I don't know if anyone is really familiar with the Bible, or whatever, but I have had an ongoing battle with myself since I can remember. Do you consider Tattoos a sin? Because in the old Testaments, which few people have read or even know anything about, it states::
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
Leviticus 19:28
I admit, I am a God fearing girl, I love the Lord and all that good stuff, (Please do not post something offensive, I would never try to push my religion on someone else, so I would appreciate if you would not say something to offend me about my religion.) I am devoted on becoming a tattoo artist, and I really REALLY would love to have a few tattoos, they are going to be pretty big, but I don't know. Some people so not follow the Old Testaments, but I think old or new, they are still part of the bible. But hey, people back then were marked for crimes, had nose piercings, I mean, come on, but I don't know, what do you think, sin, or not?

Well i personally dont read the bible or have read it. But i think it really depends on what YOU want to do. I mean if your really devoted on becoming a tattoo artist then i say go for it. But i mean if you feel that your doing a sin then i say you should go with whatever feels right to do. smile

apparentely it is a sin, so i laugh at those christians that go and get tatoos
but i also say that to believe in what you want to believe in, noone should be able to judge you based on what you choose to believe in and what you choose to do with your body

Ugh, that's the thing, I don't want to do that knowing it's against my religion. You know? Some things I just can't do, I'd go crazy with guilt, so I'm trying to keep my piercing to a minimum also. I'm addicted so to speak though. sweatdrop trouble.

I have not read the bible and do not practice religion of any sort. However, I have friends in various different religious groups and many of them have tattoos and piercings.
If you are that worried about it though you could always ask the pastor at your church. (Hope I got that right. Excuse my ignorance if not) I am sure he would be able to give you a much more educated opinion.

Yeah i think shes right. You shold ask him and im sure he'll tell you you a good answer. But if you want to do it by yourself i would say do what you want too. I mean your yourself and its your body. But thats just me

I am in the belief that God will forgive you, it is to my understanding all sins except suicide can be forgiven! I also believe in God but I do have 2 tattoos. Nor do I mean to sound hypocritical by believeing and having tattoos!
