^thanks for the Heads Up...
so you won't have to go through too much trouble whenever you log back on:
We've been discussing: The Bannings/Mass Sortings (I'm not sure if you've odne Slytherin's or not) The End of Term event which starts tomorrow. I'll set up for it now. (Love is doing the Great Hall thread and there'll be a game that Movie (Slytherin) will be hosting for us, and then there will be a secret giver thing.
Juni's been visiting her "love" so she hasn't been on for a week or so, and Alutian's been busy with school.

Right, I have not done Slytherin's bannings. I tohught I expressed this already, but I'm going to do my lists at the end of the month so they're accurate and only ban those who have been inactive for 3 or more months, and continue with that. As for mass sortings, well, those to my knowledge won't start untill the first of next month, and when that occurs I will sort and deal with those that are placed in Slytherin at that time I suppose.
The end of term event: I guess that means survivor is being put on hold...there really should have been some sort of notification to the players besides a sudden thread moving, so I will handle that along with when I update the log thread and tell them who they voted off. That will be later tonight when I get back from school.
Juni's and Alutian: Visiting boyfriends, cool, which reminds me I won't be online from March 20-30 but I plan to have the threads made and ready to be moved to the event subforum for survivor on specific dates, so maybe I can ask Miss Love to do that for me since she is playing as well? Also, as you may or may not have noticed, I am currently in the last few weeks of my school term. Lots of intense projects and exams. So if I'm not 100% caught up on things, forgive me.

No! I'm sorry for the confusion. Survivor isn't being put on hold, it's just being played somewhere else. Adonis made an announcement in the Hall already (while the threads were being moved). Everything else in that place should be done for now. I just got off work and I haven't been home since 6 a.m... (weird the first thing I do is get on Gaia, and I have a phone to one ear). So I was not able to get the end of term event together. NOr was I able to even start on the calendar. That means that the new term probably won't start until April which is sweet because it can roll along with Easter or some other spring holiday so we can have a start of term event again. Too many things to do in too few days so my mind is really spinning... First thing's first mass sorting... (PS with the house bannings, it really doesn't phase me too much unless it gets to the point where we in a new term and nothing has happened...which was the case this time around)
No sweat. Looks like a bunch of us will be gone. I'll be gone starting this Saturday until next Thursday, unless I can steal a friend's laptop or something. I don't even want to think about hte kind of tests I have to go through these next 3 months. I think I'll quit my job. It won't work. Or take a hiatus from Gaia but that won't happen either because I'm addicted.

Since the only thing I have tomorrow after school right now is tennis practice (which can be canceled because of weather *fingers crossed*) then I really am hoping that i'll have an hour (after a long needed nap and back homework to do) to spare to get that event up and whatever it is I'm supposed to do with the PMs which people have thankfully helped me with. THat reminds me of the newbies which won't be dealt with until tomorrow. I'm really hoping I can get this stuff done before Friday because that's the day I have to pack.
Oh yeah you guys might can see Icee on the Today Show sometime next week. I can't remember the day

Icee in the Today Show?! What day and what time? I'm wondering if I have classes that day. Anywho, just letting everyone know that the idea everyone had in teh Around Hogwarts S.F.Q (a few pages back) can definitely be done.
If you haven't been following on what's going on there, we had an idea to have a sort of Hogwarts Map for all the links embedded in that one picture. I'm telling you now that i have found a way to make it happen and tested it. It really works...sorry...can't seem to contain my happiness.
The only thing now is to have an actual map and some button images to make it work. So we still on with it?

*hops on one foot* Lovely, maybe I should ask around for people who want to create a map for us or just ask Alutian.
I'm playing around with it, but it seems that every time I click on an embedded link, it goes to the warning page and ((click the link)) it goes on to the actual link....should be alright, we should just inform people that the links are completely safe to click. I'm off to do some more tinkering with it.

Can house elves post in the Great Hall for the event subforum? I wasn't too sure after reading Professor Adonis's post, and I didn't want to just hop in and have some innocent student be like "I didn't know we had house elves at Hogwarts!" or something equally awful. wink
Should I wait until I've been sorted? Or just stay out of there until next term?

House Elves are always welcome to post in the Great Hall. The End of Term celebration is open to everyone. Although, I wouldn't bet on being picked on for being an elf. At some point in time, most of us who are sorted now have been house elves and understand the obstacles to get to be a student. If any one bullies a House Elf, they answer to the mods.

As of now, I don't think there's such a position available yet. In the future perhaps, but we're still fixated on the End of Term to discuss this issue. Usually the positions are given to those who contribute and help the guild greatly, but its given to those who do not ask for it, but earn it.

Sine Green how do u get to head boy/girl status? Technically we don't have a Head boy/girl status. Instead, we have a Deputy Head status which is above Prefect but under Head of House. This status bears the closest resemblance to Head boy/girl, however in the moment the Head of House dissapears or must step down for any reason, the Deputy Head will take over his or her duties as Head of House.
If you want this, you'll have to show the Heads what you're made of. As Love said, you gotta earn it.
