I know this is way too late, but if you're just concerned about covering a shaved head, I wouldn't sweat it. Of course, I am one of those ladies that finds it really to laugh at herself. I don't take anything too seriously.
I shaved my head a few months ago because I had gotten lice from my kids redface and didn't have anyone to help me with it. It was weird and embarrassing for the first two weeks. After that, I did get some strange looks and some little kids pointing, but I'd gotten so used to not having hair that I didn't think about it much.
Now I have a whole new problem-- my hair is growing in, but it sticks out unevenly in all directions and it is still too short for me to do anything about it. Mostly that's just funny though. rofl
