweep would instill said discipline into me." "Told" was a kind word to use. The professor requesting the removal of the trouble student from his class had been shouting. Her new professor took her in eagerly enough, however, seeming pleased to recruit a new student. The mischievous little smile of hers returned. "That plan backfired." It was teaching her discipline all right, but only in battle and only to her advantage. Hand-to-hand combat had given her the opportunity to experiment as well, giving her bits of experience with the bruises now covering her body underneath silky foreign cloth. "Ah, but my name is Har- I mean Saya." The habit of introducing herself by her first name was a hard one to break, but she much preferred being addressed otherwise by those outside her family tree. Her last name had already been announced by the teachers, so she didn't feel it necessary to include anymore.
As the elf got to work, already having predicted the troublesome injured area, Saya turned her head in the lycan's direction for the first time. "I'm a little jealous of you two. I don't have the patience for healing in the least, nor the talent for it." That explained why she didn't join them in that class setting. "I remember you though, from the weapons class." She added, only directing this toward Lyoko (since she honestly didn't remember the elf real well), sounding genial enough. "Your hair is quite stunning. I never had the opportunity to say so before." After complimenting her, Saya looked away again, having said what she wanted to. She usually said what she was thinking aloud without reserve, so this didn't bother her or change her casual manner.
The gentle tone to Mr. Windsetter's voice caught the young woman off guard. It simply wasn't something she had been expecting to hear, after everything else he had done and said. "Nice to know you can sound like that, too." The comment was vague, spoken quietly and more to herself. It was left unexplained to match the manner in which it was said. "Isn't it a good thing to have a wide range of interests?" Saya pointed out in regards to his reaction to her offer. "I don't make a habit of fighting anyhow." She felt a slight tingle spread across her stomach then, not unpleasant but not natural either. It sunk beneath the surface of her skin, evolving into a cool sensation that seeped into her bones.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Where's your gavel? Fyordnn spoke calmly as he repeated their names more for his own benefit than to actually acknowledge them. He was watching his hands carefully to make sure he didn't drop the blue aura around them. It wouldn't be difficult to bring it back, but if he could keep it up continually it would be more energy effecient for him. "Lyoko...and Har- you mean Saya..."His mouth formed into a light smirk, glancing up at the girl's face for just a moment to let her know he hadn't missed her catching herself. He brought his focus back down to her injuries and shut his eyes almost entirely, his eyes rolling back ever so slightly. From what Saya said, she had one rib actually broken, which wasn't surprising considering the physical size of who she had taken a hit from. Beyond that though, only two more were cracked and two more bruised but most likely intact. It was a guess but an educated one, based on past experiences and his own studies at the school and back home. And knowing that, it was a relatively easy fix. His fingers danced slowly in flowing gestures as he moved his hands near the injured areas, directing the blue light off his hands in a controlled manner so that it melted into her skin only where it needed to.
After a few moments he opened is eyes back up and flicked his wrist back, almost like he was about to snap his fingers, letting the light leave his hands like drops of water yet again. There were proper ways of cancelling healing spells and other ways of ending the work. But like most magic, healing was similar to an art, and unique to the individual. Din healed with his own particular style, a style that he liked, even down the his release, because it was his own little touch. Another healer of the exact same skill level could and probably would heal in a completely different manner. One of the tricks of healing magic was not to focus so much on molding yourself to the art, but molding the art around you. That was a lesson he had learned back in the village before moving his studies to the school.
"Alright then, that should do it,"he said, returning to his normal tone and rising to his feet."if anything still hurts down there, tell me, your ribcage is one place you really don't wanna ignore pain. 'Ey." He said, turning to give the Faire girl a brief hello. Leka he remembered, seeing as she was in literally all of his courses. He walked away from the runaway to lean his back against a tree, putting his hands behind his head"Well now that this li'l venture's over, I figure the rest of the day's gonna look pretty boring in comparison...there must be something good going on somewhere..."he muttered, more to himself than anyone around him. He'd leave the school grounds if he had to, he wasn't really willing to sit around and enjoy the scenery all day. He'd made it off grounds a few times in the past in searching for entertainment, a problem that was considerably easier when one wasn't watched as closely as Saya was, and when one always came back afterwards. After a moment of thinking to himself he spoke aloud again."Actually lost track of time...anyone know where we're at on the clock?" Din kept up his freedom to run about carelessly by making it look like he was following the schools rules. Which meant besides a few run-ins, he tried not to miss every class and tried not to draw faculty attention to himself. There was a good number of teachers at the school who knew him better than that, but as long as he didn't get CAUGHT doing anything questionable, there was really nothing that could be done.

Harmony___Saya___Tennyson____[[ Name's Saya. And don't you dare call me Minnie. ]] The Windsetter boy was examined with careful eyes and a small frown, but only for a moment. It didn't matter if he caught her slip, really. She hadn't lied, only skipped over a name she preferred not be used when addressing her. The little girl lying sick in bed in a lonely mansion two weeks carriage ride away was the only one permitted to use that name and the nickname associated with it. Saya was not so sure this student would comply with any wishes regarding that rule, so it was marked as personal information not to be shared. It was only a small, meaningless detail anyway to someone she was sure she would not see much of again. After all, her plan was to escape this bothersome academy as soon as she possibly could. The goal was always fresh in her mind, a constant priority hidden occasionally behind the concentration she kept in mind to display during classes.
"You never bothered to introduce yourself." It was an abrupt break away from her thoughts and more of a statement than a request. "And I do think I will have to call you something, sir." Saya added in a more playful tone, in danger of getting herself lost in one of her beloved games. As if the people around her did not think she was crazy enough. Luckily, the elf's way of canceling the healing spell he had been so generous as to aide her with distracted her. Drops of soothing blue light dripped away from each finger before fading into the air, leaving no sign of ever having existed at all. She hadn't enough knowledge of healing to know that this was Mr. Windsetter's unique touch, a creative spin that transformed the function of magic into something like an art, but she did know it was something intriguing to witness. "I'm sure I will be fine now. Thank you very much." Saya both reassured him and made a sincere show of her appreciation. "When you decide to call in the favor I owe you, let me know. But I don't intend of sticking around too much longer so I don't suggest taking forever to come up with something good." It was amusing that she would add a time limit to his I.O.U. The determination and overall defiance toward anyone foolish enough to argue with her was sneaking back into her eyes again, an ever-present example of just one part of her simplistically complex personality.
Without ever bothering to greet the fourth person in the group, Saya eased in to silent analyzing. The threat of watchful eyes had all but disappeared with the departure of both a large crowd of students and a small crowd of academic employees. The peaceful Sunday atmosphere had only been disturbed for a short amount of time. The staff was only too eager to shift back into a mode of relaxation. Her mischievous smile reappeared yet again, lighting up her face as a compliment rather solely a reason to be suspicious. She closed her eyes, turned slightly away from the group, focusing on the whispers the wind carried to her ears, words no one else could hear or interpret. There was little movement beyond the occasional distant squirrel. The birds were always a nuisance, having to be ignored as a possible threat and weeded out of the report. There was no reason she should not be able to simply walk off campus. "Perhaps the day has not been lost after all." Saya glanced back at the wood elf, smile still in tact. "If you don't want the rest of the day to be boring, don't let it be. You seem accustomed to making your own bit of chaos. Why not simply create some more?" With that bit of advice shared, the girl simply faced forward again and started walking. No manners in a brief goodbye to be found, and certainly no chance of her explaining just what she was up to. But she did happen to break into a hearty jog a few minutes after deserting those three students who still stood together, headed straight for the main road.
No, the day had not been lost at all. There was still much to accomplish.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Where's your gavel? My Most Important Rule: NO brothers, PLEASE and thank you~! Leafy stopped paying attention to the boy's healing spell halfway through the process, she wasn't too interested in seeing more than she had. He was obviously good at healing arts, but what he was doing wasn't amazing enough to keep her attention. Maybe he if he were reattaching a severed body part, or were bringing something back to life she would be interested, but chances of something happening that would put them in that sort of situation was close to non-existent. Besides, restoring life to something would probably be forbidden anyways. She wouldn't know, she never payed attention to the class lectures. They just bored her too much. Leafy turned her attention to her surroundings and was a little bit bothered by how fast the area became deserted. She had seen many fights break out in school grounds before, and the crowds usually tend to hang around a bit longer, even after the fighting had stopped. She wondered if there was an event or something today, not that she would be interested in attending or anything. It just gave her something to think about while the two had their conversation. It would have been rude for her to bud in, since neither of them seemed to know her, and her conversations with Lyoko were usually very short and uninteresting. When Leafy turned back to Saya, she had already ran off on her own again. She seemed to be headed towards the main road. Perhaps she was already making another attempt to escape already? "She's... very persistent." she said very quietly, partly to herself and partly to Lyoko. She kind of wanted to follow her out of curiosity and so that she would have something to do, but at the same time she didn't. Leafy was just bored and indecisive. She reached for Lyoko and lightly tugged on her sleeve, "Hey, what do suppose we do now?" she asked, hoping that she would decide for her. ______I must Always Remember.... ____"Forgiveness is the ultimate sacrifice."

Din looked up at the branches, realizing from Saya that he had in fact forgotten to introduce himself. Apparently he had simply assumed everyone's memory of names was better than his own, seeing as he shared at least one class with each of them. Before he could correct his forgetfulness, though, the runaway stayed true to her title and was off, leaving no good bye aside from her last words. "That'd be the word for it..." he said off-handedly, mostly to himself, being aware that Leka wasn't addressing him with the statement. The girl had a strange lack of interest in males from what he'd seen, so it wasn't likely she'd say much of anything just to him. Her next words toward the wolf-girl mixed with Saya's parting words in his head, rolling around to create ideas. It was Sunday, no classes, no place to be, so what was there to do? Listen to the runaway and make his own chaos, or at least go hunt for something if nothing presented itself. He thought about every possibility the school-grounds offered, but nothing appealed to him. He wanted something more interesting then just hanging out in his friends' dorms or walking around, but pushing his luck on the campus would be ill-fated after his activities so far.
"Well, guess I'm going to town, then. Gotta be somethin out there." he said aloud, though to no one in particular, pulling his arms out from behind his head and stretching before pushing off the tree entirely. "Guess I'll see ya in class." he muttered as he walked off, quietly as not to jump into their conversation, conversation in this case including Leka simply talking to Lyoko with little return. He headed off, but in a different direction than Saya had. He usually took the same way off campus, and was hoping his way would be shorter than hers. He went straight to his dorm and headed up to his room on the second floor. He went in quietly and glanced around, checking the bedroom as well. His roommate was out, which meant he could leave properly. He opened the door to the balcony that extended from the room and backed up to the other side till the back of his foot was against the wall. After setting himself, he sprinted forward, pouring as much speed as possible into the short distance before flinging himself up and out into the open air, kicking off the railing for extra push. Soaring for a short distance, he finally met his target, catching the tree branch with both hands and letting his momentum carry his body up from under the branch to rest in a crouch on top of it. An ideal route out of the school for him would have been to tree run to the gate and exit, but unfortunately, the actual forest didn't start for a few miles in any direction, and only a few trees speckled the campus within that range, not enough to have a full route. His current method relied on timing and a little luck, but it was good enough for him. He imagined other students had easier or more foolproof methods, but like most instances, he stuck to his own style, even if it wasn't the best. From the branch he was on, he alternated off jumping and pulling higher into the branches until he'd gone far enough up to see the roof of his dorm. He tested the branch in front of him and them ran off of it, sending himself back towards the building exactly one floor up, landing with a roll on the rooftop.
Now was the hard part. He turned and faced the roof of the main building, considerably out of regular jumping distance, and a floor taller than the building he stood on at the moment."Ok...here we go..." he calmed himself down and planted his feet all the way on the other side of the roof, chanting an earth magic spell aloud. It was a simple spell, thank God, because it was remarkably helpful for his style of living and yet inside his learning range of earth magic. When he was done he felt the tingle at the base of his foot and grinned to himself. He exploded from his position at full speed, picking up even more as he went across the roof. The simple spell, used for planting oneself and keeping balance, when put to this practice, kept his feet from losing any traction at all, effectively doubling his speed over the short distance. In the time between his start and the far edge of the roof, he spoke up another incantation, finishing just as his foot reached the edge of the building and causing the stone surface to shoot up under his foot. His own jump, the added push, and the additional speed sent him flying out over the gap between the buildings. Naturally though, even that help was not enough to get him that far AND one floor up, but he never hoped that it was. He arched just well enough to catch the fixture that allowed vines from the garden to climb up the side of the wall, getting a few bruises on impact at about the height just a few feet under that of where he'd jumped from. The wooden frame that reached as high as half-way up the third floor would have easily broken under his weight, if he were any bigger than a 4 foot wood elf. He paused for a moment to catch his breath and looked down to check his surroundings, freezing for a moment. Two teachers were passing by a few meters away from being directly under him, discussing something he couldn't hope to understand, or likely care about. Their backs had been turned against his jump, for which he was thankful, but he stayed completely still for a few moments, praying he hadn't made too much noise on impact. After a few second he started pulling himself slowly up the wall, glancing down at the teachers with every motion. Once he reached the end of the ladder he held on with his hands and moved his feet so that they rested on the stone of the wall itself. Traction spells still in place, he rocked down once and pushed himself up to grab the ledge of the roof. He pulled himself up with a little difficulty and rolled onto the main-building's roof. "Today's a good day." he breathed to himself, remaining on his back for a few moments.
He finally pushed himself up onto his feet and walked to the front of the building, which faced the distant front gate. It was Sunday, which had almost as much traffic as Saturday did, so he hoped his luck would turn out well. Sure enough, when he looked down over the edge, a fairly large carriage was waiting happily near the front door. He could always count on a few carriages a day, whether they were new students or teacher business, but usually he had to wait for a bit. He checked the front area to make sure no one was looking his way, and dropped down over the edge onto the intricate ledge that rested over the front door of the building, catching himself with only a little pain, which he quickly relieved with a simple heal. After that he made the short distance to the carriage roof, trying hard not to let his full wait find its way to the wooden frame. He landed and rolled to lay on his back on the square roof, body hidden enough from those on the ground but the small rising along the edges. He lay tense for a moment, waiting to hear any sound of alert but none came. With a sigh he let his head fall back and waited for the ride to start moving towards the front gate.

Harmony___Saya___Tennyson____[[ Name's Saya. And don't you dare call me Minnie. ]] "Stop right there, Miss Tennyson!" A voice called out toward the girl. She didn't possibly think no one suspected further trouble than her? As if there wouldn't be someone on guard, just watching and waiting for her to slip up. (Clearly she had no won the favor of many of her professors, although it wasn't too surprising with her regular antics.) The man that had led the crowd of academic instructors faded in view just ahead of Saya, like a mirage appearing gradually out of thin air. For one of the academy's professors, it was a small feat to project himself from one area to another and then complete the teleportation magic after an image of himself had been conjured.
Saya made a face, veering quickly to the right, obviously keeping to the direction opposite of the place she came to see as a prison, if not a comfortable one. Strangely enough, she said not a thing. No irritated shouts to leave her be, nor where there any taunting words to insult and egg on the man she was supposed to pay a smidge of respect.
The professor smirked, amused at her continued attempt at escaping. Hadn't she already realized this entire charade was futile? Perhaps the Tennyson girl was trying to save some face by going down without a fight. "Don't embarrass yourself further."He caught up easily with her light run, no magic aiding her. Even this oddity he did not notice. He reached out to grab her arm, startled into mass confusion when his hand simply went right through it.
"M-Miss Tennyson? What is the meaning of this?!" The man of learning stuttered, watching with freshly inspired rage as the girl, whose very image was breaking apart and fading back into the surroundings, turned and pulled down one eyelid with her index finger and stuck out her tongue in an act of provocation.
"You lose." Her playful yet victorious voice sounded like static. A soft giggle filled the air, as if to mock the man's expression, before any sign of Saya had completely disappeared.
"Wha... WHAAAATTTT?!"
A few miles from the boys dormitory stood the fugitive, covered by the abundance of trees the forest provided. "I will never take the library for granted again." Saya vowed aloud, gasping as a breeze brought back a fragment of herself - and a bit of magic with it - and forced it into her teenage frame.
Rewinding a little bit, she had gotten here after her the three students she stood with previously thought they saw her jog off. All if took was a deep breathe and a quick release of herself to all the air around them to whisk her away, leaving behind an after-image of sorts as a nearly invisible Saya was ripped back from her position before she knew what was going on herself. A book including some information on her unique parental background had given her the idea. A sylph could become one with the wind, so why couldn't she try it for just a few seconds? The intricate details and dangers of such magic was foreign to her, but the idea seemed plausible. All Saya had remembered doing was putting the theory into practice, sucking in enough air to keep her human half alive and breathing during the trip. After that it was only a matter of letting herself fall back into the wind and trusting it to carry her. The after-image had been an unexpected but useful side-effect, set out to do what Saya would have if this whole thing didn't work. In the end, the force she was pulled away with had been too much to hold her breathe for long and she lost it, immediately retaining her visibility and taking a nasty five foot fall to the ground (which was a funny and unexpected little twist, seeing as how she didn't even know she had been airborne at all). The small effort had taken a lot out of her, but it appeared to be well worth it. Saya had looked up to see the forest only a few yards away and no one around to catch her, scrambling to her feet and literally diving into the cover of nature. A mere handful of seconds had gotten her farther than she could have hoped.
"Take that, Farvardin Aegle Academy!" Saya declared cheerfully, making her way quickly through the foliage under her feet and at all sides, keeping the fields opening up to the school in sight between the trees so she didn't get lost. All there was to do now was to make it the main road, this time with all the privacy she would hope for. The second Saya found a dirt trail, only a little way's off from the edge of the woods, she hoped on it and broke into a run. It was still a long way to the road, so a magical boost that consumed more of the remaining magic within her carried her to her current destination in half the time that it would have taken her otherwise. Luckily, no monsters or vicious animals met her along the way. The day was turning out wonderfully, despite the morning mishaps.
Once reaching the road, Saya stopped for her second break, having taken one other halfway through the run here. The distance from the forest to the main road was substantially shorter than from the Academy's main building, something that worked in her favor since she was stuck traveling on foot. "Wow." Her face broke out into a grin, some dirt covering the bottom hemming of her kimono and speckling random parts of her feet and sandals. This was the farthest she had ever gotten. "I did it!" She clapped her hands together, not having decided yet what to do at this point. For now, it was good enough to take in the exhilaration of freedom and the victory that had allowed her to obtain it.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Where's your gavel? Your jury? // What's my offense this time? // You're not a judge but if you're gonna judge me Well, sentence me toanother life
Well, you treat me just like another stranger // Well, it's nice to meet you, sir // I guess I'll go, I best be on my way out
This is the BEST THING that could've happened // Any longer and I wouldn't have made it It's not a war, no, it's not a rapture // I'm just a person but you can't take it
The same TRICKS that, that once fooled me // They won't get you anywhere // I'm not the same kid from your memory Well, now I can fend for myself

Once he saw the front gate pass over his head, Fyordnn waited a few more moments before sitting up on the carriage roof and looking ahead. His ride was headed towards the nearest human town it seemed, so he stayed on the roof. There really wasn't much point getting down if they were going the right direction. He crossed his arms over the front edge of the carriage roof and rested his chin on them, relaxing and staring forward as his ride went on. Though he'd never really spoken to the three girls before, he couldn't help but wonder what the rest of the group he'd just been with would be doing with their day. No doubt the runaway would stay true to her title, but what about the wolf and Leafy? He doubted that they would choose to follow his lead and leave the school on a whim, but did entertain the idea of meeting up with them for a little while. Saya, he imagined, would just keep running in the event she made it out. He was out for entertainment, with every intention of returning that night, but if she made it out, her goal was escape, so he likely wouldn't be seeing her around the town either. He knew he wasn't the only student who ditched campus every now and then for a trip into town. The teachers had to be aware of student activities too, even if they didn't actually know the who and when of them. Sometimes students would see each other off the grounds, but unless their goal was to meet up, they rarely joined up, normally each person was out for their own purpose.
Once the buildings of the town were close at hand, Din hopped off the back of his unaware carrier and let some distance fall between them. It was much easier to ditch the ride here and walk than to wait until buildings and people surrounded them. With his hands behind his head, he walked along in the side of the street happily, checking out each building he passed. After spending all week looking at the same buildings and same faces, any change of pace was satisfying. As he passed the gap between two structures, a hard shove from his side sent him stumbling into the alleyway. Before he could steady himself or turn to see the cause he collided with another body and felt his arms grabbed on either side of him by two sets of hands. "Ey, what's the big idea?!" he yelled, tugging but not really trying to break out just yet.
"Little young to be walking all by your lonesome, don't you think, kid?" The one who had shoved him walked into the alley as the two holding him backed up, pulling the whole scene farther from the street.' Am I being MUGGED? Really? And 'kid'? This is just annoying. ' Din sighed and tugged harder, but his arms weren't coming out from this angle. "You really gonna try this while the sun's out, genius?"
"Hardly matters. People don't look for trouble. They don't have to help if they never see it, understand?" His attacker explained, coming closer. Din spotted the handle of a knife in the criminal's pocket and smirked. He still had several small blades of his own hidden all over his person, but it would be much more fun to use that one. " Now I figure you're alone because you got sent on an errand, so I'm guessing your parents spotted you some pocket change. You can hand over what you have, or things'll just get messy. Alright?" Din moved to look past the man and sure enough, people kept passing by, not even bothering to look down the way. 'What a bunch of selfish pricks...oh well, never wanted help anyway.' He sighed and shook his head, looking up at the man. He was close enough now, no more need to waste time. "Really? The 'easy way or the hard way' pitch? Even for a lowlife that's just...dull. And you know the problem with a knife is tha' unless you know how to use it, you got'a get close enough for me to take it. Case 'n point..." The elf quickly launched off the ground, plowing his foot into the man's jaw, and using the remaining force to flip over completely, the torque of the motion being enough to twist his arms free. Before the other two could react, he jumped through the gap where he'd just stood and pulled the man's knife out of his pocket. It was no more to look at than a kitchen blade. "Pathetic..." he muttered, using the same motion he'd taken the knife in to step past the thief and slide the metal across the back of his ankles. He quickly dropped to his knees, then fell on his face, still trying to recover from the first blow he'd taken. One simple slice across the right spot took away his ability to stand or walk entirely.
Coming up from incapacitating the leader, Din brushed a punch to the side and shattered one of the other's elbow casually, as though it was nothing. He was used to practicing with magic involved, or sparring with races better equipped than humans. It was sad that he was only a student, he couldn't fathom a human's chances against a teacher. After breaking the man's arm, he brought the knife down into his thigh, disabling his movement as well and nudging him over onto the ground. The third man rushed him, apparently hoping to tackle the smile boy, but quickly realized how effective that plan was when the elf pushed off the ground, putting his full body's force into the man's face with a knee. Landing, Din turned and slid the blade across the same tendon that he'd slashed on the first attacker. He flipped the knife over his finger once and flicked it to the ground, lodging it just in front of the leader's face. The three were groaning and rolling with what motion they had left. "Don't be a baby, it'll all heal in time." he muttered with a bored tone as he knelt down and started going through some of their pockets. "If you're not gonna do things right, don't do them at all, real thieves know how this game works." He counted out some money and tossed everything else he'd found back on the ground, holding the money up with a content grin, "An for the record, my parents never gave me anything as nice as money, so I do thank ya kindly."
A short while later, Din was happily taking a stool at the bar of a pub a few block away. He ordered a heavy drink and gave the barkeep a significant tip to overlook his apparent age. "So how's it tonight?" he asked a barely conscious drunk to his right. When no coherent answer came back, he patted the man on the back and took his drink in his other hand, "S'pose it's good then. Yea, my thought's exactly." He sniffed the alcohol in his glass and wrinkled his nose a moment, then turned the glass up and started putting it down.
