Alex looked at Lynette and knew something was wrong. She was pale and...terrified. Then he remembered her problem with crowds. "Lynette, are you okay?" He grabbed her pulled her through the groups of people into an emty alley. The fact that she wasn't breathing scared him the most. "I'm sorry! This is all my fault!" He didn't know what to do. He hoped she would recover on her own, but he wasn't sure. "C'mon.."

Lynette leaned against the wall of the building behind her for balance, finally managing to get air into her lungs. She gradually steadied her breathing, then lowered her hand. "I'm alright, I'm alright." She glanced away, guiltily. And just a little ashamed. "Sorry. . ." She knew she should have said something before, pointed out that more people were arriving and that she wasn't comfortable with it but. . . but he'd been so happy at just walking, that she hadn't found the nerve to say anything until. . . until it'd gotten so bad that, had he not pulled her out of the crowd, she would have passed out.

Alex sighed in relief. "Thank God....I was freaking out for minute there." He leaned up against the opposite wall and closed his eyes, kicking himself for being an idiot. "Okay, so we can probably take a back way up to the shop. Less people...at least most of the way. Some of these alleys have to be connected. They're old city blocks..."

Lynette watched him a moment, then glanced down again. "Alright. Sorry. . ." Lynette felt bad. He'd been so excited about being down here, about looking around. Lynette hadn't been exaggerating when she'd spoken of her fear before. She truely hadn't. . . if anything, she'd undermined it at some points. Straightening, Lynette glanced up at him. "Thank you."

"You don't need to be sorry." He said, smiling as he propped himself up. "Okay. So some of these might be dead ends. it can get like a maze at times but the nice thing is that you can't really get lost." He said looking down the alley. We'll be taking a right to get back...So you up for a mini adventure?

Lyentte didn't respond to his first statement, rather than argue with him. She glanced up at him when he kept talking though, and nodded a bit. "Yeah." So long as there aren't any more crowds. . . Lynette gave a weak smile.

Alex lead her through the alleys. Most were connected, but a few were blocked off. He wasn't quite sure id he was going the right direction until the Buildings changed. They were slick and new compared to the old part of town. "Okay. This is where we hit the sidewalk. They don't look too crowded from here." He said looking out onto the street.

Lynette had trailed after him, silent as usual, and peeked out. He was right, there weren't many people out there. Few enough that she could easily walk through them. Lynette glanced up at Alex and nodded, with a smile a bit stronger than her earlier ones. "Yeah. I'll be fine with this amount of people. Thank you, Alex." Lynette was of the mind that he didn't have to do that, but still had. He was a good friend.

He smiled and stepped out into the street. "It's no problem. Really." The shop was about a bock away from this point. Nothing a major...just a brisk walk.

Lynette followed him, smiling like her usual self. Then she scowled a bit. "do you hear-" moments later, the music that had seemed to be following them all day came into earshot. "Uhm. . . isn't that your friends?" Lynette glanced up at him. She didn't knwo if he wanted to try and make a run for the store, or hide in the allyways, or what.
