Super Sailor Caia, Senshi of Cardinals Score: 3+7 (10)
Caia had been in the process of trying to explain that his name was not Seymour; his mouth had been open when the fireflies went off. He was seeing spots in his vision and his ears were ringing just slightly but he hadn't taken any damage.
"Are you okay?" he blurted; she was still talking, still standing, but he hadn't hesitated to put one of his arms around her. "I've got you, lean against me. I don't see any damage on your face, I don't see any blood. I'm going to--ah!" he almost tripped over a vine as it swung by and he realized that he couldn't do that.
"Okay, no, just--hold on," he said; without permission he instead scooped her up into his arms, holding her firmly. He was tall and thin but surprisingly sturdy. "You can hold on, I'm going to try and get away from the plant some--away from these fireflies."
Despite how naturally clumsy he seemed to be, with her in his arms he was doing his best not to trip or fall; he was putting all of his focus into making sure they stayed away from the danger--and making sure he didn't trip and fall right into more.

Captain Lopezite Score: 7+6 (13)
Lopezite had just shaken his head, cleared his mind as much as he could have managed while things still seemed so chaotic around him. With the illusion gone it gave him the ability to actually pay attention to his surroundings; it still seemed like it might have been a smart idea to leave, but...
He couldn't, knowing this thing was thrashing about--if it got into Destiny City it might hurt--
--Alpersite?
He stiffened and his blood ran cold when he saw the lieutenant wandering towards the plant. He pushed past the flailing vines, trying to ignore the little firefly bombs that seemed to be going off all around them.
"Alpersite," he called sharply, gripping the man's hand and pulling him back as much as he could, narrowly avoiding tripping over a vine that swept the ground below them.
"Come on, we have to get away from here. Focus on my voice, you need to pay attention or you're going to get hurt--can you hear me?" he squeezed his wrist as he pulled, not hard enough to hurt him but with enough pressure to try and get him to focus on him.

4 + 9 = 13 There was a strange joy in Kibirev’s face as she came within reach of the plant, a pure rapture that she was going to get to be with Altea again, and suddenly…
Suddenly Altea was gone and Adria was standing in front of her. Adria, her friend. Her friend who she cared about and…and had saved and… And Altea was gone…and there was…
Such a large, angry plant there and…
Oh…
It was a trick. A trap. Just like everything seemed to be…and this plant had… Anger burned in the senshi suddenly and she drew Adria away from one of the vines with a quick grip of his hand and stomped on the writhing thing with as much strength she could put behind her foot, relishing in the sickening crunching sound that she heard. <******** this.” Her voice was harsh, pained and quickly she wiped away the tears that had come to her eyes. “Damnit…Adria…A-arnica are you both okay?”

Sailor Arnica, Dark Mirror Senshi of Mandragora Score: 7+7 (14)
"I'm okay," Arnica blurted, more relieved that Kibirev had seemed to snap out of it than anything else--though he was uncomfortable with the stronger White Moon Senshi that had intercepted them. The hair on the back of his neck was standing on edge, a mixture of Adria's presence as much as it was the horror that Kibirev had been so consumed by the illusion--that she couldn't have broken out of it on her own, that she would have taken them to certain demise...
He made sure he had a good grip on her hand and squeezed a little tighter--even though the firefly that exploded close to him was loud enough it left a faint ringing in his ear. He grimaced, and tried to take a few steps back from the plant just to make sure they weren't helpless against it.
It didn't help that the vines thrashing around shook the ground and made his heart pound; he was still new to this--but damn, if he didn't wish he had his camera.
He'd always been invested in the oddities of the world, the strange things, the conspiracies...
This? This was real.
...And horrifying.

2 + 7 = 9
Alpersite blinked, frowning slightly as he looked away from the smiling image of his sister, his frown deepening when he looked back and she vanished. Oh this…
This wasn’t…
“…Captain Lopezite?” He said softly, confused. His voice was almost childlike and sounded more than a little frightened as he took in the large, gaping plant before them.
What kind of disgusting trickery was this?
His feet moved away from the plant as he was lightly pulled along by his captain…pulled to safety. “I don’t…understand?” As a vine lashed out to grab ahold of him, the lieutenant summoned his pathetic weapon to his hand and smacked the vine hard, moving with more speed away from the plant. “…This isn’t…isn’t normal!”
That was pretty obvious…but…just what the hell was going on?

The strange, alien plant seems both offended and alarmed by the onslaught of damage it is receiving. What began as a languid defense has suddenly turned desperate. Parts of the plant are bleeding a strange, green liquid. When it hits the ground it smokes, steaming as its acid burns the ground. Flowers are blossoming all over the plant--across its great leaves, across its vines. It smashes its appendages into the ground, causing great bursts of strange, hazy mist to explode across the ground. It is almost impossible to avoid, and as soon as you inhale, you find yourself immersed in a deeper illusion.
Once more, the illusion of someone lost to you appears. This time, they hold both of your wrists and seem to be looking on pleadingly, desperately, as if begging you to stop. No one else can see them, but they feel so real. They do not speak, but their eyes are enough to freeze you in your tracks. It’s as if the rest of the world has slipped away; you forget about everyone else around you, about the battle--all you can do is look at them as a wave of fatigue washes over you.

If you roll between 8-13 you manage to break through the illusion. You manage to get a good strike on the plant, and the faintest sensation of relief washes over you. If you roll between a 4-7 you manage to break through the illusion with difficulty; your loved one grips your hand so tightly it feels as though you will bruise. Though you escape the trance, you find yourself battered with vines; the pollen in the air stings your eyes and can make breathing a little difficult. If you roll between a 1-3 you find yourself struggling to breath through the illusion; if you do not break out, your body begins to feel cold, but your loved one continues to smile reassuringly at you. You feel calm, and tired, as if you could fall asleep any second. If you do manage to break through the illusion, you find yourself feeling drained and sluggish; you feel a wave of guilt consume you--and, more than that, it seems like the plant is swinging its vines at you. You may find yourself grazed by thorns, battered by vines, or dealing with the stinging sensation of the pollen in your eyes. It can cause coughing fits, make breathing difficult, and make it difficult to see.
Please keep track of your roll totals in bold red font at the top of your post!
If you choose to, you may respond from the prompt you roll to or any prompt lower, but you cannot respond to a prompt higher than what you rolled! The damage you take is entirely up to you. Orah didn’t know how long the fireflies bombarded her, vines dragging her across the ground despite her struggling. It seemed like forever despite what logic said, and she felt exhaustion enough to fit it. Fighting as a civilian was -hard-… She hadn’t been forced to it since before she’d gotten her pen... and it was a good reminder what she was fighting for. There were still many in the city who had no choice in the matter, who’s desperate struggles didn’t have even the hope of reaching a henshin pen to transform with. The bright flashes of light made it hard to see anything beyond the after images they left, her ears ringing from the explosions… But she thought she caught movement that wasn’t the bugs and vines writhing around her.
Someone seemed to be close and… attacking the vines. Orah’s breath rasped in her throat as she threw herself into her struggles, feeling one of the vines holding her go limp. Had that stranger cut it off? If they could hit a few more of them, maybe she could wriggle free, without the use of her pen.
The scent of something acrid reached her and forced her to turn her head away, coughing as it burned her nose. Was that the plant? Her vision was still mottled by black spots, sounds muffled… and her mother was there again. Reaching to wrap fingers around her struggling wrists. Orah stilled as she stared, that sense of exhaustion sweeping her over her harder than before. It was so much effort to keep fighting… Why was she struggling so hard? Someone was trying to help her… and she could still faintly feel the slash of thorns cutting her skin… but it felt very far away.

Idavollr felt her boot connect with something that she was hoping was the vine - something that seemed to be more and more likely given that it had been followed up by some sort of green substance that she wasn't sure she wanted to get too close to started dripping downwards–
It was a thought that crystallised into certainty once drops of the liquid started peppering the ground causing the ground to smoke and steam where it fell.
Truthfully this was the very last place that she wanted to be, but vines still seemed to be clustered around Arian's flatmate, and whilst Saffron honestly didn't know much about the other woman apart from the fact that she and Arian both been at Meadowview for a time, Arian seemed to have liked and trusted her enough to rent an apartment with her–
Was in fact still renting the apartment with her.
Idavollr reached out to smack out at another vine and then tried to stomp yet another vine but instead found herself inhaling some of the strange haze-like mist suddenly rising up across the ground–
And once again her aunt was suddenly there in front of her, hands reaching out to gently but implacable hold her hands, a sad imploring look in her eyes that made Idavollr feel like a little kid being taken to task for doing something wrong.
Orah was forgotten, the damned plant was forgotten, tiredness slipping up to grip her in an invisible grip.
There was a niggling voice in the back of her head, but it was small and faint, easy enough to push aside - at least at first.
It pushed at her however and refused to quite go away, reminding her that there was something not quite right, even though it took a good few moments for her to remember.
It took a good few moments and something else smacking into her, but the twin sensations were enough albeit barely for Idavollr to finally start to shake herself free from the thing that most certainly not her dead aunt, even as her - it's - hands tightened momentarily in a grip that felt like it would bruise–
Idavollr emerged from the haze coughing, eyes stinging from the pollen-laden air and her body feeling bruised and battered.
She needed to get out of here. She tried to glance over to where she had last seen Arian's flatmate - no make it they needed to get out of here, because she couldn't exactly leave the other woman here.

The girl grabbed him, and though Nataniel didn't know what her reasoning behind the action was or why she thought she'd be superior at handling the situation as compared to him, he did have to give credit where it was due. She shredded through the vines more easily than he might've cared to. ...Though he still considered her too hasty in her movements and unwilling to broach the attack as more than just a decision to hack away at snapping vines.
And she was bossy.
His eyes narrowed at the girl as he rose to his feet, and though it crossed his mind to say that he wasn't friends with anyone here, it was perhaps not the most important information at the moment. Nataniel dusted pollen and bits of grass from the front of his shirt with a flick of fingers as he did what he was bid and moved back toward the boy. That strange kid who'd been screaming his name and begging the girl to do something.
"You don't have to be so frightened," Nataniel murmured flatly. Even if they were all eaten by a giant, smelly flower, did it matter in the grand scheme of things? In the scope of the universe, what did even this many lives mean? Next to nothing, he was sure.
So what was the point in bothering attacking as so many others were? The... monster creature piranha plant clearly had feelings about what was happening here, and the resistance being shoved at it only made the thing react more aggressively in response. Plumes of dusty haze rose where it cracked its vines against the earth, and the pungent smell it exuded had become stronger. There was nothing Nataniel could do to stop this or fight it, so there was little reason to expend the effort to try.
When pollen filled his airway and stung his eyes, he did feel almost prepared for the vision that followed. Hallucinations seemed to be a primary mode of defense for this creature, though Nat was too aware that his childhood pet had long passed to give very much credit to the vision. Even if he could ignore the dog, though, the sharp lash of thorny vines being slung haphazardly about was easily distracting enough and encouraged him to keep low to the ground. A smaller target, as it were.

Landry Croix
Somewhere in the blur of his mind, he could here Wolframite calling to him, reassuring him, but is sounded very faint and far away.
That illusion of his father was still there, giving that same sad smile he gave back when Landry had done something wrong as a child. Never angry just... Sad. It wasn’t hard to give into those tired feelings, the endless coughing coughing adding to the exhaustion that was quickly overwhelming him.
“Ugh...” Would sleeping be so bad? No, his father wanted him to sleep, after all, and Landry always did try his best to follow the man’s desires.
Briefly, a man crossed his mind... A big man with warm eyes and a cheeky smile.. And with that thought, he felt guilty, apologetic for being so mean to the him.. Maybe, the next time they meet, he’d have a better opportunity to apologize... For now, sleep was far too close to worry about such things.

Sailor Ananke Super Senshi of Portals Total Rolls: 8 + 5 + 4
Ananke quickly sprinted over to the chibi senshi that needed assistance as she moved to grab the smaller girl from the creature she felt something grab her arm. It was that strange figure again... someone who felt familiar but she was sure she had never met them before. "I'm sorry but... I'm not going with you!" With a tug, she felt the illusion disappear.
It seemed to be a vine that had attacked her and she had ripped it off her wrist in the struggle. Deeply breathing Ananke noticed it was hard to breathe. Her eyes hurt... what was she doing before all the confusing images started to happen.

DMS Eternal Kiuchi Score: 9+10+7= 26
Looking towards Acubens, and the dark mirror senshi with her, he nodded his head once. "Already put some of my magic to use on it." Nodding his head towards the plant, that seemed rather agitated. "I'd say the plant isn't too pleased with what everyone is flinging at it." Having seen several people use magic on it and even a weapon. He didn't feel for the plant though ,it was trying to kill them after all.
Having seen Acubens attack it was a sight, as usual when she used her magic. When the magic hit him this time it was his mother who appeared, again, taking both his hands and trying to guide him, while giving him a pleading sort of look, and he could feel her holding onto him! Her hold was tight, like it used to be when at the super market or the toy store. Why was she trying to lead him somewhere? Why was he letting her? He knew better by now...she only pulled him around when he didn't want to go with her. When he wanted a food that he liked, something she didn't like, or when he wanted a small toy for himself.
He was older now and where did she want to take him? As he shook himself, with much effort, from the vision he took a step back - to where he had been before the illusion had struck. "Acubens..." Shaking his head he pointed, slowly, towards the baby senshi she'd brought over with her. "Looks like the plant has him under."
