The first one was simple: an infected leg that he cleaned out using his alcohol and then bandaged up tightly. The other two, however, were well beyond his resources, and he was forced to have them move somewhere else with a grim look. Hopefully they found someone capable of getting them before...well, before.

This would definitively help, he thought, as he put the flint and paper away so he could get to the healing part of this all.

Finally, she found someone she could help. And this would not require her actually touching them, because touching them would have hurt. She dropped down, elated, to pour water on their burn with a thousand apologies as they screamed in pain. Quickly, she used the water to soothe it, and laid a towel on the burn to keep it clean.

TOTAL HEALING DONE: 60
When she found a new patient, she would not be so lucky. He groaned and begged for mercy, but she hesitated, unable to touch him without wincing. In the end, she had to power through her phobias, administrating the alcohol to cleanse the wound, and the fire to cauterize it.
He grabbed her arm and clenched as the fire burned at him, freezing her with horror and making her throw some of the alcohol up into the air. It threatened to come towards her, so she swiped at it - with the arm holding the stick on fire.
The result was a beautiful, if not dangerous, ball of fire bubbling in the air before it began to singe at her hem and long sleeves, setting her on fire. She was going to need her own nurse after all of this..

That was definitively infected.
His first poor soul was a female knight who had the misfortune of getting a rather large sliver in her leg, which had infected over the days. Tsking lightly, he went to work, promising her that she would walk and move again as soon as possible, and that this would hurt for a moment.
Pouring some alcohol after the wood chunk was extracted, he worked on binding the wound, hoping that it would help.
Her keening had quieted, at least, and giving her a soft head pat, he hoped she'd heal quickly, and continued to his next patient.

Annoyed with himself, Jack spent his minute of peace gathering everything he could that wasn't fire. It had been mindless gathering for the most part, turning to avoid other bustling healers and limping patients, barely noticing what was beyond his peripheral vision; all that mattered was the next goal.
He turned triumphant and hopefully a lot more stocked to handle incoming knights.

Keen chuckled a bit as she realized that for the last 25 minutes she had been trying so hard to revive a dead person. It isn't a good thing to be wasting time but it seemed so silly that she had been wasting time. Shaking away the thoughts she sobered up and headed to heal someone that really needed help.

Yet again he was more than prepared for the first patient: severe blood loss was easy enough to treat, merely cauterizing the wound in question before feeding the knight some water. But he had too little of it to help the second patient, and the third, despite his best efforts, died on him.
He gazed at the corpse, grit his teeth, and went to clean his hands.

Well the good thing was, since this person was suffering blood loss she certainly had enough to help him. She smiled a bit and started to cauterize the wound, closing it to stop the blood flow before washing away the dead skin and flakes of ash. It would still hurt for a while but they were not going to bleed out.

Washing his hands after his last patient, he walked towards his new one, taking in the abdominal wound that was pretty much speaking to him in burbles and blood.
It was a good thing that he wasn't weak to the sight.
Sighing a little, he introduced himself, going to lean over and examine the wound.
"This is going to sting, a lot. I'm sorry," he murmured to the gent, before working on cleaning the blood, and starting to rub some alcohol in it, trying to clean the insides, so there was no issue. After that, he went to get the flint and set alight a long rod, going to cauterize the wound, as quickly as he could, trying to silence the yelling as fast as he could.
It was a clean fix, as well as he could do with a moving target.
A familiar feeling, a comfort, really . . .

Hounding around the Great Hall, Jack gathered up what he could as quickly but steadily as his long legs allowed him. Part of him wondered if maybe he shouldn't have just joined those on the battlefield.
(And then what? Trust someone else to heal him? The thought bothered him too much.)

Another person died, but he didn't focus on that. What was important was to help those that he could. Jack's hands worked quickly, bandaging the head wound and giving the brave knight some water to replenish themselves, then moving on to clean and cauterize the abdominal wound. It was easy to lose himself in his work, barely hearing the grunts and groans and thank yous.
