Ami Sapphire Went waaaay back at the beginning of my old Yahoo! Mail inbox... found my Welcome to Gaia Online email, complete with PLAIN TEXT PASSWORD! lol (since changed) Gaia Online no longer sends plain text passwords through email anymore. It was actually a phpBB2 behavior which the Gaia Staff had to change themselves, and for a very good reason. [Sis still has her 2008 Welcome to Gaia Online email, and it's pretty funny; some semblance of HTML present. Mine was just composed entirely of text.] * plain-text pw registration mail stopped in 2008 * plain-text pw forgot password mail stopped in 2009 or 2010, possibly wow really? xD That's awesome. I used to have a plain text password too. :p

Glad that's over! I felt super nervous leading up to the speech, but I felt pretty calm during it c: And I did well too, though I was criticized for lack of movement. Well what the heck am I supposed to do with my hands? I don't talk with my hands...

MasturChef Glad that's over! I felt super nervous leading up to the speech, but I felt pretty calm during it c: And I did well too, though I was criticized for lack of movement. Well what the heck am I supposed to do with my hands? I don't talk with my hands... They do that a lot, too! I think in one speech, I got criticized for being too stiff. I mean, I know I must have moved because I'm not dead yet, but... yeah. Stiff. I'm like, "Prof, I like your class, and you're cool and all, but I HATE TALKING IN FRONT OF PEOPLE, MAN! (Luckily [or unlucky], I had to take the accelerated Speech class since all the day classes were full. Classes were Friday nights from 5:30 to 8 PM, if I remember. Cue me enjoying the class while the day people HATED THEIR PROFESSORS.) But yeah, I think you're mostly nervous when you know you're going to present, but they mostly go away when you do the deed. (I don't know, I'm not a shrink, I'm just guessin'.)

I'm giving a speech, not doing interpretive dance! And yeah, I'm almost a nervous wreck when I know I have to give a speech, but I've managed to keep myself relatively calm this time around.

So guys, I'm finally watching the rest of MLP. I watched the first 14 episodes or so a year or two ago. But I stopped, forget why, don't care. I'm on Season 2: Episode 5. Discord! heart heart heart emotion_bigheart emotion_bigheart emotion_kirakira gaia_diamond

So my niece has a huge dilemma on her hands. Last May she wanted to attend Rose Hulman or Georgia Tech. Then as summer went along she added Vilanova to the list. Then more time passed along and she added MIT to her list. She wants to be an engineer and study abroad. First she was accepted to Rose Hulman and she was happy but was holding out for Georgia Tech. Then MIT said not right now but we'll put you on our list. Then she got the letter she wanted from Georgia Tech. She was all set to say yes to Georgia Tech but wanted to hear from Vilanova to be on the safe side. So Vilanova said yes but she still wanted to go to Georgia Tech because MIT said not right now.
On Thursday March 14, 2013 a letter from MIT arrived at her house saying she was off the list and accepted to their engineering program. Three of the top engineering schools in the nation want my niece to study with them and she doesn't know what she's going to do. Rose Hulman is in the Middle of Nowhere, Indiana while Georgia Tech is in the middle of Atlanta. She really wanted to go to Georgia Tech because she thought MIT wasn't going to have the space for her. Now the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass wants her to study with them. Her top two dream schools both want her to study with them and I think not getting the President's Scholarship to Georgia Tech is going to weigh heavily into the final decision. Talk about your dilemmas to have. xp
