Gho the Girl Hey theists, everywhere: Apparently, we're all Schizophrenic. Thank God bigoted stupidity in the M&R doesn't actually bear weight. Actually, you know, I think it could be applicable to me somehow, you know, with all that faith jumping... xd

Byaggha Gho the Girl Hey theists, everywhere: Apparently, we're all Schizophrenic. Which means what, exactly, for agnostics? We may or may not be schizophrenic, depending on how our personal beliefs bear out? Sounds shifty to me. 3nodding Man I would hate to see those ******** meet a theist who actually has schizophrenia. Then their ableism would really get ******** up.

Totally unrelated to the previous ableist statements, but BAHAHAHA. Today is the best day ever on these forums.
In M&R, Barry has claimed that if it doesn't harken to ancient Greece, it isn't philosophy, and I've been dubbed a troll in Supernatural - though that second one was probably by an actual troll. xd
Amusement abounds!

Byaggha ...In M&R, Barry has claimed that if it doesn't harken to ancient Greece, it isn't philosophy, ... Honestly though, this seems pretty consistent with what I encountered at Ohio Dominican University. Their philosophy and politics departments are very quick to discount anything they can't tie down to Ancient Greece. It's pretty gross. I'm hoping it's not something endemic to the RCC; even though ODU is a Dominican school, they're pretty Protestant in their doctrine, and so far from what I can see of Barry/Sartre, he is as well. His encounter with Noora a while ago was pretty... amusing. So essentially he seems pretty consistent in that with my Catholic university - but since both seem to be inconsistent with Catechism, etc, I don't know what to think. biggrin

Barry is a putz, so I don't put stock in anything he says. Period. And besides, the claim is patently absurd. The WORD is Greek, sure, but that doesn't mean the whole of thought is. xd
Also, YES. Yes yes YES! I love you, Britain. A mere few months after The Lancet pulled Wakefield's 'study' about MMR/Autism linkage on grounds of it being unethical (charges included him paying kids at one of his child's birthday parties for blood samples, among other gems), now the UK medical board is yanking his license!
Scoooore!

Also: HOLY ******** I love Raymond Swanland's art! Shits McGee, he's done so much work for MtG, a game I love, and looking at his website (finally) wow do I dig his style!
If somehow at all possible, I'd like my tattoo to be from a piece by him. Holy crap if I could get a piece like he draws . . . *drrroooool*

~huggles~ Is it bad that I rarely find accusations of insanity as insulting as accusations of sanity?

I'm holding together. Looking at the positives. And there's a lot. Things were getting really bad and we ended on a better note than we could have. And the relationship itself helped me grow and made me better, helped me love myself and trust others again.
Still. It's a little hurty sometimes and the loneliness is rough. It really is for real now. We'll be going our separate ways.
Timing was kinda ******** though...

It's interesting to discuss religion with my clients, though I have to be careful given their finding out I'm not an expected religion could cause a rupture in the relationship.

Religion can provide a very strong network of stability. I wonder if that's why the correlation exists? I know Etherism has been a huge boon in getting me through my depression.
