A new organization is formed, and the leader's power is tested. Chapter 15: Night of Brilliance -- The first "real" romance has just begun, just as the Night of Brilliance is also commencing. This is by FAR the longest chapter, boasting a massive 4,650 words! [7 pages in MSWord] I felt like getting a teaser statement for both of these. )

Kristin shook her head from side to side. She followed him. "You know, its not bad to accept someone's help. I might not be as strong as you or Firomis or anyone else is but still, there must be something else I can do", she said and folded her arms. She didnt like being left out. "Is Firomis going to be alright?", she asked him, more worried than she wanted to sound. "I mean, nothing is going to happen to him right?", she said.

"Firomis is already quite powerful himself. I believe he may even be more powerful than myself, though sometimes I think he wishes to hide that. He tends to put on a false front sometimes, but he is fully capable. And now that he will be residing in the Royal district, there is even less reason to worry. The Royal Guards are all hand picked, and the vast majority of them are more skilled in magic than some of our highest Magistrates."

((GAHH having a hard time trying to make something for this AND writing for NaNoWriMo!!!!! But if i can keep writing here i think i can really go in a new direction with my guys brother.))
Ramas led Meryll through the mansion to go to their rooms. "God damn, so close and yet so far. We have everything ready to get back to but we can't do anything without brother." Ramas clenched his fist in anger. "Why couldn't he just stay with you?" Ramas took a glance at Meryll and notice her gloomy expression. "Whats wrong sis? Did i say something?"
Meryll seemed to pull out of a trance when he spoke. It took her a second to process what he just said. "No nothings wrong exactly, its ok." She returned to her trance like state.
"What is it? You know i can tell when your sad sis. Whats wrong?"
Meryll looked like she was trying to figure something out. It took her awhile to respond. "Well. Its just i don't want to go back to our old life. I actually kind of like it on my own with no one to coddle me. I can get everything just the way i like it because i'm doing it myself. I don't need the wealth or the fame of our old life. I don't want to go back."
Ramas was quite stricken by her talk. "But we're considered nothing to these people! I've had to do everything for these people and get nothing more but a sigh and just enough money to last me through to the next job. And once i'm done with that one i have to save scraps just to give to you. I don't want to be considered as such scum who's only use is to do the worst jobs imaginable. All because i have nothing behind my name. I'm through with this, i don't want to have to give tooth and nail to stay alive anymore."
Meryll quickly interrupted him, "So its not really to help your family now is it? You don't care how this affects your family. Your Just doing this to help yourself! Whatever happened to honoring Mom and Dad? Your just a selfish pig looking for a reason to get what you want."
Ramas was angered by her accusations, it took all he had to prevent from striking her. " Damn it you take that back! You know i've fought hard to keep you alive! Who was it who kept you safe when we had to traverse the forest to hide from our would be murderers? Who was it who had to kill people for money to pay for your food? Who was it who had to find you a home to stay in when we had nothing to pay rent with? I've done everything to keep our family together!"
"What about brother? What have you done for him? He won't even talk to you anymore."
"What do you think i'm trying to do right now? I can get him the seat he was supposed to take before the murders! I spent the first couple of years after the wars looking for him. I've wanted to help him but he won't hear of it! I haven't been able to contact him at all and he'll only talk to you. Why do you think i ask of him often? I want to help him but he won't let me."
"Your lying. You wouldn't help him at all if he wasn't necessary to help you!"
Ramas lost his temper and started to swing, he realized what he was doing when his fist was still in the air and changed it so it would hit a wall instead of his sister. "THAT IS A DAMN LIE FROM YOUR OWN MOUTH! I've been doing everything for the two of you! EVERYTHING! If you won't accept it then i'll just do this on my own!" Ramas stormed away, he'd let his sister ask a servant where her room was. He went straight to his own and tried his best to calm himself.

Kristin rolled her eyes. "I know he is strong Sethos", she said. "But that sometimes doesnt stop you from getting hurt", she muttered. "Alright. I'll go find something to do now and you can go do... whatever it is magistrates do", she said. "I'll probably see you later", she said. She was a little angry at him that he hadnt accept her help. She wasnt able to do much but still she wanted to help in any way she could. She turned her back on him and walked away from him. She wondered around the mansion when she heard Rams shouting. She walked to Meryll. "He is in a bad mood huh?", she said and she looked at the woman. "Are you alright?", she asked.
