True Colours of Destiny Byaggha So, thanks to the Olympics, I have discovered I have a really stupid level of patriotism. At least when it comes to hockey. I still want one of those Team Canada jerseys. I think Canada in general does. I was in our Student Life Centre, watching with the newspaper crew and the entire building was screaming when Canada won that match. My house erupted when Crosby scored, I'm surprised the foundation isn't cracked. My throat is still sore.

Gho the Girl Byaggha So, thanks to the Olympics, I have discovered I have a really stupid level of patriotism. At least when it comes to hockey. I still want one of those Team Canada jerseys. What we found was a profound interest in curling. Not that we'd ever play, but it's actually a very well rounded sport. It requires athleticism, finesse, strategy, all in near equal measure to do well. So sad that our American team did so poorly. My mom felt the same way this year. She'd never really cared for the sport before, but this year's teams made her watch. I blame Norway's pants, myself. 3nodding

We started watching to make fun but then got mesmerized by all the tight bottoms and completely flexible frames. I mean gosh. Beautiful ladies. Dashing men. Is it just this year or are they always this fine?

When great Britan got the gold for the skelton luge, my whole house erupted! Over the next 3 days I have 18 hours of lab time to complete a piece of coursework. -_-

Russia: Eveni Plushenko not quite getting that four turns + a shaky landing = three turns +a perfect landing = fair. They're honestly accusing us of being preferential to Americans.... Preferential. To. Americans. I don't know if this is a big secret or something, but let me put it this way, my mother spent a good part of the Olympics praying that Americans in various sports would screw up. She is not alone in this. I can't imagine how we would be preferential to Americans when we spend so much time complaining how their referees just can't stand to see us win in hockey. Britain: Their journalists suck. They are the collective city council of the Municipality of Nofunnington. If someone is having fun, they will be sure to ruin it.

Nuri, today in my History of Islamic Civilizations class we listened to this and it made me think of your love of women chanting smile Also, I know I haven't been so active on here lately, but some stuff has come up in classes recently that makes me want to thank the people here for how much I've learned from you. Beyond just the general being more critical of what I'm reading and thinking more. Specifically that I think I'm the only one on my entire campus who knows anything about Zoroastrianism, and professors from two of my classes where it has come up seemed to be very impressed by this. Second, I used the term "signism" today on a test essay, which I believe was coined by Tea ages ago, to explain the dangers of populist fortune telling in the modern world. So yeah, you guys kinda rock my world! heart
