Dude, if they're going to sponsor Twilight, they should at least give us a sparkly vampire skin. Bah.
I should be packing for this weekend, but bah, I can do that Saturday.

I don't think it has anything to do with Twilight, so much as their partnership with Target. Hey, creepy fangirls, go buy the SPECIAL EDITION at Target and whatnot. Ha. I love how ridiculous their Edward looks. The Twilight fans are probably bawing more than the people who live off of hating it, now.

I love how ridiculous their Edward looks. The Twilight fans are probably bawing more than the people who live off of hating it, now. You would not believe the amount of 30-40 year-old women I've had come up to me at work the past few days and ask me when Twilight's coming out and if I love Edward too, and then they notice the pained expression on my face and their faces fall and they're like "oh, you didn't like it? Why not? I loved it!" I had one woman confide in me that she has a hard time not calling her husband Edward on accident, now. ...and then I had our LP guy trying to explain to me that the reason they're so good is because Meyer is just amazing at describing what the character is feeling. I couldn't decide whether that was hilarious or awful, so I just hid with all my cell phones.
One of our managers wanted to do a midnight release for the movie. I'm so ridiculously glad she was talked out of it, and that I'm off on Saturday.

So you tell me that I'M selfish, when I gave you a ride home even after you were all over the guy I like all night and I was pissed so I didn't want to, when our entire friendship is based almost entirely on the fact that I decided to be friends with you so I could help you cope with your depression, when I sacrifice my own money and time and gas for you, when I am constantly wrapped up in OTHER people's s**t and barely have any time for my own, when I made you a shirt to wear to Sadie's and then you decided on a whim that you didn't want to go to Sadie's after all, and when YOU are the one who NEEDS people to do things for YOU.
And you're telling ME not to tell you what to do, when everyday you're telling OTHER PEOPLE what to do.
So don't tell me not to party anymore or that I should wear this or do that until you can count your ******** rests right and stop coming in two measures late and and until you can COME TO PRACTICE ON TIME and until you can play your music without looking at it or until you can learn that giving a pathetic, sheepish smile and saying sorry just doesn't CUT IT, because it's time you've grown up, little girl, and stopped being such a little annoying s**t.
UGH FRESHMEN. WHO NEEDS THEM. GIVE ME COLLEGE, NOW.

...and then I had our LP guy trying to explain to me that the reason they're so good is because Meyer is just amazing at describing what the character is feeling. *snip to important parts* I only read the first book and don't care to read the rest, but I'll agree with your LP guy. The plot stank, but the descriptions were great and there was some rather witty dialogue in the first half or so. That's why I don't get how it got movie rights at all. The whole book was so based on how the characters were feeling and just... things that don't translate to the screen at all. Didn't see the movie. Don't care to. And the fact that the prime romance novel audience is gushing to you about a young adult series pretty much proves without a doubt what I've been saying about it having nothing to do with vampires.

No, we do not have Twilight, we are out of stock. Yes, I know it's only 9am, but we started selling it at midnight. Yes, we do intend to get more in. No, I cannot put one on hold for you, as it's a popular title. I'm sorry, would you please put down your middle finger.
Bah.

Men's Wearhouse has an item shop? Really? I like them as much as the next guy (great place for suits), but... really?
It's especially hilarious/bad since Gaia went to so much trouble to promote their "Anti-Prom" however many months ago.
