He turned his head almost immediatly towards the door, shaking his head some. He folded his wings and stood to his full height, helping Kay up to his side. "Then we're getting out of here now." Moving his arms under her back and under her knees, he lifted her up and hurried from the room. "You'll get to experience something I can do to ditch a class whenever I want. Just hang on." Hearing a few men shouting orders, he came to an abrupt halt, kicking a door open that led through the office and towards the other side of the stairs. He felt the room grow cold as he rushed through, and he apologized slightly as ice froze over everything. "A bad thing, maybe? Then again...We won't get school for awhile." Kicking another door open, with quite a bit of force, he hugged Kay tighter against himself, setting her back down as he'd reached the stairs. "You go on up before me. Before everything turns to ice and you slip and fall. I can't...Exactly let that happen.."

Kay looked to Karu, and gave him a last quick hug before saying, "Please, be careful Karu." After glancing at his eyes one last time, she ran up the stairs. She could her ice cracking behind her as if it were trying to chase her. This caused her to run more. Halfway up to the top of the building, she heard more footsteps. The National Gaurdsmen were coming from the top. Soon, she was face to face with a Captian. "FREEZE!" He shouted at Kay. Kay looked down the stairs to see more ice traveling up towards them. Then, she felt hands close down on her. Five or Six men had seized her. She fought back, but they were all too strong. Appearing from the stairs came a camoflauged figure. Kay couldn't see his face until he stepped 10 stairs before her. "Patnar!" she snarled. "Kay, we meet again." He smirked at her as he stepped closer. "How I have longed to catch you, and it has now happened. Your parents were meddlesome fools, and it seems they passed it down to you. I think I should dispose of you, just as I had them!" He laughed eerily at this. Kay lowered her head and then suddenly jerked it up. Her eyes had become a silvery white with no pupils. Her eyebrows were crossed. "No..... NEVER!" she shouted. At that moment a gust of wind came out of nowhere. The men tried to hold on to Kay, but soon the flew back and against the wall next to the room of the main office. Kay looked back up at Patnar and flung her arms back. At this, her feet lifted off the ground causing another gust of wind. Patnar put his arms up to block it, but it was no use. He too, flew back against the wall, crushing a few of the men. Kay looked back down at them. The ice seemed to be surrounding them, and withing moments they were nothing but a solid block of ice. She breathed quickly and feel to her knees. Her anger had cause her to take much energy from her body.

Slowly, his figure started to form a few feet away from Kay, yet slowly, and as a shadow at this. Once he'd returned completely, he kneeled down and hugged Kay close. "I'm sorry...I didn't know they'd be up here.." Chanting something under his breath after feeling the ice starting to grow over his ankles, seeming as shackles, a growl escaped his lips. "I'm sorry this had to happen... I love you, Kay...I love you more than anything in the world." Regretting the spell he'd cast, he lowered his head slightly as he let go of her. Ice started to wrap around his legs now, shining some as sunlight filtered through; barely. "Close your eyes and you'll be fine." Holding a hand infront of himself some, he muttered something almost inaudible under his breath, a small shadow wrapping around the girl infront of him. "A way you can get out of trouble." A small, fragile smile came to his face as he raised his head up, feeling ice starting to freeze up on his arms. Within a quick moment, he'd become covered in ice; his body now just like the Guards and Patnar. He'd cast a spell that would teleport her outside within the shadows, and that wouldn't harm her at all. ----
His mind grew vague, only what seemed as a dream of himself falling vacant throughout his thoughts. The boy's eyes grew dull, and cloudy as the ice had engulfed his body. Emptyness... Death... Darkness... Happyness... Everything went blank for him, his skin growing an ill pale. A dormant demon lives inside of you, Karu...Unleash it and...You'll find your way back to her again...
His eyes shot open as she the ice cracked, shattering like glass. He took in ragged breaths now as he tilted his head down, a large ribbon-like swirl wrapping around him. A large roar broke the eerie silence, a large, shadow-like bird eclipsing the sun for a moment; the students who were all outside gazing at this. "Whoa..." A few of them whispered, some even terrified by the sudden appearance of a strange bird.

Kay's eyes filled with tears in the last glimpse she saw Karu. After landing soflty on the concrete outside, she realized that she liked teleporting much better. When Makarou would teleport her somehwhere, Kay wouldn't feel anything, she would just be there. But when Karu had transported her, it wasn't that comfortable. From the moment the shadows consumed Kay, she felt her head getting dizzy. So many things flashed before her. She felt like it would never end and just when she thought she'd throw up, her feet touched the ground. Kay stood up and looked around. No one was within the area, or at least where she was. Karu had transported her to the Math Classroom. Everyone, of course, was trying to keep safe in the gym, which was about 800 feet away. Feeling the sense of reality hit her, her eyes widened. "Karu!" she shouted. Kay burst open the door and looked around. The sun had been eclisped from a large shadow in the form of some type of bird. She gasped at the sight and felt a sharp jab in her chest. "Karu....where have you gone?"

Kyo stared up at the demonic bird, his eyes slightly flickering. "So that's what he's been hiding, huh? Why is this happening...? Why is Karu all of a sudden losing control of everythin-" His mouth hung open as he watched the sky cloud with darkness; clouds growing dark and lightning starting to strike, thunder echoing along the vast dark charcoal, deathly grey, and pitch black. "Karu...How are you doing all of this?" His tail swayed to his left, then right as he tugged on one of his ears. -- The bird let out a loud, annoying screech that echoed throughout the area. Lightning struck hard against the ground, thunder growling down at the school. With a faint glare evident in the bird's eyes, it opened it's beak, it's wings spread wide. If light had been shown upon the bird, anyone could've easily seen a boy with his head down, his arms pushed out; level with his shoulders. Large, feathery wings had also been apparent, the boy a dark shadow now at the eclipse the bird had made. "Karu!!" Kyo shouted, jumping from the tree he'd been in and running towards the bird. "Karu!"

Kay looked up at the gaint figure in the sky in awe. "What the hell is that thing?" she said to herself. Her brow was furrowed from trying to figure out what it was, but the sky was so dark she couldn't tell. She quickly ran towards the principal's office. She had to make sure that Karu was ok...that he was still alive. Why run when you can fly? Kay thought. Her lifted from ground with a small burst of wind. Wind trails followed behind her as she sped towards the principal's office. No one would even see her because they were all crowded and screaming in the gym, trying to run away from the strange occurences that had been going on. Once Kay had finally reached the hallway, she headed up the stairs. Her heart beated quickly at thinking about what she would see. Would there be blood splattered everywhere, with Karu's dead body near the wall? Would the army men be there, guns pointed at Karu? These thoughts raced through her mind until she finally reached the office. Nothing seemed very different. The men were still frozen, there was no blood, not even a sign of Karu. She thought for a moment, trying to figure out what was going on, when suddenly arms behind her closed on her wrists. She quickly broke from the grasp and spun around. The entire army was now here-in this hallway. Thousands of men were surrounding her-guns pointing at every joint in her body. "Get down on your knees and put your hands behind your head!" A familiar voice had said. She turned her head and saw Patnar. Some how, the rest of the men had melted the ice, and Patnar was smirking at her. "Funny, how the tables can turn so quickly.." he bellowed through the hallway. Kay's eyes were now flaring with anger. She had to decide quickly how to get out of this mess. She could use her powers, but then the whole government would be after her. No one really believed Patnar about her, but they followed his orders because he was such a bully. "I said, GET ON YOUR KNEES AND PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOU HEAD!" he shouted at her. He took something out of his pocket and pointed it at her. She didn't have time to figure out what it was. She suddenly felt as though a thousand knives were stabbing at every inch of her body. She let out a scream of pain and then fell to her knees. Patnar had used a tazer on her. "That's better..." he said, still smirking at her. Kay gasped for breath. Some how, Patnar had reprogramed the tazer to be at a higher voltage-dangerously high. Suddenly, a loud crack of thunder echoed through the halls followed by pouring rain. This made Patnar turn around. Slowly, Kay tried to stand up. Her legs and arms shook all over. Patnar whipped around again and saw her trying to get up. He took out the tazer and zapped her again. Kay screamed even louder again and fell on her face. Her breathing was short and soft. Patnar let out a large laugh. "THE MIGHTY KAY HAS FINALLY FALLEN! HOW I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS DAY." Again he laughed. Kay's eyes filled with tears as she tried to lift her face. She held out her hand some and tried to emit a flame, but not even a little bit of smoke came. Feeling this was her moment of death, she felt rage run through her. If she was going to die, it was going to be from fighting Patnar, not lying down in front of him. Slowly, she stood up, her energy fueled by determination and look Patnar straight in the eye. Patnar held his head up with his eyes wide. "Fine, I guess you want this death to be more painful. Thats ok, more fun for me." he reached in his jacket and pulled out a small gun and pointed it at her. His finger pulled on the trigger and a bullet came speeding towards Kay. She put her hands infront of her and a might 145 mile gust of wind came wooshing through the halls. The bullet was flung backwards against the wall. Suddenly the gust stopped, Kay fell to her knees, gasping. "Don't worry, I got plenty of bullets left.." Patnar said calmly, loading the gun again.

The strange bird-like creature let out a loud screech before beating its wings, flying up into the darkened storm clouds. Karu seemed to disappear slowly as his arms came back to his sides. Kyo stared up at the sight before him, his eyes wide with fear. "Karu..? Brother....Please...Don't go.." Hurrying quickly, Kyo phased through a few trees, hurrying towards the gym. Several gunshots went off in the back of the large hallway after Patnar had shot a round of bullets. Men screamed, as if for some reason something had terrified them completely. A lone figure pushed through the crowd, the area growing deathly cold. Even more men screamed, screeched, and sobbed at the pain they'd been recieving; yet hadn't known what had been terrorizing them like this. A few turned around quickly, pointing their guns towards the shoulder-length, crimson haired boy, who walked with even strides through the massive army. "You little snot! D-" The ten of them dropped their guns to the ground as strange, shadow-like creatures popped up from the ground, slashing furiously at the men. Karu himself knew how terrifying the pain of these shadows had been, for he had endured all of this at an earlier age of his life. After making his way from the door towards Patnar, who was now right infront of him, a small, demonic-like grin came to the boy's face. He tilted his head some, his maroon eyes flickering; glazing over as if a glare from sunlight and glass. Slowly, ice began to form around Patnar's legs, keeping them stuck to the ground. "You sure you want to do that? You sure you really want to kill her?" He walked around the one with the gun, small shadows slowly forming around Karu, a few small crow-like shadows appearing on his shoulder, hopping down onto his arm after he'd extended it some. "Have you ever felt the pain of a million knives sinking into your flesh and your heart?" He poked a finger to Patnar's chest; where his heart was. Small pins inserted themselve into his chest, a black coating to them. "Feeling that pain? That's not even nearly enough...Let's see..." Pulling his hand back, the crow hopped back up onto his shoulder. Small pieces of ice grew from his skin again as he poked a finger yet again to his chest. "You want to feel what you just did to the poor girl? I'll show you." He smiled, a large amount of pins penetrated through the man's flesh. Karu grinned as he took a few steps back, the crow fluttering over onto the old man's shoulder. It's eyes flickered into a sickening blood red, it's form changing into a strange creature with large claws. The ice had made it's way up towards his arms, suspending them at his sides. Turning around slowly, he knelt down to Kay, holding a hand out to her. "Kay..." His eyes grew gentle again as he looked to her, an ill pale complexion still on his face. "Kay...Can you get up..?"

Kay looked up into Karu's gentle eyes. "I, I don't know.." She seemed to get lost in his gaze. Kay flung her arms around Karu and whispered in his ear, "Thank you so much. You saved my life, I don't know how I will make it up." She stayed on her knees for a while. This was all she ever wanted. Just being in Karu's arms forever. No sooner had this feeling come than the door burst open from the principal's office. Makarou stood in the doorway, a shocked expression on her face. Kay jerked her arms from Karu and looked up at Makarou. Kay had a few burnt marks and blood scratches her and there all on her body. Makarou looked fine. " Bad time? I've been looking all around for you, Kay!" she smiled. "I'd say this was one day the school schedule didn't plan." Makarou's eyes turned to Karu and her face frowned. "You..." she said still glaring at him. Kay slowly tried to stand up, and with much effort had succeded. "Makarou, it's not what it looks like-" Kay had walked towards Makarou, a sweet smile on her face. "Makarou, he saved me. It wasn't him who caused this, it was Patnar.." Makarou then spun around, "Patnar? How-" she suddenly stopped and looked at the frozen solid ice figure. Inside was a wide eyed Patnar, and he looked like he was screaming. "I'm just glad I didn't lose another family member." Makarou said. She ran up to Kay and hugged her; a sisterly hug, of course.

(( I luff your avi. >w< Oh em gee...Writer's block. gonk ))
"I didn't quite save your l-" He stopped as Kay got up and walked over to Makarou. Shrugging softly to himself, he stood to his full height; his back facing the two girls. I didn't save her life...It was nothing like me to do anything like that...It was that demon laying dorment inside me.. His maroon eyes glazed over as he took a few steps forward, another of the strange crows hopping up onto his shoulder. He patted it gently before pushing the doors open, taking slow steps outside of the hall. "I'm not the hero of the day...I'm what caused all of this." He looked back at the school, seeing the eclipse of the sun still in effect, along with the clouds floating by. The ice along the school made him shudder, and retreat back away from the school even further. "I can't be here anymore. Everyone will find out and I'll be put to testing by scientists..." His eyes shone slightly as he turned back around, watching for any sign to stay. "If saving her is what Kay wants, I'll go off to train and become something better to save her."

"Karu, give yourself something. You did save me, I don't care who says otherwise." Kay told Karu as she broke the hug from Makarou. She walked over towards Karu and stared him in the eye. "You have to stay here. If one of us leaves, we won't survive." She smiled widely at him and put her hand on his shoulder. "Karu, I forgot to ask you something. Your friend, Kyo, is he, well...one of us?" Kay looked a bit uneased as if she had asked a personal question. But before Karu could say anything, Makarou quickly answered, "Yes..." Kay turned around, "Makarou! You're not supposed to go snooping around in other people's business!" she frowned. "I sensed something from them, so I had to see what it was." she paused for a moment and then looked at Karu. "Karu, I want to apologize. I misjudged you from the start, and I shoudn't have. Kay is right, you should stay here. United we are strong, apart we are nothing."
