((since we both seem to be looking for each other I assume we meet at some point, so here goes the meeting I guess, and I've commented on the gold amount in the ooc thread))

"Hello there, I see you made it through the night, and you seem to have come into possesion of more gear than I remember from before. Been busy have you?" after a short pause Eira says, "And may I ask, are you about ready for the trip to meet the troops?"
PostPosted: Mon May 14, 2007 7:52 pm

"Yes most Assuredly I am ready to meet them and I'm surely ready to meet a good deal of other things as well, though I can't wait to see something I'm NOT ready for, now that would truely be interesting as I am always as ready as can be which can become tiresome after a fashion, though I suppose as it has been said by my uncle's half-brother's mother's husband's aunt's chef, Cutless the Tenderizer of meats and bringer of roasted black ash flavored dishes to the table of his great and illustrious family, by which is meant to say corpulent, used to say "Varied ways and happenings which occur through the passage of time in which one lives are to the life one is living at the time as the spices added to the charcoal that is cooked on the fuel, which is to mean and say, always different tasting unless something happens to taste like something else , which is usually a fowl of common nature." which one can derive 2 seperate sayings, one of which is more frequently used than others, though it only applies to specific situations, but is useful none the less, the first being "Variety is the spice of life", and the second being "'Tastes like chicken!", in which case you can see that the former version is better being longer in words than both of the shorter versions combined, yet still getting two messages across in one sitting, utter fantastic I might say. Speaking of Speaking, I must thank you for the chance to practice my skills at chemical combinations...It is an activity which I find great joy in undertaking and as such I must now render you in possesion of that which you requested."

As he gives the tools to Eira he carefully checks on a personal memo to make sure everything is exchanged properly on his part.

"Oh and watch out with this bottle" he says, pausing as he gives Eira an opaque bottle. " ?The solution is extraordinarily potent."

"I have to agree, Variety is truly something which makes life worth living. and I think all three versions of those sayings are equally adequate, given particular situations, and audiences. As well, it seems I should thank you for these items. They seem to be at least as well made as any I've created and you seem to work far faster than I could have even attempted. Thank you."

Considering Sursqueek's comment about the bottle, Eira will get out a pen and mark the opaque container, wrap it, and place it in her belt pouch, while placing the other items in her pack.

I've two questions for you. Have you seen any of the others? I'm still unsure of whether or not the others woke, and I have yet to see the roguish man?
My other question, was whether or not you had obtained a mount for the trip as I may have a solution if you haven't?

"Well, Assuming I had seen the one other that's been proper and civil, that is to say he took part in some length of the conversation which was in our collective majesty and liege's office, he would be seriously puterbed as he seems to be the type that avoids being seen or sensed in any manner at all costs, except that of being seen that is which is rather important to what his profession might appear to be, which seems to be something rather unusual, or even dangerous in trade, perhaps performed most often in the dead of night, round cold fireplaces and other such romantic, which is to say adventurous, proceedings like those which spread on the wings of the bards' songs which, ever so melodious in tune and hypnotic in composure sway the souls of the people to ignore the hardships of their lives and instead simply watch as some piper, most pied, leads them into a river where they peacefully lie down to sleep and drown, but perhaps that is the best way to go, peacefully, uncaring of the world around you, which certainly means no regrets, no problems, and utter peace, which can often be described by the short metaphor: 'Ignorance is that solitude which comes when we dream the fansciful and foolhardy.'
As for horses, they tend to dislike me, possibly on account of some horseman blood or some such nonsense, but I'm reasonable with geography."

(And thus the DM stalks his prey)

(((spot check to notice stalking DM -any #- I think I failed...)))

"I see, well despite horses not being remarkably friendly towards you, I have something in mind that should be indifferent at least. And if you are capable with geography it shall speed our trip, otherwise I would be checking a map more ofen than I would like. I'll get the mounts as soon as we're both ready, so assuming that there is nothing left to do, shall we be on our way."

(Unless Surqueek has remaining buisiness of some sort) Eira casts two spells of phantom steed, with one having sursqueek as the designated rider.

"these won't last but a few hours, but we should be able to acomplish nearly a full day's ride's distance in that time. Beside, I've never been fond of real horses myself."

((I'm good for equipment and such so I assume we can make it there as easily as Thanatos...))
"Ahh...I must sincerely thank you for such an interesting treat as to being the short term master of one of these creatures, which reminds me very much of the time I went to visit my grandfather in the misty villages of the ocean tides near my home where, a funny thing really, everyone had gotten a cold because of the unusually thick fog, and yet, somehow dry air, which permiated the town on a regular basis, but at this time seemed reletively abonormal, but no less was I compeled to continue and I...."

Here Sursqueek relates a long, complex and undoubtedly irrelevant story about his theories of sneezes ripping holes in the space time continum which will eventually lead to some strange and powerful eldritch god of destruction and death to enter the universe, a universe which will know such a terror as the powerful and invincible Xi'uck Knor Aws. Unfortunately he only appears to be halfway complete at the time of arrival, where he collapses from under-breathing (again).

during the story, Eira will occasionally do the classic "smile and nod", ignore him completely, and sometimes even actually listen, trying to comprehend the long-winded beast-man's tale... Otherwise, she does nothing in particular during the ride.

(The DM watches)
PostPosted: Wed May 23, 2007 11:30 am

Thanatos arrives at the camp, and begins to search for a sentry or soldier. When he finnally does encounter one he approaches them and proclaims "I am Thanatos, and by order of King Uthos I have come to take command of this army and drive the elvish vermin from our lands. Now you solder, find a runner to send word to my agents who are currently positioned (at this he takes out a map and shows the solder the location of his mercinary/bandit camp. he hands the solder the map along with a note). Now take me to the command tent, its time that we start planning this attack."

He scurries off to the rabble.

Sursqueek still lies rather uncerimoniously on the outskirts of the camp, unconcious and breathing heavily.

Eira, will stay by Sursqueek for a time, not wanting a wandering sentry to spot and kill the new, unconscious, general. Along the same lines, she will keep an eye out for any sentries that do approach so as to announce their arrival.

spot- 15+1=16

If after twenty minutes of waiting, Sursqueek does not wake, or she does not see a sentry, Eira will wake him, and make her way toward the main portion of the camp, announcing herself , and her companion as a new generals appointed by the king to the first soldier she encounters.
