Yeah, I know that too. But I've searched from vague 'anime guy' to more specific by looking up names and adding more adjectives, removing other words in the search, trying them individually and sifting through pages of pictures... Bleh. XP

Yeah, it's annoying.. I just find one similar to what I want, and adjust the hair color and eyes to what I want. XP

I do what Tsuki does, though I usually go one simpler and just adjust my character a little bit to fit the picture razz
Sometimes I'll just add in a brief description saying what is different about my character.
