Ever fancied making your own costumes, but didn't know how? Here I will post clothes patterns and some guide lines as to how to go about putting them together... If you have any requests or need any help, feel free to pm me.

Basic medieval hood

1. Scale up the pattern to the size you want.
2. Pin the paper patterns to your fabric.
3. Use some chalk/pencil (not a mechanical pencil) depending on the colour/type of fabric you're using, to draw around the shape of the paper pattern.
4. Cut the shape out of your sheet of fabric, leaving enough room for seam allowance.
5. Put the two pieces of fabric together, with the 'right' side of of the fabric on the inside.
6. Pin the two pieces of fabric to each other and sew them together along where the red lines are on the picture.
7. When you've finished sewing the pieces together, turn your hood inside out, so that the 'right' side is now visible, and all the stitching is on the inside out of sight. smile
