euclids_triangle What kind of phones are y'all using??? The ones I've seen have crappy photo ability... A Nokia N95 has a 5 megapixel camera... most phones on the market now follow suit... there's a 7 megapixel one out from someone. And much as I like film cameras, they're a pain in the arse by comparison.

I love film cameras. Digital may be easier but it is in no way better with regards to quality or effect. True black and white photos, printed in the dark room, are by far superior (to me at least) and there is no way, no matter how good anyone is at photoshop, that you can ever create the same effect as a black adn white print to that quality. I do like digital, but I prefer black and white film, because to me, photography is about printing the photo and displaying it, as well as just taking the photo, and digital is nowhere near as much fun xd

My brother uses a SONY DSC-H2 and gets some pretty decent pics out of it... He won at the fair recently with a really nice, clear photo of a Robber Fly. He's got it on his dA, but it looks soooooo much better when they blew the pic up and printed it out...
I think there's a kind of nostalgia with me and film... I like film, but was never good at getting a decent pic with it. xd That might have just been me and my non-focusing cameras, though.
School's started back for everyone?

yeah, school started back for me mid august. I'm worrying about midterms by now XD
I must admit that I thought this southern lit on film class would be cool. It's not. I can't say that I enjoy it at all. Never another film class. just not my thing.
how goes it for everybody?

in the flicker. yeah, school started back for me mid august. I'm worrying about midterms by now XD I must admit that I thought this southern lit on film class would be cool. It's not. I can't say that I enjoy it at all. Never another film class. just not my thing. how goes it for everybody? film as in photography film? not video? I love it! and what's a robber fly? sweatdrop

He's really lessened the resolution and detail on the version he put up on dA... I was amazed at all the little leg hairs I could see in the print. @Kirio: Awwww. That stinks! I'm in an Intro to Literature class right now... Most of it is stuff I had in Comp II... which stinks... But at the same time, I can answer most of the questions pretty easily. biggrin

I've only ever done a video class in how to actually film programmes, which was quite fun. I loved editing.

clay is basically a fun medium, I think, but I definitely suck at it. I mean, I love to make stuff with it, but it's hard to make it look not fifth-grade-art-class.
What do you think of wood carving? I happen to like that, too, but it's hard, too. I stick to soap XD

Actually... I suck at carving. rofl I always cut off too much. lol. Chainsaw art done well just makes me stand there in awe. lol. It's like... painting with a sledgehammer to me. xd
Clay is so much fun... Loooooove hand building with clay. The wheel isn't so much fun, but that might just be because I don't really know what to do with it other than pots and bowls and cups and plates and stuff. ._.
