Comrade Clara Sir Ichigo You know what? I had an epiphany today as I was walking through Blockbuster. I am no longer interested in anime. I'm still interested in it, but not nearly as much as I was a couple years ago. I used to like obsess over the stuff. We all did. Well, at least now I can take down all my anime posters and paint my room pink.

All that's left is an X TV, a Last Exile and a Risky|Safety. Well, and Sakura Taisen and Chobits wallscrolls. And a huge Firefox rasterized homemade poster. Damn, guess that means I had too many to start with. :/ Also, Generic Clara is strangely compelling for some reason.

But I have moved my graphic novel and Shonen Jump collection into my sister's room to make space for all of my Commie literature. I fail to see this as an improvement. crying And Generic Clara is very compelling in a generic sort of way. mad

So I'm having the opposite problem. Plus there are still a lot of series I want to see, both new and old. (BubbleGum Crisis being way up on the list ... the original! Not the newest xp ) Samurai Champloo Urusei Yatsura Elfen Lied Full Metal Panic : FUMOFUU Dokura-Chan (If they ever bring it over) BubbleGum Crisis Child's Toy

I'm in the opposite as well. I've been in the so-called.. "Anime groupies" for so long it's... *shrug*
Though... I am starting to be less vocal about liking anime exactly the way it was 5 years ago.

SJL I'm more of a music freak than an Anime freak. Sometimes I think it's better to be more interested in music than Anime.. I can listen to music while I write, draw, take the bus, drive around with friends, or just to chill out. I also have music for any mood I'm in. Anime, not so much. So yeah music > anime in my life.

It's just that music is a larger medium than Anime, not to mention it isn't broken down into stereotypical characteristics such as, "magical girl", "mecha", "cuddly creatures", etc.

I like music, but I don't really care too much about it. What I mean is that I have no musical standards whatsoever. My favorite music is that generic pop crap that all of you sophisticated musical people hate so much.

MahouTragicQueen I listen to music but, animation is what I am more knowlageable about. It would be hard to not listen to music. The stuff's anywhere. Even in animation. I like anime. I think it's pretty much the ultimate medium. You can do things that are impossible with live actors, but you can still make the characters seem realistic with voice actors. You can add music and sound effects and all of that. Cartoons have a ton of potential. But unfortunately, a lot of anime shows aren't really all that great. I mean, y'know, would it kill the people to come up with an original story once in a while? How about some interesting characters? And why must there always be a stupid fluffly mascot? I know that this stuff if meant for kids, but still. It could be much better. crying
