Raising his eyebrow Ontaros feigns concern "Is that so? Well I do apologize but your's defense leaves much to be desired. I'm willing to bet you solve all your fights through pure aggression don't you?" The wizard rolls his shoulders "Since you seem to be waiting for me for once, I'll not leave you in suspense." He takes off at a quick sprint and starts off with a jump kick, beginning to look just like Xi's first attack, but when he pulls back his left leg to begin the kick, he twists to the left and brings his right leg around to Xi's now exposed side, his attack aiming for the same spot as Xi.

The wizards attack landed squarely on Xi's temple and took him from his feet. He landed with a hard thud but quickly regained himself, rage showing in his eyes. No more games mage, TEMPORAL ACCELERATION! Xi was barely a blur as he regained his footing and began an all out offensive against his opponent, fully intent on bringing his claws to bare against the mans body in front of him. He had been humiliated, he would not stand for it.

Ontaros grinned as his next words fell from his mouth. "Break the chains that bind us...." Every attack that Xi let loose was met with equal force and mirror precision. Silver slammed over and over against bare knuckle, and Xi's greaves were haulted by cloth and flesh. Every attack except the last. A kick was allowed through at first but was caught by an open hand and with a quick turn, and the proper application of strenght, Xi once again lost his footing and found himself on the ground. Knowing Xi's anger would only further at this, as soon as Xi found the earth, a dozen or more spears spring from the ground, crossing tightly over Xi and restraining him where he lay.

Xi's teeth clenched and his nostrils flared, he was furious with Ontaros now. He struggled agains the polearms but was unable to break free. What the hell are you? Magic doesn't effect my people, but it was as if you were reading every one of my thoughts. That's not possible! And these spears should hold no weight here either, but I can't move! What have you done to me?!

Ontaros kneels next to Xi and nods "My magic has nothing to do with our fight. Your body movements are as easy to read as the signs in Narean. You're far too straight forward, your reckless and over confident. Fighting against a myriad of the mindless undead has left you vulnerable to anyone with a spark of intellegence. You have potential Xi, but you need to start using this..." He taps Xi on the forehead "Before those hands and feet start moving. The mind can go only as far as the body is able to carry it, but the body can only go as far as the mind can will. In balance we find power." Ontaros stands and begins to remove the spears from their binding position over Xi as he continues. "In combat, good instinct like yours will serve you very well, but instinct isn't everything. If you want to make it through this training, you'll need to open up and put your mind to use as well. I won't have you becoming coffin stuffing so easily...."

Xi watched the spears a moment after they'd been removed. So they weren't a spell? He picked up the spear and stressed it some until the wood started to crack under the pressure. He turned the spear over in his hand a few times. He couldn't believe it. Ontaros had found a loop hole around his curse. Red eyes move to the wizard a moment and then back to the spear. I completely underestimated you. I've underestimated all magic users so far. I thought that I had a huge advantage against you, but as it turns out, it's not much of a leg up after all... He tosses the spear aside before he starts dusting himself off. You knew about my magic defense and you immediately found a way around it. However I can not find away around your defense despite myself. Maybe there is something to what you're saying after all...
