I had something to say. It was either humorous or important; I don't recall which. In lieu of that, I am off to Zaxby's. I used to whine about there being no Zaxby's or Arby's near me, and now that I've moved to a place with both very near to me, I haven't visited in six months! I blame it on the proximity of the Most High of all fast-food drive-throughs, Taco Bell.

CuAnnan The warmth with which they thanked and greeted me reminded me that, while often it feels like it, I am not alone. There may yet be hope for my culture. Then let us lift a glass. Here's to Hoping. It rhymes with Coping. 3nodding

Does anyone remember the name of the fallacy in which one thing is another thing at the same time?

Sophist Does anyone remember the name of the fallacy in which one thing is another thing at the same time? Do you mean Equivocation? Where a single word is implied in multiple senses or interchangably? Or are you looking for the one where a single concept has multiple words and one is quibbling over semantics?

I mean if a being is supposed to be considered an individual and at the same time something else. e.g. Egyptian syncretism, the Trinity.

My supervisor joked that he should bring in a cot for me because of all the overtime I'm taking at work.
Picked up more for next week!

We're reading Frankenstein for my political science class to finish off the semester. We're also watching Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein (that's Fronk-en-steen).
As it turns out, the professor and I are the only ones in the class with an appreciation for Jewish humor.
Also, it's only embarrassing to be the only one laughing (aside from the professor) when the lights come back on and you can't quit.

Shearaha I love that movie. We watched it this haloween and I was rolling on the floor I was laughing so hard. Addmitidly I was sitting on the floor to begin with so it wasn't all that far to go, but I just love that movie. xd There were furtive giggles in the class, but within the first five minutes or so I begin giggling terribly, and by the time Gene Wilder shoves the scalpel into his leg while he's shouting I've built up into a full belly laugh. I didn't think anyone would appreciate my rolling on the floor. stressed Absolutely!
