Kitty nodded, understanding the reason behind Avani's stubborness.
"If ever you need a place to come", she said hesitantly, pausing, "my backyard is always open."
Kitty pulled out a paw to pat over Avani's ears, but decided against it and set it gently beside her again.
"Do you know anyone else around here? .. You should atleast be protected from the rebels of the alley", said Kitty, with a nervous gklance over his shoulder.

"I know the crows...but that's it," the kit replied after a sideglance at the large paw beside her. She hadn't showed interest towards Kitty's backyard offer, but even so, she stored it in the back of her mind.
"Who are the rebels?" She asked. Her ears had caught some talk of rebels before, but she'd never gotten any names or information.

"They're not just one or two", Kitty said with a nervous laugh. "They are everywhere, and they're dangerous."
"There are two that I know of, in particular", she said, taking her gaze away from Avani. "A stubby white male and a crazed tabby", Kitty said with a slight nod, her eyes fogging with the memory of them.
"Stay away from them", she said sharply, turning her attention back to Avani.

Amber lanterns widend and ears went straight up at the sudden sharp tone. Kitty had gotten the stubborn kitten's attention enough and now Avani was nodding her head slightly vigorously. "Yes mam."
After a few minutes of silence, the tabby kit decided to ask, "what are their names and...why are they to be stayed away from?" She was curious and perhaps, depending on the answer Kitty gave, would cause Avani to be much more careful in future.

"Because they're rebels! It's simple", Kitty growled.
She regretted it then. Softly, she added in, "I'm sorry. Their names are Thorn and Fang. I've just .. had an encounter with them before. They aren't the friendliest type", she said with a weak smile, patting Avani over the ears with an outstretched paw.
"Beware Thorn and Fang", she said, staring into Avani's golden eyes, and hoping never to see herself in them.

Ears flicked back at the snarl, but came forward again with the apology. She could sense Kitty was dead serious and because of the way the older feline as expressed all this information, Avani would stay clear of anyone going by the names of Thorn or Fang.
The kitten gave a small nod before scrunching her eyes closed as the larger paw smushed between her ears. When she opened them again, they went wide for a second when she saw Kitty's dead on stare. "I'll keep a look out for then and stay clear..." she said in her strong kitten tone. The tabby also wanted to ask what sort of confrontation Kitty hadwith this pair, but held her tongue for something told her not to.
