Jonath Nell those should be pritty, not to mention contervertal. Meh. To make the movies financially viable in the States, they removed any direct references to religion and God. It'll only be implied metaphorically.
Which sucks a whole lot of a**, if you ask me. In Lyra's world, religion is freakin' science. How can they work around it without blowing the universe flies right past me.

Oh well, looks like they will make another one that is not really worth the time to watch. I might pick it up some time as a rent after it is made.

Quote: Spear's are genetically engineered humans’ with the potential for psychic abilities, and in order to utilize their potential, they must use the drugs known as PPECs. (Psychic Power Enhancement Chemicals) However, there are some unique Spear's that are created with a unique psionic ability, such as tactile-telekinesis or pryokinesis. This enables them the use psychic projections as attacks. Except for their passive telepathic ability, any other psychic abilities that is used as a "weapon" depends on the type of drug consumed beforehand. Repetitive usage of the pyshic ability will cause the Spear to go into shock, a condition known as "Short", which can only be treated by using the drug Delmetor. Left untreated, Short will kill the victim and all surrounding life forms. therefore each Spear utilizes extreme caution with the use of their abilites, and in this way they can be controlled and regulated. (PPECs) Nalcon ------------ Green in colour, Nalcon endows the user with the power of telekinesis. The user can concentrate shockwaves of psychic blasts and lets them loose on an enemy. Red --------- Red in colour, Red endows the user with the power of pyrokinesis. The user can project a wall of fire from his mind that burns anything caught within the blast radius. D-Felon ------------- Blue in colour, D-Felon endows the user with the power of anti-gravity. The user will be able to lift reasonably sized objects off the floor and then slam them down again where it hurts the most. Melantropin ----------------- A drug that is abundant within every Spear's body. Endows a user with the psychic abilities of telepathy (communication with the mind) and Shield. Bustanor -------------- Yellow in colour, Bustanor is a new drug created by the scientists working for the G.G.. It enables it's user to throw out a number of projectile shockwaves that will home-in on the nearest enemy. Concentration time is very brief for Bustanor. Breakaron ------------- Purple in colour, Breakaron is a new drug. It enables the user to discharge the static trapped in the air, creating electricity all around him. Very powerful but the ingredients used to make Breakaron are very rare. Shield --------- Used to invoke every Spear's passive ability to generate a psychic aura around himself. The shield is impenetrable from solid atatcks, but suffers some weakness to energy based attacks. The Shields are just your average joes, and nowhere near in class with the Spears. The Gaian Goverment has considerably increased the odds in their favor by outfitting them with specialized equipment, including bullet-resistant uniforms and visors resembling a knight's helmet. The left sleeve of their uniform is made of a special latex material that hardens with impact, and the gauntlet they wear on their right hand contains a spring-loaded knife and pistol plus compartments for miniaturized explosive and concussive devices. The leg harnesses hold a baton that can be telescoped to a full-length lance, as well as their communication device (called comm links) and a spare holster For combat operations, Shields wear "battle vests," heavy-duty flak jackets with pouches for items.

I still have to wait for Saul to get somewhere safe.
Then turn him and make it really not safe.
