Matanago This question's been kinda haunting me like a little kid trying to grasp the Trinity: How do you decide taking a hit and the limits of your characters? Is it just a personal decision to get hurt for the sake entertainment? See: Vahn

themightyjello Yeah, but that "I break ur ankle", "no I twist ur knee" -fest with Hugin was just a pain. No blows, just twisting and groaning. Might as well strip and call yourselves Spartans. Lol that s**t was all HIM. Cause when I put him in something he did some complex acrobatic movement to get out of it.. I didn't want to argue so I just let him do it. And to punish him I refused to fall prey to anything he came up with. I dominated that match.

Matanago How do you decide taking a hit and the limits of your characters? Being fair. Oh and also realizing that one hit isn't the end of the fight.

Is it just a personal decision to get hurt for the sake entertainment? See: Vahn Also see: The Goddamn Vahn Other notes: Generally assume that no character is inherently more awesome than another unless that characters has ONE stat that everything is concentrated on. Like the Hulk is totally stronger than most other people, but Spiderman is a pretty rounded character design. Unless you're running a plot thing, in an actual vs. fight you should generally assume a basic level of a balance between character stats. Get hit when it seems appropriate to do so. When it seems awesome. When you feel like it. If you've got to come up with some big explanation for how you manage to escape in the nick of time only to counter explosively then you're stretching. However, if you can do something simple, understandable, and logical that would dodge/block/counter, then that's an option, too.

Just do the whole fight joined at the fist.

So if someone's an a** about it, would people escalate to match or just say 'fail at you' and go away?

Mr. Crawley themightyjello Just do the whole fight joined at the fist. He would've triple flip cartwheeled backhandspring toe touch moonwalked out of the shoelaces. Just twist his arm mid-moonsault and sweep the leg on landing to drop him into a face-down armbar. edit: I read 'moonsault', not 'moonwalk'.

themightyjello Kichiro Oda Somebody? That Maxis guy? He's not dead anymore. And I still have his family heirloom that I took before he died when the stadium went up during the Providence incident... He's going to have to fight me for it. Grim Reaper vs. Grim Reaper style. Quote: My fingers threw up. O_O ...Ryugi Kazamaru... That guy. With all the void, super power, swordsman crazy stuff. Example: Last year Ryugi vs. Maxi consisted of Maxi holding Ryugi up by his ankle and attempting to cut his head off. That was the entire fight. Oh okay. I must have him confused with someone else. Is your Grim Reaper going to be at the HoH? I don't think I've ever seen one. @Ryugi. Yeah, I think it's just that there were so many... or like I am saying to Josh, that I had you confused with someone else.

Matanago So if someone's an a** about it, would people escalate to match or just say 'fail at you' and go away? Depends on the person. If I'm frustrated then I'll usually start to do cheap things too. For some people it becomes liek home territory.. but for others it's a wake up call.. (but not really cause then it just keeps escalating until someone finally complains)..

Kichiro Oda Is your Grim Reaper going to be at the HoH? I don't think I've ever seen one. Joshua and Maximos, team a** Tear. Joshua is annoying Death at Shadow Island in a cartoonish way. The Reapers (Reaper Drone, Reaper Corps, Assassin Reapers, etc.) are a thing Maxi and I have been working on for years; we decided to colab. on it shortly before the Providence incident, and as soon as I get some time away from classes and other s**t I need to fill out that thread in the BB. Despite that I hadn't heard of Bleach when I started working on it, it closely resembles the Shinigami/Soul Society thing.

I decide to get hit when I don't think I can/don't feel like thinking up a way to block/dodge something.
Also, I think getting beat up is more fun.
