Sapphire smiled a bit and stood from her chair. "Alright. I'll try to be quick." she said as she walked towards the bathroom with her mask and gloves in hand.

Nearly an hour later, Sapphire finally stepped out of the shower. She was in there much longer than she wanted to be, but the hot water flet too good. It always did. Now all she needed was some nice hot tea and she'd be as relaxed as she could be. Unfortunately there was only the brandy. Well, that would help as well, but she'd already had plenty. Well, maybe just another taste.
She wrapped her hair in a towl, dried off, then slipped into one of the robes. She glanced down at her costume that she had tossed on the floor and picked it up. This thing needed washed as well. And sewn. Actually, she could probably sew it up herself. Her strands could take any thickness she wanted, she could turn it into strong thread and patch her costume up before tomorrow. A card fell out of one of her boots. She picked it up as well and looked at it. Something else that needed to be done...well, she'd figure everything out tomorrow. She slid her hand into her boot, trying to find one of the pockets she had on the inside of it. She found it and slid the card inside. She shouldn't loose it in there.
She sighed a moment, then turned towards the door. Well, she'd been in here long enough. Go retreat into the bedroom for a while. Didn't want to keep the bathroom occupied all night. Quietly, she opened the door and stepped out. Though that's about as far as she made it.
She stopped and stared at Savage a moment. Meditating? She wasn't in there that long, was she? Well, he's in the middle of...that, so...yeah, she should head off to the other room. Didn't need to disturb him.
For some reason she just couldn't walk away yet.

Oh, boy...

"Oh, um, no. No, I'm fine." Sapphire replied with a slight blush. "I wasn't expecting...I mean I didn't mean to disturb you." she said, trying to focus on his face.

Sapphire's blush darkened a bit as Savage stood and moved towards her.

Aye...ok, focus on his face. Easier said than done. Come on, you're around supers all the time. Though...very few of them without their costume... she thought as she tried to not appear as though she were staring. Seriously...why was this so hard?
She kept her gaze on his face once he stopped in front of her. Well, at least he was close enough now that it would be easier for her to focus on his face. Though...maybe a little too close. Not that she was complaining. Well, she kind of was, but with good reason for all the thoughts going through her head. This was certainly not the time or place to be having such...ergh.

She smiled at him a bit after he spoke and fiddled a little with the costume in her hands. "Well...thank you." was all she could think to say after her focus went from his face to his eyes. Gorgeous eyes. After everything else that's happened since the whole universal merging...she was staying in a lavish hotel for free with a man who, if there truely was no unfavorable outcome after tonight, could certanly give Blackstone a run for his money. Shie-shie...

Huh...this whole thing seemed familiar somehow. Movie? Maybe even somewhere along the line on one of her daytime soaps. Yeah, had to be. If it had reminded her of the other hotels or anything...there are a few things that probably would have happened already. Or were about to happen. Jeeze, why was her mind going there again...
Oh...speaking of which. She didn't meditate or anything, but the people she knew that did...never really had to strip to do it. Was he trying to...crap.
Thinking about it now, this did remind her of a movie. She watched it at her appartment with Manuela. This was the part of the movie that Manuela called...what was it again? 'La mala situacion'. Though...this all really wasn't that bad. Perhaps she could turn it into a 'La bueno situacion'. Sh- there she goes again! Ergh.....she needed another drink. She'd said that nothing was happening tonight, she needed to stick to that. No matter how much she...ugh. Not all heros were perfect, right? Everyone had their flaws...but still.

"Um...I was, uh, just going to get another glass." she said, trying to change the subject...whatever the subject was. She tried to avert her attention, but the only thing around to really focus on was him. "Shower was good, but I've been running around all day. Muscles are still pretty tense, and...uh..." Oh, good job. Change the subject to needing more brandy and a massage. Wonderful. Just go to bed, Misty...tell him goodnight and go to bed.

Definately...

"It's alright." she replied, taking the glass. Full again... "You don't have to if you don't want."
Ugh. Stupid thing to say...but that was a bit of a habit as well.

Alex waited on the edge of the sidewalk for another moment or two, looking up and down the street. She could have sworn she heard a motorcycle nearby, but nothing had come. She rolled her eyes a bit and turned to head down the street again. Well, just have to suffer with sore feet for a while longer. Find some new clothes and shoes, then find a place to crash. At least for a little while, then find Riku and anyone else that could help her. Or that she’d be able to help. Needed something to eat here soon as well. Man, this was going to wipe her out cash wise.

She felt a breeze sweep behind her and glanced back in time to see a dark blur shoot past, then abruptly stop. A man with a little red-head girl in his arms stood a few feet away from her now. He looked at her a moment then smiled slightly. ”Wolf?” he asked.

Alex looked at him a moment. Ok, he looked familiar…but she didn’t recognize him. Scent was a bit familiar as well. ”Do I know you?”

The girl in his arms looked at her, then up at him. ”You know her, Uncle Warp?” she asked.

Alex blinked a moment, then frowned. ”Oh. Of course. There any more of you running around, or might I be lucky?”

”Shadow Spider’s here. But that’s all the clone’s I’ve seen so far.” Warp replied.

Alex sighed a bit. Well, she wasn’t that bad either. Provided she didn’t get a job from someone. She doubted she’d work for Blackstone, so things might be alright. Lucky. Compared to the rest of the clones, these two were some of the few mild ones.

”So, did you get into a fight with yourself or something?” Warp asked with a small grin.

Alex blinked, then glanced down at her charred and shredded outfit. She looked back up at him with an annoyed frown. ”Ha. Ha.” she replied with a slight growl. ”I’ve actually had a bit of a bad day. Building fell on top of me. So, if you don’t mind, keep your comments to a minimum.”

”I know.” Warp replied, the grin still on his face. ”So, did you need a lift anywhere?”


Alex looked at him a moment, then sighed a bit. ”Yeah, actually I do. Broke both my boots and my feet are killing me. Think you can find an inexpensive store? Very inexpensive. Matter of fact, I’d even settle for a Dollar Store or Good Will. Need to save what I have for a hotel and food until I can get myself settled somewhere.”

”You, shopping at a dollar store? You are having a bad day.”

”Shut up.” Alex growled.

”Can you carry both of us?” Rosie asked, looking up at Warp.

”Actually, you’re small enough you might be able to piggy back ride in my hood.”

Rosie’s eyes lit up a bit as she smiled up at him. Warp smiled back at her and lifted her up so that she could climb onto his back. She pulled his hood back enough for her to sit into, then wrapped her arms around his neck. Warp turned back to Alex with a small smile. ”Well, you ready?”

Alex sighed a bit, then walked up to him. ”Alright…”

”Just hold onto Rosie a bit as we go. I’m not going to go fast enough that she’ll fly off, but I don’t like to take the chance that she does.” Warp said as he picked Alex up in both arms.

”Whatever you say, ‘Uncle Warp’.” Alex said with a small grin herself as she reached a hand around his neck to help hold herself and Rosie. ”What are you doing with a kid anyway?”

”Giving her a ride home.” he replied simply. ”Hold on ladies.”

With that, the glow around his legs returned, and the three sped off into the city. What seemed like only seconds later, Warp stopped outside of a…what must have been this worlds version of a dollar store, and a discount costume shop. Alex glanced up at the buildings, then rolled her eyes a bit. ”Looks like my lucks turning around.” she said with mild sarcasm in her voice.

Warp sat her down and grinned again. ”I’m sure you’ll scare enough villains out of their hard stolen money to find a Hot Topic or Spencers or wherever it is you like better.”

Alex gave him a bit of a look, then shook her head and started for the store. ”Just carry the kid like you were before. And thanks for the ride. You weren’t quite as annoying as you usually are.”

”Bye!” Rosie called out with a little wave as Warp picked her back up.

”I’ll take that as a compliment. Alright, let’s go kiddo.” Warp said as the glow appeared around his legs again and they again sped off down the street.


[EXIT Warp and Rosie to Warehouse]

Alex suddenly stopped before she made it inside, hearing someone call out her alias. She spun around and found a young girl in a ninja outfit. She smiled a bit and stepped back out. "Hey! Finally a face I'm glad to see."

The corner of Sapphire's mouth curled slightly as she glanced down and took a sip of the brandy. Right, relaxing. That's all. What on earth was she getting so worked up over? Nothing.
"Alright." she replied, looking back up at him with a small smile.
