How about we have a compliment war?
How exactly would you find out who wins or not?

I'm glad we weren't forced to read any of "the classics" in school. Guess that's the benefit of living in RedneckLand, huh? xd

Every time we'd have to do a book report, the minimum length was usually 180 pages. It was funny to watch people in the library, looking for books with exactly 180 pages, regardless of the topic.

xd Exactly 180 pages?

>< Classic books usually make me want to throw the book. Usually. There are some good ones though. I think practically almost all of the authors of the "classics" were paid by word. ><

Yup, or as close to it as they could get. The silly geese never realized that they didn't like reading because they were reading (mostly) crap.

As for 'real, meaningful' books, the last one I've been reading on was Common Sense, Rights of Man, and other Collected Works of Thomas Paine. Once you get used to the grammar usage, &c. , it's fairly enjoyable.

I'm fairly used to people's grammar usage and all that. But.. Dickens can be REALLY wordy. ><' It's like... a page or two of description and words that can really just be a paragraph.

And I forgot Artemis Fowl. I like the books.. I just haven't even read Eternity Code yet.. the.. third one.

I'm waiting for the second book by Christopher Paolini in the Inheritance trilogy. >< I like Sci-fi and fantasy books a bit too much...
