Sapphire's smile twisted slightly as a thought crossed her mind after his explination. Her normal smile returned though after he asked to kiss her again. "Yes..." she replied.

Sapphire leaned into his kiss, and subconciously moved her hand to his shoulder. After a few moments, she broke the kiss and smiled a bit. "Hm, better...be careful." she said, though it seemed more like she was talking to herself. "Any more of this and I might change my mind about tonight."

"It wouldn't be...would it?" Sapphire asked quietly with a small smile.

A chill went down Sapphire's back and she closed her eyes for a moment. "No...wouldn't be a....bad thing..." she said quietly.

ENTER from Underground Hideout


Warp sped down the streets of Gotham, looking for anything and anyone that could help. Clown was right...ambulance wouldn't be faster than him. Simply have to get a doctor and some equipment and rush them back. Pick up another super hero while he was at it...

Quite suddenly, the glow around Warps leggs changed colors, and his legs suddenly stopped by themselves. As quickly as it changed, the light dissapeared completely, causing Warp to trip in his supercharged run. His feet connected with the cement first, then his head, and after a moment or two of being slightly airborne, the rest of him met the concrete in a tumble.
After a moment or two of stillness, Warp finally moved with a painful groan. When he picked his head up, he noticed blood on the pavement. Then watched a few drops fall onto the small pool. Great, just busted his head. He should be able to slow the bleeding and speed up the healing...
Wait, what the heck just happened? Why did his powers...
A few seconds later, he got his answer in slow, painful convulsions. As the convulsions quickened, the control he had over his powers diminished. Parts of himself, as well as objects around him, began to glow either blue or red for brief periods of time. Lights flashed, cars going by either froze or suddenly ended up three miles from where they were. A few unfortunate living beings around him either became as young as the day it was brough to life, or aged to the point that it was hard to imagine how it could be alive.

Batman heard the commotion just as he was finishing dressing. He glanced back at the girl, then darted for the window. "Raincheck," he told her briskly, ignoring the incredible awkwardness of the whole situation. It wasn't as though anything had happened, but that wasn't much comfort; it was like all the awkward after-business with none of the fun stuff to compensate for it. In any case, he was extremely relieved-- and a little guilty-- to jet out the window.

Within a moment, he found the source of the mess, and landed a ways away. He was afraid to touch the man; the convulsions and the color changes didn't exactly spell safe. ... Of course, that was helped along by the fact that things were disappearing, and people were aging... "What's going on?" he called soothingly, unwilling to get any closer, "How can I help?"
