She missed Georgia too.
Not only did Georgia have a better academic program, as far as she could see, but the place actually had *gasp* seasons! And hills! And snow more often than every 17 years!

Oh wow, the last days of February caught me in a real busy time-warp. Really sorry I wasn't able to polish the BTB further. sweatdrop

Hey Serieve, Prarie_Fire had said something about the 'zine losing her submission(s) before? When was that and what happened?

I think I explained it to her. When her submission wasn't published the same month she submitted it, she thought it got lost. Since she submitted in the February thread and didn't see it in the February issue, she thought it was misplaced again, when actually it's just waiting in The Oasis to be published later on. ^^

An understandable mistake. It is kind of confusing.

God I hate Shakespeare, the man has no sense of mood. If the person is essentially telling somebody to piss off, it doesn't need to take three paragraphs. It kills the entire story when these people act so unatural. Then again, the whole thing plays out like a god damn soap opera that's been done a thousand times. Why people worship this s**t is just completely beyond belief. It's like the French and Napoleon, they just can't admit the fact that he was poisoned; just like the uppidty English people can't admit that Shakespeare isn't really all that great, and certainly doesn't transcend the ages.

well, one thing everyone always seem to forget is that Shakespeare was just writing to entertain. I mean, most of his stories were written to get on the good side of Queen Elizabth and later King James, and it was mostly common-denominator entertainment. Kind of like soap operas, or bad dramas. I enjoy shakespeare. I also watch Charmed (to my shame...it's soooo horribly badly done). I mean, he had some beautiful passages, but he wasn't intillectual genius many people think he was.

I still find that his dialouge is horrible and doesn't flow well with the feelings it is trying to convey. I especially find it an annoyance to analyse, or flat out give a s**t about for English classes because I find it so dull. Why can't we ever do Marlowe for a change? I like Marlowe, he kicked a** as a playright. Hell, he was one of the original James Bonds in real life. He took part in uncovering the Babington Plot and faked his own death! He makes Shakespeare look like a p***y.

"Beware the Ides of March!"

I don't care for Shakespeare either. I would much rather watch his plays than read them. That's what a play is for anyway. Occasionally, I find a few lines I like, but otherwise, "it's all Greek to me."

agreed, it's much better to watch them than have to read/analyze them.

I suppose I'd be fine with reading them, but analyzing? Nuh-uh.
On another note, I didn't recognize you at first, Jaho.

And Jile's leaving, as Birdy (and Verne) have gotten quite worked up over.

Yes. Unfortunately.
He's turning over his Q&A to some others.
He also left a post or two in Teh Ministry of Lurve, I think its name is, saying good-bye and the like. Verne gave the link.

It appears the 'zine is no longer the novelty it once was. The submissions thread is dying, and I am afraid to revive it too many times.
