The faces she could see were wary, bordering on the openly hostile, as Elrothiel released her shoulder, determined not to show the people any weakness. Instead, she made a show of open friendliness, smiling at anyone who met her eyes. Gondor was supposed to be an ally of Rivendell after all. At length they came to the inner city and Elrothiel pointed to her left. "You need to start off with the couriers' stables over there." She then gestured to her right. "I'll be in the hands of one healer or another if you want me." With a last smile, she walked away, heading into the building, nervous about her reception.

Black feathered arrows fell around Ranu, who glanced right just in time to duck a third arrow. A trio of Orcs were scouting the area and come across the male. He tripped again, fumbling for his weapons, getting tangled in them with a low oath.

(sorry for my.....delay....)
Nonnah turned to see how far ahead she was when she noticed the black arrows. "How does some guy like him get in so much trouble?" She sighed and drew her sword as she sprinted back to Ranu and his unseen attackers.

[Its fine. I'll let it go this time. Next time I'll remove your toes.]
Ranu cursed as the foul arrow pinned his cloak. He grabbed an arrow and drew it back from his side. It flew, missing them by miles but was enough to make them draw back as he threw out the black arrow, standing.

Elrothiel entered the doorway, her eyes sweeping over the entryway. There were a couple of healers moving about but no patients, unless they were in private rooms along the corridor. Most of those she could see had the hanging drawn back so she assumed they weren't busy. One of the healers immediately crossed to her, noting the wound and reaching to undo the bandaging. He looked up at her. Elrothiel answered the unspoken spoken question. "Uruk-hai." He nodded, then gestured for her to follow him to one of the rooms.

Hrorik walked into the stables and found Amaroq laying down with his eyes wide open. "You don't like it here much do you? Oh well, we can wait this out and see if something good happens for Middle Earth," He said to Amaroq as he sat down beside him and waited for their summons.

Elrothiel couldn't help a soft hiss if pain as the healer probed the wound. She explained that her wound had been made by her own, magic blade and the healer in turn had explained that what he could do was limited but that they were expecting a messenger from Rivendell in the next couple of days, who, if his information was correct, was also a healer. In the mean time he would do what he could. She nodded, knowing that nothing further was possible and having not expected the good luck of a healer of her own people coming. He gave her a draught of something and she fell asleep as he dabbed some concoction on the wound, then rebound it before leaving her there.

[You wouldn't dare cut off my tossies....] [Also, check out this guy. He's a freak!! Clicky here!!!] She ran to Ranu's side, lightly stepping on his foot. "Trouble maker." Nonnah teased as she readied for the next attack. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted an orc, drawing his bow. Nonnah drew her own bow before he did, and the Orc fell, a colorful arrow peircing his chest.

[Want a bet? Simon Cowell'd eat this guy up and rip him to shreds.]
A second arrow hit Ranu in the side as he fired, by tome fluke, taking out the second orc. One was left, but Ranu was down on his knees, clutching the arrow. He looked blankly at the arrow, then up at Nonnah, unable to comprehend the extension to his side.

{I agree, thats not...'human' as he would probly say ^_^}
"Tis fine," She responded to the look on his face, "I'll take care of that last one." She grinned reasuringly, and looked up to see that last orc aiming for ranu, the injured one. Of course, Elves are just the best archerers, and this halfa was no different. Her shot planted itself in his neck before he even drew back. "oi," She looked back to Ranu. "Not bad, for a girl."

[Hehe.]
He looked down at the arrow, unaware of the triumphant words uttered by his friend. He looked at the arrow in his side, watching himself bleed. He laughed weakly.

Hrorik and Amaroq soon fell asleep as they listened for something that would spark a change in the world. A change whether it would be good or bad.

It had taken ages. The arrow was still in the rangers side, but he was there. The gates of Minas Tirth loomed infront of him. He limped through the gates, ignoring a few half hearted cheers. A ranger was a heartening sight for the besieged city. His vision swam as he moved towards a guard who ran forwards, calling for a healer.

Elrothiel sat up. Over the previous couple of days she had healed much faster than she had expected and the wound hurt less, even if the healer refused to let her out of bed. "What's going on?" She asked a passing healer, but he ignored her, almost running towards the door.

By the time the guard dragged him inside, Ranu was unconscious. He had no idea what was being done to him as a dreamless sleep held him.
