Lack of fun
Since the birth of Ceres, Inuki has been as serious as possible to help the gorgone, who had a thing for depressed thoughts, to feel safe and secure. At the time, she thought it was the best solution.
However, when Elazul came out of his own egg, things changed.
On one side, you had the beautiful but sometimes depressive Ceres. On the other side, you had this jumi boy with a straight face which nothing could disturb.
Though both of them possessed a heart of gold (she could already tell by Elazul's attitude that he was a serious boy with a big heart in a few days), both kids needed to lighten up. Inuki, who has been very busy lately, needed fun as well to change the pace of things.
"Ok, kids. We're going out," she told them one morning during breakfast.
Ceres smiled at the thought of a nice relaxing walk with her mother and new brother but Elazul just continued to eat calmly.
"Where are we going?" asked Ceres.
"To the mysterian's house. You need to meet more people. We can also take the long road to enjoy the sun," explained Inuki. And being around so many different and troublesome mysterians, I know I am bound to have my load of fun, she thought to herself.
Elazul sipped the rest of the milk in his cereal bowl and licked his lips. "I'm not going anywhere unless we go back to my homeworld," he said.
"We can't go back now. You're too young and Ceres can't protect you all by herself yet."
"I don't care," said the jumi boy. "I need to search for others of my kind."
Ceres didn't know what to say so she kept her mouth shut. But she wished she could help her brother at the moment.
"Listen, it is too dangerous to go. Besides, if we ask about your kind to the others, maybe someone will give us some information," said Inuki.
"That's right," continued Ceres. "There is so many others. Maybe one of them know about the whereabouts of one of them or what they became."
Elazul looked at them, shifting his gaze to Inuki then Ceres then to Inuki again. "Fine. But I hope you're not saying this just to make me go."
"Of course not!" said Inuki at once. "Now get your things. We're leaving soon."
She watched them get up, rinse their dishes and go to their rooms. She sighed. That jumi boy is much more intelligent than he seems. He is going to be such a troublemaker I know it....
