Hawk nods at Markis as he went to tree and entered the world of dreams. Now another one to worry about. He stay to Merc and for a moment frustration jolted into the void. He would tore open a gate to Shayol Ghoul itself and fight anything he can see and the darkness minions that he senses to aid her at any rate of time, but when it comes to dreaming its her own territory. He cant do anything but to comfort her and wait for to be awaken.

Vancelle found herself gliding back toward her room intent on seeing Katerine. Although she didn't show it, she was irked by Katerine's ever chaning mood.

How am I supposed to talk to the woman if she is never in the same place at once? First one of the novices said they saw her down by the training yard. Then another said she was up by the Keeper's Quarters. I go to both and still I do not find her. Where in the Light as she gone!

Vancelle's step had quickened and it was only a few more minutes before she was entering the Blue Ajah's Quarters. Her fellow sisters called hello and congratulations, all of which were replied with a nod and smile. For the moment, her rise to the Mistress of Novices was the farthest thing from her mind. Vancelle knew how Katerine was and didn't want to miss her when she could. They had never even sat down properly and spoken together!

A small look of discontent crossed her face which was quickly erased as she came abroad of Katerine's door. Knocking lightly she heard no call in response, something that wasn't uncommon when Katerine was there or not, and opened the door. Looking around she could find no trace of the other woman and turned around with a huff. Under her breath with burning eyes, Vancelle cursed the woman who was impulsive yet her friend.

"She has no regard for other people. She knew that I wanted to talk to her, but I can't seem to find her."

Walking back toward her room, one of the other blues made a comment about seeing Katerine rushing out with her saddlebags. This simply added to the agitation that Vancelle felt over her friend and her heavy oak door slammed shut on her heels. The other Blue sisters turned at the noise and most just shrugged thier shoulders and continued with their converstation.

Vancelle on the other hand was fuming. She had told Katerine not to leave because she wanted to speak with her.

"So much good it did telling her to stay. I swear that woman has become more unstable as the years have passed. I can't even predict her anymore. She's like some Illuminator's firework; it looks pretty and colorful when it blows up, but until it does, no one knows what it is going to look like or do."

"And you....you're the first person to see this side of me in a long time. The first one I've let see behind the mask..."

((sorry it's short but quarter finals are coming *gasp!* so not much time...))

((WOW! Short is right! Lol. Is okay. I'll do the same so you don't feel bad.))

Yurin showed a sense of chivalry with only a slight hint of humor in his elaborately etched bow that could've rivaled any Gleeman.

"I am honored that you would offer such a gift to me. I don't care too much for masks. I only act like someone I'm not when ordered to, or in the most desperate of occasions. Otherwise, what you see, is what you get."

Smiling, he showed that he meant no criticism for her doing so. It was merely an observation of himself.

((I'm reeeeeaally sorry, Mog, dear, but my post will have to be post poned until Saturday. I'm REALLY busy and I'm lucky I'm getting to warn you...if you want to take my character and wander somewhere else, that's ok....see ya when I can *sigh*))

ooc|I'm alive! Kinda.....Sorry for the disappearance. I hate school, I really do. But no school Monday ot Tuesday! Yay^^! Our state is trying to conserve fuel because of Rita.

ic|Nariah scowled at him, and looked as if she was about to stick her tongue out at him. But she halted herself at the last moment. It would have been an extremely shildish thing of her to do. And it wouldn't help matters anyway. And at his atempt at humor, he only made her scowl deepen. "I have already given my word I would come with the two of you. I wouldn't sully my honor by trying to get away." she told him, watching him as he collected some of his Aes Seadi's things.

Kali watched with slight amusement. Until she noticed the movement of a few of her things and mummered a thanks in the direction of Wes. It was time to get moving.

"Well lets get going. No time to spare." She said softly, shooting a pointed look at the woman.

(Sorry so short college/highschool/the need to get a job has been consuming my life)

Wes almost smiled at the look from the young Wolfsister, and simply nodded at Kali's thanks, looking at her with a look saying that she knew no thanks was needed. As the last thing was secured into place on a small strand of Air, he turned to Nariah. "Kali Sedai is correct, it is time to be going. Are you going to ride Asha'man or not?" He asked, not impatiently, but in a tone that brooked no nonsense and required an answer fairly quickly. They really had fooled around too long.

Yeah, i'm alive too, and will be much more available when this month is over...

Gray walks into the kitchens to report for her last dish duty of the day.

Hmph, last dish duty, there's still the gardening, and some laundry for the Infirmery to do....Will it never end?!

Gray pushes up the sleeves of her white novice dress and plunges her arms into the greasy tepid dishwater. She fishes around for the scrubbing pad in the murky water and gets to work on cleaning the large soup cauldrons resting in the water. She looks around the kitchen for a moment, to see if there are any other novices, Accepted, or Aes Sedai in the large room. When she is satisfied that there is no one else in the room who can channel, she opens herself to the Source and weaves a thin thread of fire to warm up the dish water.

No sense in scrubbing with this cooler water. It won't help get the grease off at all.

She gets to work on her chore, every once and a while glancing around the room. She has spotted her quarry and starts planning how to get it without anyone finding out.

When the Mistress of the Kitchens is satisfied with Gray's work, Gray sets her plan into action.

((*cues Mission Impossible Theme*))

Gray takes out four thin strips of white cloth from her belt pouch. Taking one more glance around, she begins weaving two strands of air and reaches them out over to the long table next to her. Near the end she is walking to are the bottles of wine to be set out for the Aes Sedai, and the watered down bottle of wine for the Accepted. Green glass for the Accepted, blue glass for the Aes Sedai. She sets the strands onto two blue bottles near the edge of the table closest to her. As she passes by them, she pauses for a moment to kneel down and check her slippers. As she moves down, she moves the bottles down with her and hides them under her skirts. She walks out of the kitchen, holding the bottles in the air under her skirts just long enough for her to turn the corner. There she gently lets them down to the floor and she quickly releases the Source. She bends down once more to tie the bottles to her legs with the strips of cloth, which should just hold them long enough to get to the novice quarters.

Now, there aren't too many places to hide things in a novice's quarters, and Gray knows this. She goes over to the stretch of unoccupied rooms and walks into one of the ones near the middle. She closes the door and starts untying the bottles just as one starts to slip. She places the two bottles carefully in the back corner of the foot trunk and with that she leaves the room.

Well, now that that's done, off to the gardens to start weeding...again.

(( sweatdrop Well, that's what I've got so far...What could Gray be up to now? Find out next time on "All the Days of Our Novice Lives" whee ))

Gray pokes her head out of the room to see if anyone's in the hallway. Seeing no one around, she walks out of the room and starts down the hall to go to her next duty. She's almost out of the Novice quarters when another Novice moves quickly to catch up to her.

"Gray! Did you get it? Do you have the...you know."

Gray sighs. It takes some people a long time to learn the art of subtlty. Some never seem to learn.

"Yes, Daria, I got two of them. And they are safely hidden. And no, I will not tell you where."

The slightly younger novice deflates visibly and Gray smiles warmly at her.

"Hey, don't worry, someone in our group is bound to get raised soon. Light, we've all been here long enough, and we've all progressed to a good level of use of the One Power. Once one of us get's raised, we'll all have a nice celebration. I will have to get a couple more though."

"How exactly did you get the bottle out of the kitchens? I mean, using the One Power for that would have surely gotten you caught."

Gray grins widly, "You wouldn't believe what you can hide under these skirts. I would love to decribe it in detail with you, but I have to run to the gardens for some weeding. We'll talk later."

With that Gray takes off towards the gardens. She does not exactly run, but she moves with haste.

((recap time!))

Since we last left Gray, she has made friends with a few novices. Most are new initiates to the Tower, but a few are some who have been at the Tower as long or longer than her. They are almost all Wilders and all have had some less than pleasant run-ins with Maira at one point or another. Gray is a semi-leader in the group, only in part because she bears the brunt of Maira's ire. Lately, though, Maira has calmed herself and has ceased to outwardly berate Gray. She has in fact become a model novice. She and Gray are almost neck in neck in progressing in their studies, and even though Gray has been in the Tower for a significantly shorter period than Maira, she is just slightly ahead of her in lessons. Gray has also managed to keep out of trouble for a little bit, or, at least, she hasn't been caught yet.

After Kakashi had gone to the kitchens and scrounged some food for himself and had eaten, he once again headed for the city. The last time he had gone out, he hadnt really looked around. This time, though, he would go and see what sights there were, stop at a few inns for food and drink, and just enjoy himself. Overall, hardly anyone ever seemed to notice him, and for the time being, that was fine by him. Just because he was here to become a Warder, didnt mean that he wanted to jump right into it and the possibility of never again being able to just relax. So out into the city he went without any concerns.

Inclining his head to the honor the Aes Sedai had offered and the display of trust given, Yurin showed his acceptance.

"I would never give another's secrets under even the most dire of circumstances. I will hold them close to my heart. I understand the need for a mask. I, myself have used them when necessary, as well. Oddly enough, that is how I found myself brought under the wing of the Lord Dragon. That, however, is a story for another time, perhaps. I have been too long from the Amyrlin, I promised my quick return. I beg your understanding, I must go and ensure that my presence is not required."

Bowing deeply to Fayela Sedai, Mog made his leave, taking the same route he had in following her back to the glade where he found that everyone was almost in the same state he had left.

This time, however, there seemed to be even more unconscious people. Wolf had joined Shanoa Sedai and the Keeper in their odd, trance-like states.

He looks at Alina as he kneels down next to her and replies. "No that was just a messenger." He looks up at Jade, "Don't tell anyone about this ok I'd hate myself if you got yourself in the way." He looks down feeling bad about saying something that cold even to a close friend.

Opening her eyes at the sound of a soothing voice, Shanoa finds her vision doubled for a moment as she looks past the Aes Sedai to the door. There is now a man standing by the door, but the odd part is that sometimes the room seems to be burnt down around him and the next moment it is perfectly fine.

What's going on?

For a moment the sounds of chaos and death outside begin to surge again, then they fade, leaving the room silent except for the sound of three people breathing. Confused, Shanoa stares at the man by the door.

I know him. He belongs here somehow, but he's also different. I'm different. Why can't I remember?

Bits of memories flutter like caged birds in her mind as she tries to find a stable thought. Random images appear before her while the library room grows less defined around her and the other two people in it: a book with it's pages marked by a worn book mark, smoke pouring under the door, the texture of the floor in the corner, the man at the door's face through ash streaked glasses.

That's it!

Finally, things begin to make sense again. The library room resolves itself into a burnt out building with one untouched corner and Shanoa appears once more as she does today.

Wolf. You were there that day when the sisters found me here. You helped to drive the Shadow from what was left of the town. Now you have found me once again, thank you. She looks away from Wolf to Mercury. Mercury Sedai, I'm sorry I did not recognize you before. I truly had become my younger self for a while there and if it hadn't been for seeing Wolf standing at the door like he did on the day I was found I probably would still be stuck that way. How long was I like that?
((I'm sorry I'm posting so sporadically. My classes suddenly dumped alot of work on me.))
PostPosted: Tue Oct 04, 2005 4:03 am

Mercury looked around the room as it faltered and changed before suddenly stablizing. She gave a sigh of relief and smiled at Shanoa.

"Who knows? Time flows differently here. I didn't know you were a Dreamer!"

Mercury got up, visibly less tense than before, and extended a hand to Shanoa. She hadn't known that about Wolf; she figured it must have been from when he was still bonded to Clarissa. Oh Light...the others...what were they thinking had happened to the trio?

Mystic smiled as she entered the tower grounds. It felt so good to be back after so long. Though sadly she did not return with her Warder. Just thinking of Desdian brought back all the vivid memories and tears. She would never be whole again until she had a new Warder. That was her true purpose in returning after all. To many people underestimated Whites they never did though make any sign of it while she was around though and never even thought of it when her Warder was as well.
I have to forget Desdian and live life again. She thought trying to regain Whites logical talk instead of this tiring emotion.
But yet, I loved him Again trying to make sense of the situation but she should have known better nothing had made sense since Desdian died. She had gone from smiling to almost crying like now so many times lately. She would get a Warder and regain her precious logic soon. She vowed it under her breath and then she could not break it. Nor did she want to.
