I have dropped all my current projects to put together a 'cthulhian bible' of sorts. But with only two or three exceptions i have only read lovecraftian cthulhu mythos. So, i need some help from other members in assembling the text of this book.

Here is it as i have thus far(this is not worded how it will go into the final book)

In the beginning there was an absolute singularity. smaller then even a quark. It was absolute Xero. True xero. Nothing and everything as one. Then is a burst of energy and heat it, everything, became a binary existence. this binary existance was Azathoth and Yog-Sothoth.

So, help would be a good thing. In fact, it is mostly a nescessary thing.

And as a side note, it is going to be written as-if penned by a 16th-17th century english cultist. Start out looking all normal like, but by the end of the book the text will be all kinds of messed up. Who needs sanity anyway?


As an extra question, one that does not specificly relate, how many people in this guild are neo-pagans? Any one here actually worship cthulhu? It would be best if you did...

ninja I'm interested; but I dunno how much I can help. Neo-pagan? I am, of sorts. >.> I have very interesting beliefs XD ninja Maybe I'll explain them to you one day? *shrugs*

I have a knack for putting writing together and making it sound good; then again I've taken AP Literature so yeah. In the least, I can offer ideas to the project.

Hmm...Not sure where this post would really go. Maybe in the arts thing, since its technically part art?

It will be more in the tradition of a grimoire then a bible. Though all the good stories of the gods shall be told, Though maybe not always in chronological order. Just as i can find the best way to put it in. The lack of chronological order may add to the whole author-is-insane concept. But we shall see.
The good thing about this is that i will need less help in the content. But i still need a lot. So, post any bits you know, or link to places that have good info.
Also listing off a few authors and specific books that add to the cthulhian mythos would be good. You dont need to list the lovecraftian ones, i think i have that. lolz. Any way, Danke

One extra note, I shall be leaving this up front(provided our Deus Guildmaster decides to allow this to stay here, but in the place for mythos art i shall start a topic for the work done.

Do you have The Encyclopedia Cthulhiana? For me it's a go to source for all mythos related things. For each entry they list the stories it has appeared in as well as the authors and notes which one was the first story to bring it up. It also has a timeline appendix and a bibliography. It's pretty amazing.

I am aiming a more of a medieval look. For the sake of the insanity, i may be able to throw in some of your work

And i decided i could do more of a bible kind of layout, it'll be more fun. I can also add pages in the back of it to. And now i am aiming at more of an early fifteenth century look and feel

Thanks to skool, i have not had much in the way time to work on this. But, yesterday i sat down and wrote the first two paragraphs out while waiting for me math class to start (i have three classes a day of math, and next quarter, i get to do four!!!!!!!!).
well, actually, its more like a paragraph and a half. Well, not really that much even. But here it is.

When i actually put this to the pen, ill throw it up in the fanart subbie. But until then, it should stay here, maybe get some attention and a bit more help.

Thus far, it is:

In the beginning there was nothing but chaos, and chaos was all. Moving continuously within its self, forever changing. It was not good, nor was it evil, it was chaos. For all that was before there was. the chaos shifted and changed. Never did it take one form more then once. The chaos was pure. This was the beginning, and it shall be the end.

And suddenly, the chaos became a single point of existence, thus becoming conscious as Azathoth and giving birth to Yog-sothoth. The chaos had split into two gods, the parent and the child.

Need a God of Darkness to get eaten by Azathoth. Will also be giving 'birth' to few of our other friends.

Oh, and as a side not
Whenever i write on this, i end up typing it like a TOPY member, i think it is apropriate, but regardless of that, for some reason i do it anyway. Its like the back of y mind is screaming
