And another thing, doctors lose out on money because of the intervention from insurance companies. Why do you think when you go to the doctor for a cold, they run you through as many tests as they can possibly give you? When you're only there for nothing but a damn cold, because that's the only way they can forage any money from your visit.
They only make the extreme minimal from your visit because the insurance was "paying" for it.
I had a friend who went to a doctor in France who didn't accept insurance. She was sick with an ear infection. Paid the doctor $15 out of pocket to see him & another $10 for her medication. In, out, easy, just like that.
It's unfortunate that we live in a country of such mass proportions in which so many are greedy and lazy.
Although I honestly don't care about someones laziness since it's there choice in the first place and I don't care about someones greed since I was planning on one day owning a company of mine own in order to insure that my children and my children's children are well taken care of forever and ever I do however strongly agree with your statements on Insurance. I find Insurance to be a massive scam and a massive waist of money. Specially now that even though the insurance states it "Covers it" it doesn't cover all of it and it makes you pay for literally half of the cost of whatever it is before it will even look into it. I do agree with you as well that if we didn't have the insurance in the first place we could easily pay for whatever it is we needed like shots or medicine. However there is quite an argument when it comes down to big things such as Open Heart Surgery, which can cost up to 30,000 euros, or around 60,000 American dollars, according to, "Ezine Articles" And that for the Average person isn't something that we have in our pockets, However another side to the argument is why doesn't the doctors just make up a payment plan to get rid of it, and how often does the average person need heart surgery. So all in all I find insurance to just be something for the person to decide on and not to be forced on us since we can actually use that large sum of money on something else instead of handing it over to an insurance company that wont even pay the whole thing no matter how small the payment is... However i'm speaking from my insurance's point of view in which I only went to the optometrist in order to get my lenses fixed because of scratches and they charged me 50 dollars for the job and my insurance only payed $25 for it and I had to obviously pay for the other $25... On the good side they threw in a free glasses cleaning cloth ^.^
