Terry got hit by the first building and let out a grunt of pain, and then lay as flat as he could on the beast's back to avoid further injury. Alright, now he just had to get to its ears...

The creature let out another frustrated screech. It dipped away from the buildings a moment, then thrust itself towards them, trying to smash the human off of him.
Warp soon stopped inside an abandoned building and sat Alex and Rosie down. He moved Shadow towards a fairly clean spot on the floor and laid her down. He moved a hand towards her burned chest and used his powers to try and speed up her healing process. His other hand went to work on gently taking the cards out of her.
Alex watched Warp a moment, but decided he could take care of Shadow. At least as much as he could. She turned her attention towards the small girl in her arms. A very worried and...fairly hurt expression on her little face.

Terry gasped and went temporarily limp, stunned. It was all he could do to hang onto the thing. He recovered the next moment, though. With a growl, he lunged forward and grabbed the creature's ears. A split second later, the electricity kicked in.

The creature let out an almost ear splitting screech and jerked back in the middle of flight, simply out of pain. The sudden stop in flight caused gravity to take effect and the creature began to fall towards the ground.

Under normal circumstances, Terry might have done something to save it. These were, however, anything but normal circumstances; that creature was only a magical construct. As such, he simply checked to make sure that the street beneath it was clear, and then brought his rocket boots up... so that he could push on the creature's back and add to its downward momentum.

The ceature screeched, and tried to pull itself out of it's fall. But with the human pushing on it's back. It couldn't get enough support to break it's fall. The creature soon smashed into the street below, and almost instantly exploded into it's original form. Dozens of bats.
Unfortunately...each bat's eyes were still red. And they all turned their attention back onto the human.
// Sorry. xp Couldn't make it that easy. //

Batman's eyes widened. "Oh, HELL no," he muttered. I really, REALLY HATE magic, he thought venomously, and then shot off into the sky again... and off towards Gotham bay.

The bats all followed the human in a small swarm. A few bats broke away though and began fluttering around the streets to try and pick up the scent of blood again. The females were their intended target after all.

Batman zipped over the bay, a breathing apparatus automatically humming out from his shoulders to cover his mouth and nose, and then shot down into the water... trying very hard not to think about what kind of stuff was probably floating around next to him.
((HA! Warp's already stopped the bleeding, you evil MAGIC BATS!!! HA!!!!))

The bats followed as far as the water, then swarmed and hovered over it. Unfortunately, they couldn't follow him any farther than the surface. They flew around there for a moment to wait for him to surface. When he didn't, half of the swarm began to fly back towards the city to search for their target again. The other half stayed in case the bat did surface.

((Aw, man! I was about to get all of them!))
Suddenly, a gigantic upward splash of water soaked all the remaining bats. The next second, electricity shot through the spray with eager fingers.

// *shrug* whoops. whee //
A few of the bats near enough to not get caught in the attack watched as the other half of them screeched out in pain, then began to drop with the water back down into the bay. None of them moved afterwards.
The bats screeched angrily and zipped off into the city and spread out to find the females.

Terry flew up out of the water and watched them leave. Right... Now what? He didn't know where Warp and Alex had taken Rosie and the woman, and even if he had known, finding them to check in wasn't an option as long as there was the possibility of those bats following him. He couldn't go back to the cave for the same reason... And let's face it, I don't really belong there at this point, do I? After a minute or two, he decided to just go on patrol. It always helped him think, and there wasn't much else he could do.
