As he gives the tools to Eira he carefully checks on a personal memo to make sure everything is exchanged properly on his part.

"Oh and watch out with this bottle" he says, pausing as he gives Eira an opaque bottle. " ?The solution is extraordinarily potent."

"Well, Assuming I had seen the one other that's been proper and civil, that is to say he took part in some length of the conversation which was in our collective majesty and liege's office, he would be seriously puterbed as he seems to be the type that avoids being seen or sensed in any manner at all costs, except that of being seen that is which is rather important to what his profession might appear to be, which seems to be something rather unusual, or even dangerous in trade, perhaps performed most often in the dead of night, round cold fireplaces and other such romantic, which is to say adventurous, proceedings like those which spread on the wings of the bards' songs which, ever so melodious in tune and hypnotic in composure sway the souls of the people to ignore the hardships of their lives and instead simply watch as some piper, most pied, leads them into a river where they peacefully lie down to sleep and drown, but perhaps that is the best way to go, peacefully, uncaring of the world around you, which certainly means no regrets, no problems, and utter peace, which can often be described by the short metaphor: 'Ignorance is that solitude which comes when we dream the fansciful and foolhardy.'
As for horses, they tend to dislike me, possibly on account of some horseman blood or some such nonsense, but I'm reasonable with geography."

"I see, well despite horses not being remarkably friendly towards you, I have something in mind that should be indifferent at least. And if you are capable with geography it shall speed our trip, otherwise I would be checking a map more ofen than I would like. I'll get the mounts as soon as we're both ready, so assuming that there is nothing left to do, shall we be on our way."

(Unless Surqueek has remaining buisiness of some sort) Eira casts two spells of phantom steed, with one having sursqueek as the designated rider.

"these won't last but a few hours, but we should be able to acomplish nearly a full day's ride's distance in that time. Beside, I've never been fond of real horses myself."

Nothing goes wrong.

during the story, Eira will occasionally do the classic "smile and nod", ignore him completely, and sometimes even actually listen, trying to comprehend the long-winded beast-man's tale... Otherwise, she does nothing in particular during the ride.

Thanatos arrives at the camp, and begins to search for a sentry or soldier. When he finnally does encounter one he approaches them and proclaims "I am Thanatos, and by order of King Uthos I have come to take command of this army and drive the elvish vermin from our lands. Now you solder, find a runner to send word to my agents who are currently positioned (at this he takes out a map and shows the solder the location of his mercinary/bandit camp. he hands the solder the map along with a note). Now take me to the command tent, its time that we start planning this attack."

Sursqueek still lies rather uncerimoniously on the outskirts of the camp, unconcious and breathing heavily.
