I take the money, the GUI equipment (at least what can fit into her bag, with a preference for smaller objects, such as the strange ovular object), and talisman. The money is of obvious use, the GUI equipment might be useful for an NPC, should we manage to recuit one, or find a player who didn't get the starting stuff, and the talismen intrigues me for some reason. As a repayment of sorts, I try to arrange their body into a more dignified way (if rigroo mortis hasn't set in) and utter a prayer to bless their souls and guide them to heaven. I do this for all five of the bodies. From what I see on the bodies, most of them seem to be civilians; though it disturbs me that there was a dead player here that I was able to loot and hasn't respawned...

Nyx: The doors are all closed, no one is too be seen in the windows, even the flats above the shops look devoid of life. However, you do see a weapons shop about halfway down the street. You find the following from corpses: Corpse #1: Three copper coins Corpse #2: A book Corpse #3: A leather helm Corpse #4: A smith's hammer Corpse #5: A backpack filled with GUI items; this was a player who had just gotten started, like you What will you take?
Layla: You can fit everything from the backpack into your own except for the majority of the tomes. You could fit two or three. However, the backpack itself (contents included) is light enough that you could carry it on one shoulder without issue.

I change my mind about leaving the dagger and decide to take it. I might have blades from my character class, but it never hurts to have a knife. I sling the pack over my right shoulder, thinking that I'll probably have to drop it when I get into a battle to increase mobility, not only for ground moving and attacking , but it also seems likely that it will lock my wing from being able to unfold right. I take a moment to focus, and try to guage my energy levels. It seems that MP (shortening of "mana points", a common energy guage in RPGs) management is a skill I will need to master, and it first starts with awareness.

I decide to take the coins, the book, and the leave the hammer and helm. Sure, they would be worth selling, but too big and heavy. When I come to the 5th corpse and see the pack, I freeze as a realization hits me. If this person was a player... Then shouldn't the body have disappeared by now? And what about the NPCs? Shouldn't they have respawned? I pick up the GUI pack in case it's needed. I deside that with 2 packs, I could easily carry the helm in the second so I go and pick that back up. I decide to take the hammer as well for now just in case. I then rush to the weapons shop that I saw to see if I can get in.

Layla: You feel that your energy reserves at less than one-fourth of their maximum.
Nyx: Inside the weapon shop, you find a number of weapons, but no sign of life upon your initial entry. However, you can hear something in the back room. The weapons include: swords, axes, hammers, spears, daggers, and other assorted physical weapons. There are no weapons for mage classes.

I feel I should probably rest to recover energy, but it feels too dangerous to simply take a nap, or even meditate, as it shuts you down from the outside world. Since my powers are derived from the night goddess Sylane, I decide to try and pray to her and see if it recovers my energy any faster. I drop the extra bag beside me lightly, and kneel down, close my eyes, and start forming a prayer that I think would be suiting to an appeal for energy from a celestial being. Sylane, mother of the stars, I ask you now to lend me your strength. A great evil has been done here, and beseech you for your aid so that I may strike down these unrighteous murderers and avenge this terrible massacre.

Putting on the gloves and baging the rest, she heads towards the doors of the cathedral and tries to open them.

(You got it worse then me, because I live on the east side of the usa. And I got to go to bed early.) "Meh, you aint changing how I act at all. How I act is how I live by." Mazurn said as he tried to get back up. Then he went to go with the others.

I watch everyone's interactions with a shocked, abhorrent expression, though my mask creates the facade of calm indifference to all of it. Everyone seemed to be going into the city separately, which seemed unsafe to me, so I decide to walk over to Mazurn, who appears to be the best meat shield here and announce myself. "Excuse me, you there." I say to Mazurn as I briskly approach him and walk alongside him. "I am Apollo, Lysander, a humble mage. It would seem that there could be great danger in this city, so I propose we enter it together so that we may support each other in combat."

Nyx: In the back room, you find the smith's forge still operating. Near the furnace is an unfinished blade. The smith is nowhere to be seen, however. Even through the crackling flames, you can hear a soft sound.
Layla: After a minute, you feel a light breeze swirl around you as your energy levels rise to about three-quarters of their maximum.
Willow: The cathedral doors open slowly. They are very heavy, so it takes about three minutes for you to open them enough to slip in. Inside, you find several statues dedicated to various gods and goddesses of the Universal Religion, the world's only religion. To the right, you can see the God of Death himself: Ghuran.
Mazurn: The winged girl is dealing with corpses, the black-haired girl is going into the cathedral, and two of the others have slipped out of sight. The faceless mage and the wemic are just idly looking around, it seems.

Taking a moment to admire the craftmenship of her fathers statue, she begins searching for any usefull items as well as a mechanism that could lead to secret passegways, even a door would be helpful.

I feel more comfortable this this energy level, and I pick up the bag. I head into the center of city, where the main flag is being flown.

"Hmm, that sounds interesting. Sure, I will join you." Mazurn said as he looked at the mage, questioningfor a few seconds before giving up on it. "My name is Mazurn, and I am your number one attacker!"
