If I add 2 extra prongs to a Jav making it a trident, do those 2 prongs count when hit point first?

So long as they're strike legal, and meet the size requirements.

It will be,I planned to just add 2 pool noodle barbs to the sides. Making it 3 prongs foreward. That way instead of a 2.5 inch strike area,I'd have a 12 inch strike area.

Be careful if you do it wrong it'll either lead to tearing of foam or an unbalanced throwie making it an undesirable choice.

I have no idea if it's actually in the rulebook, but when someone would come out with a trident in years past, we would check to make sure that the space between the prongs wasn't big enough to fit someone's neck into. That can be a really dangerous thing if someone neck gets caught in there.

I would make them about a wrists distant apart prong wise. Like 3 inches max,to prevent a nasty throat accident,it will be thrown after all

my suggestion would be shield foam an gorrila glue. I made a keyblade the same way and the foam has yet to tear or break. however the core of it broke when i blocked a great sword.

Hey, you guys... When we make weapons, do you think we can post pictures of like every stage of the process? It'd be cool to see some of the tech involved with some weapons from other lands.

That's a great idea. If any of you start a project and would like to show in-process and final photos, just start a thread for yourself. This will work for armor, weapons, garb, almost anything. Title it something like, "Mren's crazy vest, in-process" or something like that.
