Since the guild seems to be dead (again...) I'm going to talk about anime.
:SHOKKU!:
So, my Genshiken vol. 1+box came in the mail yesterday. I hadn't even realized that it had finally been released until just a few days ago. God, what a great show. You spend half your time laughing at and with these poor otaku, and the other half wincing, thinking that you're just a little bit too much like them. The fact that they included Kujibiki Unbalance ep. 1 was awesome as well.
As for the dub, well... it's kind of a mixed bag. On the whole, the voices were not what I consider all that well done. A lot of emotion seemed to get lost or misplaced in the dubbing process. The notable exception was Rachel Lillis, who did an excellent job as Ohno. I'm now convinced that she's the absolute best choice to voice Sakura for the Naruto dub.
Erm... thus endeth the sermon.

Spider_Jerusalem MahouTragicQueen Yes because I don't see how the two are similar. Post-feminists call themselves feminists, American kids with no comprehension of what the word otaku means use it to describe themselves, white kids call each other "the N word". How's that? No, there are two definitions of the word. Quote: fem?i?nism ( P ) Pronunciation Key (fm-nzm) n. 1. Belief in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes. 2. The movement organized around this belief. You are saying that just because they came after the feminist movement, they can't believe in the equality of the sexes?

MahouTragicQueen You are saying that just because they came after the feminist movement, they can't believe in the equality of the sexes? No. It's a seperate movement, it's not to be taken literally. There are still feminists and there are post modern feminists and all sorts of other things, but this phenomenon is called post-feminism.

Yes, well, Clara woke up one day and decided to read more literature. And since she doesn't like coming out of her box too much, she now wants to read Russian literature.
Therefore, she commands you to reccomend good Russian literature to her. Like, classics and stuff. Because she trusts you bitches. The end. scream
